Ok first, this review is about the service. The food here is actually good. We came in on a Wednesday evening and the place had a few customers, but definitely not full. We waited sooooo loooong to get noticed by anyone and once we actually were noticed, we were told they were super busy and sorry for the wait. We looked around to try to figure out where this busy area was, but only saw one other party of six. Regardless, we eventually got our drinks. Then after waiting for what seemed like an eternity again, our server surfaced and apologized and said there was a huge mistake in the kitchen and our food would be out shortly. We tried to ask for more drinks as we were very patiently waiting, but he rushed off with our empty glasses before we could. After all that, we finally got our food by which time the refried beans were cold. I think what actually happened was not a huge kitchen mistake, but our server way deprioritized us as a party of two for the only other table in our server's section that had six people. We're still sitting here with promises of a single water refill and a check, and hoping we can get out within the next 30 minutes after being here for an hour and a half already and watching so many others that came in after us leave read more

San Felipe is fast, efficient, and never dull. They have excellent specials, fair prices and take pride in good service. I work at the Aberdeen Starbucks and enjoy when their employees come for a coffee or if I go to their restaurant for a nice cold draft and a plate of enchiladas verde. They are very much involved in the community and I have never had a bad meal at their other locations (tramway and Sanford) The Aberdeen location also has recently renovated their restaurant with a day of the dead theme, and Frida Khalo artwork tributes. Fresh flavor, beans were savory, NOT like from a can, rice was tasty and light flavored Side order of 1 Tamales $1.90 This was the BEST tamale of the several Mexican restaurants I've tried - El Vaquero, El Pueblito, La Poblanito, Casa Garcia. The masa is wonderful corn flavor with minimal beef topping sauce - super Camarones San Felipe $10.99 Shrimp wrapped in bacon, fried in our special butter recipe, served over a bed of sauteed onions and topped with melted monterey Jack cheese served with rice, pico de gallo and slices of avocado Yikes! This dish is NOT recommended. The shrimp was miniscule, they left the tails on, the bacon was not thoroughly cooked through, and they turned the shrimp into incinerated husks. Definitely the best Mexican restaurant around. The rest of them forgot what real Mexican food was. We keep going back trying new things each time excellent food. The fajitas are very expensive and not very good. Hardly any vegetables and super dry and salty. I couldn't eat them bc my mouth was overwhelmed with salt. Also there is a waitress waking around coughing and not covering up. Just coughing in the open air. There are way better options in town. read more

We were disappointed with the meals we had over a period of six visits. With the exception of the soup all other things were as tasteless as water. I asked a server if his mother made mole that tasted like mine did and he made a face and said "she would never make anything that tasted like this". In otherwords, No taste. They got my tables drink orders wrong but i had the shrimp and rice and it was so good so all in all it was a great trip.

The reason why I give them three stars is because they were kinda rushing me to eat my food. I could not enjoy the place and my food. I don't like being rushed and they were always coming over to how is everything . Don't like that, no, not one bit. I did like their food, it was not that bad. This is close to top of the list of the worst service I've had at a restaurant. I've been here twice now and both times have been absolutely horrible. I've had to flag down servers just to get them to bring me a menu at the bar. Even when I ask for a menu, I have to ask a second time. My new favorite local Mexican restaurant! Delicious food - their new Tortilla Soup is fantastic and the serving enormous. We also love the quesadillas and nachos. Haven't had a bad meal yet. Service is practically nonexistent - last visit I had to ask someone to take my money and bring change. She wasn't our waitress and took it without a word. Someone else brought the change. Great atmosphere, fast and polite service every time. Try the ACP, nachos or pollo salad. My favorite place to eat Mexican food in town.

San Felipe is a beautiful restaurant inside, beautiful colorful art, clean and a nice atmosphere but the food is not very good. Me and my daughter had the California burrito, some wings and my mom had a meat and rice dish. The burrito was too small, the meat in all of our dishes was tasteless and the cheese was horrible like it was not even Mexican cheese, there was no guacamole, onions or anything. The only thing that was good was the chicken wings, chips and salsa and the beer. It seems they are catering to old southern white palates. I went to San Felipe in Sanford and their food was so much better! Their California burrito was big and delicious. I will say that the service at both place was great. As much as I want to I cannot recommend this restaurant. If you are looking for authentic good Mexican food you will not find it here. read more

My family and I used to love eating here, I am not sure what has happened with this restaurant in the past few years. It is hardly ever busy when you go in, yet they never get your order right. We have been a few times where someone at the table was forgotten and never got their food. Other orders are always wrong. The waitress never comes to check on you or fill drinks.
