Not only did Vernetta fulfill this need, etc. for him (his time), but she also included my twins. When the twins got old enough to climb out of their play pen, Vernetta was not only very understanding about it, but she and the other moms were very helpful. There were times when the kids in the dance/gymnastic class would sit in a circle. Yes, this was the time my other two sons would join in and sit with the group and they would be excited when their brother would win "dance bucks" to redeem for prizes. Ms. Vernetta was so positive, patient, empowering, etc. I can't say enough about her. Yes, indeed, she influenced their lives a great deal. Mike Jr helps out the Chicago community and also teaches (at the catholic university) and our twin sons, David and Robert, also do comparable work /help with the community and work in Washington D.C. Although our sons live so far away from us, we are grateful they had a nice, positive beginning and were around such positive people, like this dance teacher/mom group. Thank you so much, Venetta. The studio graciously allows children to borrow everything needed to participate (ballet shoes, tap shoes, leotards all in various sizes). Young children receive "ballet bucks" for class participation and doing/bringing back "homework" (a coloring page). She has older students help teach the younger classes. This allows for a much larger teacher/student ratio needed for the "littles" to have a successful class. This strategy also provides older students with leadership skills and practice with asserting themselves and directing others! I am thrilled to have found this sweet little neighborhood studio. PS the music is darling!

The production was beautiful, the costumes were stunning, and the instructors created such a supportive and inspiring environment. It was not just about learning choreography; the girls built confidence, discipline, and friendships that will last far beyond the stage. My older daughter loved it so much that she went on to take their Summer Intensive classes for all four weeks and she absolutely thrived. She came out a stronger, more poised dancer with an even deeper love for ballet, putting her other activities to the side. We have now enrolled in the academy, and she could not wait to get there yesterday getting dressed three hours early. We are so grateful for the dedication and passion the GSBA team pours into every detail. Highly recommend!

It was our first time taking dance lessons together, and she made the whole experience so much fun. We got to learn some of the basics while also working on a fun choreographed dance. Liza also joined us at our wedding reception to lead line dancing, which was such a fun addition to the night! She led our guests in dances to songs like "No Rompas Más Mi Pobre Corazón," along with some Bollywood classics. We are so happy with how our dance turned out. I like that they come up with the entire dance for you but that they are also very open to your ideas too, for example we saw some cute moves on tiktok that they were able to incorporate into our dance. Highly recommend.

So, it was moderately cute. My 6 yr. old was fascinated. She loved seeing kids performing different acts. My 3 yr. old just looked hot & tired, and not very interested in the show - even after we broke down & bought her a snow cone. It was easy to get up with her a bunch, and the grassy area up front for people to sit was a nice touch. It was supposed to be a 2 hr. show. We left at intermission, an hour into the show. I thought an hour was plenty. My oldest wanted to stay for the whole thing, so I guess that says a lot. I feel guilty giving it anything less than a glowing review, since it's a performance of kids. But I guess I want other parents to know that perhaps it's not the best show for the 3 & under set. If you want to show your (older) child that children do have important & positive impacts upon society, it'd be a good pick. I'm so impressed with George's customer service. I would give ten thousand stars if I could…read more I'll admit it: I'm an impulsive buyer. Once I decide I need something, I get fixated on it and need it in that moment. I typically buy my electronics from Best Buy, but they didn't have the flash I wanted in stock locally, and waiting a few days for delivery clearly wasn't an option for me. So I started looking up local camera stores and found George's Camera. Lucky me! I called, and they told me they had ONE left in stock. At that point, I wasn't taking any chances. I immediately asked if I could purchase it over the phone and pick it up that same day. They were more than accommodating. Now, this is where my poor planning comes in. The store closes at 6 PM, and I risked it all by getting there around 5:56 PM. I was already slightly panicked knowing I had cut it way too close, but what I absolutely did NOT anticipate was pulling up and discovering a Farmer's Market happening and nowhere to park! At that point, I knew I had officially pushed my luck. I called the store in a panic, and to my surprise someone actually answered the phone. Yes, I was suprised because the average business would of just watched it ring. By this time, I had circled around the store again and noticed the metal gate in front of the store was partially closed. My heart dropped. I knew there was no way I would make it in the store before closing. I explained the situation and asked if there was any way they could bring my purchase out to me. At 5:59 PM, ONE minute before closing, a staff member came outside and handed me my flash. Now THAT is customer service! They absolutely didn't have to do that, especially when I was the one showing up at the last possible second, but they truly saved the day. I appreciate them so much. And now, thanks to George's Camera, I'll be up all night practicing (yes, I've never used one ) with a flash I probably had no business impulsively buying in the first place. But considering they had exactly ONE left, let me buy it over the phone, and somehow got it into my hands at 5:59 PM despite a farmers market standing between me and my purchase...I'm choosing to believe I was destined to have this flash. Thank you soooooo much! George's Camera definitely gained a new customer today!
