We arrived in the morning to pickup dry ice for our camping trip. We purchased 30lbs worth based on the staff recommendation. He split our dry ice into two bundles and I put each bundle in our two 60qt coolers. The dry ice lasted us about 48hours for our 2-night camping trip. We also bought bagged ice for our drinks for the trip. The dry ice kept our cubed ice cubed. :-) I recommend giving them a call before heading over there to make sure they didn't run out of inventory. They open at 7am. Juan and his team were very responsive and even texted me how their blocks look and all the specs. Not all ice is the same for those that don't understand the business. I can only echo what everyone else has said. I called Praxxair because they were closer and was told my dry ice would last three days unless I put it into an expensive insulated carrier. Well, I was headed to a one week camping trip I needed the dry ice to stay cold. I was turned off by Praxxair, so I called these guys. Like night and day. Super helpful, told me how dry ice works and directed me to their web site to read the three cooler method. One holds the dry ice and is opened only one a day or even every other day. Take a block out of the dry ice cooler and put it in my "freezer" cooler. One block is enough to keep ice cream rock hard in 100 degree temps. Freeze a bottle or two of the water, and use the bottle of frozen water in my refrigerator cooler. When the water melts, drink it. He told me that using this system with about 45 pounds of dry ice should keep everything frozen or cool for a week. he told me that hot weather doesn't melt dry ice. It is contact with Oxygen, so keep the dry ice cooler filled with towels to remove the air. They even cut and wrap the dry ice like an old fashioned butcher shop. Highly recommended.
