I see some of the other low reviews here which are generally old and seem like understandable miscommunications and/or misinterpretations of statements and policies. One review seems to be on the wrong company. One person even quotes the SAAG ad which actually supports the opposite of his complaint--the ad says "in some cases" the deductible can be waived. It's not a guarantee and seems like it would be unreasonable to expect that. But hey, what are you gonna do? Anyway, I have nothing but positives. I called yesterday for complete windshield replacement on 2018 Sonata. The very personable sales person got me booked for today for them to come to my house. Total cost $272 when Safelite wanted around $430+ plus tax to come to my house to do the same job and the soonest appt was two weeks away. They came on time and were quick, professional and friendly. The reason I chose this company is because a lady said my windshield chip repair has 60 days warranty and if crack runs the price I paid would get applied to a windshield replacement excluding taxes. Now that I have called back a lady Liz claiming she is the manager and owner said the price she offered at the beginning of our call was due to her being behind today so $230 is a sale price. I explained to her what the other lady had said about warranty. After Liz verified that conversation she said she could not honor sale price and what I had paid for on the repair. I would have to pay $225. I even mentioned I have an email from them priced at $195. Liz explained that this is for a windshield that no longer exists. Someone broke into our car and smashed the back windshield. We called around and we're quoted an arm, leg and our first born child. We called San Antonio Auto Glass and they were able to see us right away. The first glass didn't fit so they kept it over the weekend to make sure they got one that was gonna fit. They locked it up in their shop, which I appreciate. We picked it up today and were more than impressed how well the job was done. We were told that we would have to clean out the glass that was broken, but when we got home to do so, we noticed it was vacuumed out for us. Liz was so amazing, kind and went above and beyond to help us out. The kindness showed to us will never be forgotten. If we ever need to a window replaced we'll definitely be coming back here. I'd definitely recommend coming here if you need a repair done because you are definitely going to get top quality service. read more

We're at Ancira Chevrolet on I10 (take the offer for a check and have it repaired yourself) - they like them. Still waiting to see what their work looks like - but their original entry into my day won't get them any more than a 1 star rating unless they line my windshield with gold leaf. I would 100% agree with some of the other Yelp users and spend the extra money and use a National company. On first quote, this company gave me a great price. Scheduled my service at their shop and when I called to confirm two hours prior to arrival, company stated that they did not have my glass due to scratches on the one their received from their warehouse. (Keep in mind, I called them instead of them calling me). Another ti was scheduled and this time they were willing to come out to my residence to do the replacement for the same in shop price. On date of appointment, technician called and confirmed the time and gave me a narrower window of a arrival. Technician never showed. No call, no communications were received by the company. Gave this company three opportunities. Spend the extra money and get the service you deserve. Wanted really bad to give business to local companies. Did not work out this time. They were about half the price of safelite and it seems they stand behind their work. Fortunately I was robbed and violated a day before my day off and I called as soon as they open. Alamo was scheduled to show up Saturday between 9am and 2pm..the tech didn't show up until 2:30pm and had the wrong glass...then calling back today they are telling me it will be $249, when the 1st quote was $224 and change, after taxes.. horrible read more

Over priced & sorry a** service. First of all I made an appointment to have the window motor checked as it went out. I arrived at my scheduled time & to be told they did not have anyone there to check my truck. But I could leave my truck there. So why did you schedule the appointment then? How does make sense to leave a vehicle in shop if you have no one to check it out. Went back another day... Then these fools charged $150.00 for $55/60 part and with only 30 day warranty or at least that's what's Gus thinks it is. In all they charged $288.00 for replacing a window regulator. Do not trust this place, save your money for a place that is worth a damm! This business needs to get a clue & needs serious work on their customer service. No valen pito!!! read more

Rick from Team Alamo said he would be at my home to repair my rear window from the hailstorm. He said they would be there Saturday between 10-2. Well at 11am I called to check on their schedule. No one answered the phone said voicemail was full. So I called every hour on the hour till 3pm. No one answered each time I called. No one showed up and no one called me to cancel or to say they were delayed. NOTHING!!! I waited and wasted my whole afternoon. I know their is a lot of hail damage. So when USAA called you you shouldn't of made the appointment with me if you couldn't handle the work load. I made sure USAA knew about this. I would give them NO STAR!!! My father was trimming the oak at home. When he cut one of the branches it landed on the carport and rolled down and landed smack dab on the windshield. So needless to say. I had to replace the windshield. After calling a few places in the south San Antonio area. I called meyers n they quoted my windshield at $188 plus some rubber gasket and in stallion. I called AAA and I was greeted by someone who I had trouble understanding. I called 5 places before Monica answered at Team Alamo Auto Glass she quoted me a great price and offered to schedule an appointment for the following morning. We settled on 10 AM. When I called the following morning to confirm my appointment Lizz answered and was extremely helpful and friendly. There was a hail storm the night before causing loads of damage to other vehicles. When I arrived promptly at 9:50 am. I saw the plethora of people needing help and the phones were ringing off the hook. Dennis introduced himself told me he would be installing the windshield in my 1998 Dodge Ram pickup 3500. After what seemed like a blink of an eye my truck was ready to roll. Price was easily the best around. The technician was about 30 minutes late, which wouldn't be that bad except that they give you a 5 hour window, so that was a little annoying. He worked very quickly and had the job done in about half the time I expected (30ish minutes to replace a side window), vaccuumed all the glass and cleaned up after himself. After he was done and I was paying, he tells me that my window regulator is broken so I shouldn't open or close it until that's fixed... I've never had any issues with the window before, so that worried me, but he made it sound very minor and left before I could test it. When I did, the window would go down fine, but would only close about halfway and way to the side unless I guided it up with my hand. There's no way this was a preexisting issue. Supposedly the work is warrantied, so I'm in the process of seeing if they'll take care of it, but I'll have to drive all the way across town if they agree to fix it. I was going to get my windshield replaced as well, but now... I'm not sure the lower price is worth it. UPDATE: So far the manager hasn't returned any of my calls. read more
