We're so glad we did! The patio is spacious and comfortable, with several seating areas that give it a relaxed atmosphere. Our server was friendly and attentive, and his recommendation of the Flatlander Chicken Sandwich ($15.99) was spot on. Since my husband and I often split meals, we ordered one sandwich to share. To our surprise, it arrived already divided onto two separate plates--a thoughtful touch that's becoming all too rare. That kind of service definitely earns extra points. The sandwich was delicious, with grilled chicken breast, guacamole, bacon, pepper jack cheese, and chipotle mayo, served with perfectly cooked crispy fries. I ordered an iced tea but couldn't resist trying a sample of their seasonal Peach Ale. It was so good that I ended up ordering a small glass. I'm not usually much of a beer drinker, but this one was outstanding. I only wish they sold it in cans so I could have taken some home! We sat out on the dog-friendly patio. We were lucky to get a table; the outside tables filled up quickly. When a couple arrived with their pup and found all the tables occupied, we invited them to join us. It turned out to be a nice way to meet fellow travelers. And the pizza? DELICIOUS! When we arrived, we were initially told dogs weren't allowed. I explained that our dog is extremely well-behaved and simply lays quietly under the table. The hostess said that was fine and seated us at a table right next to the outdoor area. After we sat down, three different employees approached us asking whether our dog was a service animal, even though another staff member had already approved her being there. By that point, we felt singled out and uncomfortable. The final employee was particularly rude and suggested we could tie "it" to a tree if we wanted to eat there. Referring to our dog as "it" and suggesting we leave her tied outside was shocking and unnecessary. Rather than continue feeling unwelcome, we decided to order a pizza to go. We had planned to stay for drinks, appetizers, and dinner, but instead we ate in our car. The prosciutto pizza was decent, but it was much saltier than we expected. At that point, we were just hungry and wanted to leave. What was most disappointing wasn't the dog policy itself--businesses are absolutely entitled to set their own policies. It was the inconsistent communication and the way we were treated after being told it was okay to stay. Instead, the experience left us feeling embarrassed and unwelcome. I enjoyed some of the beer samples that I tasted and decided to make a stop at this Brewpub over in Mountain Village. The bar itself is not very large. But I do enjoy the chill vibe here. Telluride Brewing Company Brew Pub also offers food items like burgers, salads and wings. I have yet to try the food here. But I have been here for a drink on a couple of occasions. Near the front of the pub are some canned beers to go if you want to take some home to enjoy. I love hanging out in the town of Mountain Village and it is nice to have a local brewery to swing by for a drink. Telluride Brewing is a short walk from the main plaza area. Telluride Brewing Company operates out of two physical locations and has another location on the outskirts of Telluride.

The Strawpile lager I had first was a light copper color with subtle caramel-y flavor and a very smooth finish. Had the Pilsner before, which was perfectly crisp. Fun, friendly atmosphere right in the brewing room, and I heard there's a sister facility in Basalt (I'll stop in) AND something coming for downtown Carbondale. They're doing a ton of great community outreach, too - look for their taps at SkiCo and at non-profit events.
