In a nutshell, ok but not memorable. Came in Tue night just before 8 for some takeout. Maybe handful of tables inside and saw another handful of takeout orders while I was waiting filling through. Ordered 6pc tuna sashimi and a chicken teriyaki dinner. Took a good 15 almost 20 which was fine. The tuna was fairly thick cut pieces, which was welcome considering the $17 price tag. The chicken teriyaki dinner left much to be desired. For one the chicken was way over cooked like someone forgot about, burnt a bit and very dry. I specifically asked for no rice, to which the server taking my order asked if I wanted extra veg, I said sure. Turns out they didn't make it that way and she apologized. It's not that hard to get a small request correct, one they suggested to begin with. The pitiful amt of veg that did come with it was disappointing. Smh. Probably won't be back. read more

We came in for a Monday lunch right after they opened at 11:30. The place filled up quickly. My date ordered off the lunch menu, pork katsu that came with a salad and scoop of rice. It was all pretty good and a large portion. I had to rolls, spicy tuna and the Hawaiian. Based on my experience with fresh sushi, these were good but I might not order them again as they weren't terrific. Service was friendly and attentive. Would we come back, very likely. And than she goes Oh, never mind, go outside please. People still at the table. Okay. So we wait 20 minutes and the table opens up. Just in time too, we are hungry. We sit down and look over the menu. Order some sushi and some of their fried chicken. Sorry I forgot the name. But here's why I would give it only one. Their food is soooooo bland! Like it takes like nothing. No seasoning at all! I shouldn't have to drown my sushi in soy sauce for it to taste like anything. I ordered the sunomono (cucumber salad), this is my favorite at Japanese restaurants. It was soooo bland, I didn't even taste the rice wine vinegar and other seasoning that you are supposed to brine the cucumbers in. It's like they cute the cucumbers and put soy sauce in it on top with sesame seeds thrown on top. Like, No. Okay so we went because of the reviews. Huh, apparently you guys have never had REALLY good sushi. Sorry, but you haven't. Also, I didn't see one person of their ethnicity eating there. We went to another restaurant (amazing!) and there was only us and two more white people. Everyone else was Asian. Why? Because it was amazing Asian food. This place, is not. read more
