I really wanted to like it. I really didn't. We went around 5:30pm on a weeknight. The place was half-full which I thought was a good sign. It want. The staff was very friendly. The food came out very fast. Too fast, like it was already made and microwaved. The beef tacos were incredibly greasy. The refried beans were tasteless. The rice was very salty. The enchiladas tasted "bad" and we couldn't eat then. Overall, a bad example of Mexican food. I live less than a mile away, can't imagine every going back. read more

I paid 6.75 for a margarita that I watch them make and poured the whole thing out of a plastic gallon of mix. It tasted exactly like sugar in a glass. It was horrible.... paid for my one drink and left. read more

My husband and I go to this place usually at lunch, and we always eat the lunch special...which is tasty. We get chips and salsa with our meal and a little sweet at the end of our meal. Great value for the price. The only thing is the booths are damaged and sometimes you get a booth with not a lot of cushion...ouch! read more

The one in West Linn is better, not much better but better. The taco salad was horribly small and bland, the other dishes had no flavor and very basic and small portions. We will not go back...Service was poor too. read more

My hubby and I came here to eat late on cinco de mayo and had a good experience. Service was great, when we walked up I realized we were a couple minutes late last their closing time, but we were waved to come on in. We loved the chips and salsa. We both ordered carne asada tacos. The flavor was on point (coming from a native San Diegan Mexican food snob, lol) but the tortillas were really oily, it made it hard to hold onto our food. That's really the only reason this review isn't five stars. We will return here when the Mexican food cravings come back! read more

I really enjoy this Mexican restaurant in town. The food is great, way better than Juan Colorado's. Also I think the service is good, fast, and efficient. My water glass is never empty and I drink a lot of water! They alway get the order out quickly. I have been here many times and have never been disappointed. First they cannot follow a proper order. I ordered a plan soft chicken taco. When it arrived it had cheese and was a hard taco. I ordered an asada burrito which was good. Nothing special I would have preferred the enchilada red sauce over the top. The price was way too high for just a burrito. $12 should have included rice and beans. Leaving this review for the terrible service. My takeout experience has been horrible. Took too long, staff just watching tv. No one offering another drink. I had to walk to the front for my order to be taken. Cashing out even took 10 minutes to complete. Nightmare. First visit here and had a great time. Dinner and drinks were legit and a good value. 2 salsas and the chips were very good. Not sure why the previous low ratings. Nice restaurant and separate cantina area. Everyone was very nice and attentive. Moved here from SoCal and it's been very hard to find a decent Mexican restaurant, this place comes pretty close. Love this place! Food and service are consistently good. I love their tortilla soup, guac, and they make their own special hot sauce (habanero - very spicy). They have two kinds of salsa that are both delicious and give you a special free treat/ dessert with your bill. Great value for the price and very clean. read more

For what it is, it's pretty good. The beans were very good... Taste like beans. The rice, pretty good... Taste just like Spanish rice. Microwave? No no microwave. Just hot oven prep plates with good Mexican cuisine. I live 2.5 miles away, and I'll be back for sure. read more

They have good food. It's pricy to eat here. Food comes in huge plates, chances are you can grab a to-go box if you like leftovers. Service can be either hit or miss. Today service was a miss. We asked for a minute to look over the menu, and were left unattended for ten minutes. The food came out in a timely manner. I wasn't impressed with my sons taco order. It was an Americanized crunchy taco instead of an authentic taco. He didn't even want it. When we were done eating, we had to wait another ten or so minutes to get a box. Finally, when it came time to check out the lady made it seem like we were bothering her. When we presented her with our coupon (the reason why we came in) she claimed it was expired. The date clearly read 4/15/18. We let her know that the coupon was not expired as we just received it and the date was clearly stated. She simply smirked and rang us up. No apology. No thank you for coming in. So when our server walked by and thanked us as we walked by, I made sure to thank him for his service. I hope that woman isn't there if I ever go back again. read more

Biggest Issue: My fish tacos came with the most ridiculously hot sauce that I couldn't even finish those I had put the stuff on. So I requested sour cream to use in place of this hot cream sauce & got a full bowl of the sour cream, which was just ridiculous...Turns out I was being charged 2 DOLLARS for a side of sour cream (naturally, the guy didn't happen to mention this until I was paying on my way out) - Which I only needed because no average person could handle what they were serving! The friend I was with tasted about a dot from the prong of her fork & thought THAT amount was way too spicy. If it wasn't my friends birthday, I absolutely would have said something & refused to have paid the $2. Additionally, deep fried fish for fish tacos? These were not worth anywhere near $12.50. I will not be going back. And will definitely be letting people know how not awesome this place is whenever anyone suggests checking this place out. read more

Amigos! This is a mexican food ripoff for poor suburban gringos who don't know any better. Canned and bland food is spread thin over a huge plate to give the illusion of portions as large as the Rio Grande! Free chips with salsa por favor!! We were christened "amigos" no less than 9 times by our new friends from south-of-the-border as they laughed all the way back to the kitchen! My boyfriend and I gave this Mexican restaurant a try since we both love Mexican food a lot. I think that the food is 5 stars! The only thing I noticed was that the prices seemed just a little steep... Most entrees run almost $15 each. They do have some combinations around $11 that were more reasonable. The chips were fresh and salsa was delicious: about medium to hot spicy. Definitely loved the food and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys the family Mexican style cuisine! read more

Been here a few times & really enjoy the food! The shredded beef is very tasty & the salsa is great! Love the different flavor margaritas! It's a fun Mexican restaurant & decorated accordingly!
