Eventually the owner intervened and came over and basically said the whole system needed to be redoneand gave me a quote for $21k . So why didnt the first guy tell me that and save me $2k. I decided to go with them since I thought they knew the system already. Boy was i wrong. I put done $15k and it took them 4 months to finally finish installing system. All they kept telling me was trhey didnt have enough programmers. When then hire some. The system works better but still has glitters and then they over bill another $1700 . which I refuse to pay . I'm writing this at 3am as the system kept malfunctioning / beeping every 2 hours, waking up everyone in the house. Dispatch says they can't service and need to wait for service hours. Variations of this scenario have happened multiple times. In addition, the app doesn't work properly - it shows door in open position when it's locked. We notified them but they never acted on it. Other than that the app is very outdated (it's not even theirs). Used to have ADT at my old home never had a problem. After the lack of response from their team tonight, we will most definitely explore other options.

My thought as I called was, "This ain't gonna be very high on a plumber's daily worklist. I'll be lucky to have anyone even return my call." I got a call back within the hour and they got the information. The plumber called me shortly and we set up an appointment for the next day. The work was fast (why shouldn't it be?) and excellent, and the price was right (less than half what the big guys would charge). I am very happy with the outcome, and with the whole experience. Even though my need was a small one, I feel I got the attention any customer deserves. I will not hesitate to contact HOCOA first when I need work done in the future.

When we bought our home we received $10,000 in credit from our purchase but our escrow company…read moreadvised the funds needed to go directly to a contractor. We didn't know anyone so our realtor recommended Justin, she said she had used him for the same situation before. We discussed we could get the repairs done that we needed and if there was any remaining credit we would be issued a refund. Some of the repairs on the home needing to be done were urgent such as unsafe flooring on the second floor. Unfortunately justin was not able to communicate over the phone but was always responsive to texts. He was unable to do the work in a timely fashion. To do the work listed below it took him over two months of us begging him to come out or to send someone out. On several occasions he told us he would come but never did. Then when he did come we'd ask how much the work was costing so we could keep track of how much of the funds we were using. Justin never provided us with a bid, receipt, price, invoice or anything. Most of the work was actually performed by other contractors he sublet to but he was also not able to provide their invoices. As communication with Justin became increasingly unprofessional (every time we reached out via text he would let us know due to extreme personal difficulties he was not able to handle our account) we asked to be credited our remaining funds so we could get the rest of the work done by another contractor. After several weeks of requesting invoices for all work performed Justin sent a handwritten invoice for a lump sum charge of $10,400 and told us we spent all the credit. This is also after he told us he'd be providing us a discount. We asked for supporting documentation such as materials costs, receipts, and invoices from the sublet vendors to support this price. We have not received anything. We have threatened small claims court to which he responded "You can't file a claim in court that will hold you're just wasting time let's not threaten me with the court system because this will backfire in you as I have my ducks in a row.
