I found this coffee shop by accident after visiting the Winter Park Library across the street. I have probably driven by it multiple times and honestly I didn't notice it was there. I enjoy visiting coffee shops and even more if the space creates a cozy and inviting atmosphere for reading a book or catching up on work. That is the vibe San Julian's gave me when I walked in. I ordered an iced lavender latte and ended up staying for nearly 45 minutes. I made myself comfortable in one of the couches with a book and my coffee. I didn't try any of the pastries but they certainly looked good. The place serves Colombian coffee and you can also find pan de bono and empanadas. It was a great find. So many yummy treats, strong coffee and delightful bites to be had here! San Julian's is a super cute shop full of homage to Columbia. It's cozy and a nice place to relax and hang out. They have so many goodies to try- cookies and croissants and quesitos and other sweet treats. They have a menu of regular food as well. I stopped in before work one morning and got a breakfast sandwich that was fresh and whole and was a great start to the day. Bit of history: The coffee beans are cultivated on a farm in San Julian Caldas, Colombia, with a history that began with the first family plantations in 1860. I have driven by San Julian's Coffee dozens of times and I can't believe it took me so long to finally stop in for a visit. My husband & I had a morning coffee date here before work after coming across a drool-worthy photo of their pistachio latte on IG. We're both pistachio lovers and many of our local favorite pistachio lattes are only seasonal. This coffee shop is cozy and charming with a small, friendly staff. We were really impressed by their pastry case and the selection of croissants they had. They also serve some hot breakfast items and we decided to share one of their bacon, egg, and cheese croissants, along with a pistachio croissant and 2 pistachio lattes. Yes, we are obsessed... or should I say, a little nutty? lol The lattes served "for here" we gorgeous and I really love their ceramic mugs. The breakfast sandwich & croissant were a very generous size - great for sharing and we were actually stuffed! We also enjoyed the pistachio lattes. I guess it is a newer item for them and they are still figuring out how to add the pistachio dipped rim like we originally saw in the photo. Only downside was that they were closed on 3:30 on a weekday if you need to wfh until 5, you would need to transition to a different area. I'm am absolutely obsessed with the massive 5inch meringues they were selling with all the baked goods. It's was only $2.08 and it made my day...I bought the last 2. This location is absolutely fantastic for a quick, cozy breakfast! Their coffee is delicious as well as their sandwiches. I do find it a bit expensive, but this is located in the heart of Winter Park so understand you are paying Winter Park prices. The staff was nice also :) the people at the front mostly only spoke Spanish... just an fyi if you find yourself having a language barrier issue. The pan de bono is one of my most favorite lil pastries from here. It is very well made and fluffy! I had a caprese sandwich (on a croissant) as my main breakfast entree, and my boyfriend had a bacon, egg, and cheese croissant. I will say the size of these sandwiches are HUGE but SO GOOD! The inside of this coffee shop is absolutely cozy with ample seating and tables should you get food with your coffee. There were two tables when I went inside to order and not sure if the staff are just slow or don't care but I waited at least 5+ minutes for the girl behind the counter who saw me as I walked in to finish scooping and weighing coffee out to turn around and slowly take my order. I ordered the chocolate iced latte which in itself was absolutely delicious when it was finally made and done, not too pricey at all, just the service was not what I expected. Since I had a slow Saturday morning. And was craving some cafe con leche, I've decided to check this place out I usually go to the establishment next door rise chicken. But since I had some studying to do I decided to give this place a try. When I walked in there were no customers in, (it was still early) The pastry looked phenomenal but I decide to order breakfast sandwich that the young lady recommended. It was between a croissant and arepas bacon egg and cheese. She recommended the croissant, Which did not disappoint very tasty. The flow of the traffic started to pick up, i noticed while dining in is there are two people working and the one making coffee also takes the orders so the line could get backed up. Quite possibly one of the best cafes I've been to in awhile. We went on a Sunday morning and they even had live music! The coffee is from Colombia and they have traditional empanadas and pandebono, I savored the beef, chicken and chorizo con queso empanada. All of them were amazing but the beef one... wow! I also had the cafe con leche and I was with my dog Teddy and they made him a bowl with cream and dog biscuits. My dog was having the time of his life! I swung by here for a quick pick me up for my work lunch. Lucky for me it was a perfect spot to get some work done afterwards too. The empanadas were nice/hot/crunchy and fresh like I like them. I'm a sucker for empanadas specifically Colombian, so much so that whenever there is a new local joint I just can't pass up trying and bonus the coffee is right up my alley! After visiting Colombia earlier this year, I have to say I've really struggled to find a place that has an authentic taste of the great coffee and food the country has to offer. THIS...IS....IT! Not only was the coffee delicious, the empanadas were so on point, I traveled back to Colombia for a moment! When we sat down, the place was empty with a brilliant musician playing a variety of piano, saxophone, and drums. I blinked and the place was full. Full of life, full of culture. The staff were exceptional. We also witnessed a rude couple that came in with food from another place (didn't buy anything, but we're taking up seats in the restaurant) the staff were very calm about the situation and handled it very well. Was greeted by friendly staff as well as another set of guests with their sweet lil pupper! I ordered a lavender iced latte, which had a good amount of both lavender and coffee flavor to it. My friend ordered a drink that came with foam, wherein they ended up making extra and kindly asked if I wanted some added in mine. I also ordered a hawaiian and chorizo empanada (they were written as new items on a small board on the order counter). They offered two sauces and I chose the creamy one. The flavor was incredible!!! They handed it in a bag well packaged with a small wooden spoon (LOVE THIS-- they also only have paper straws!) and enough paper/napkins to not make a mess while it gets eaten in the car. Sounds interesting! They also have flavored syrups of basically every flavor you could want. They have lots of tea flavors as well! But also, there several snack & food options! I've only had the breakfast sandwich where you can choose either a bagel, croissant or panini. And then you have the option of ham, bacon, or turkey with egg and cheese OR there is a caprese with tomato, mozz and pesto! And they have empanadas, quesitos, arepas, and other sweets!! The last time I went I noticed they also had tostone bowls with either chicken or beef! The service is always quick, the staff are friendly and the food is delicious! There are comfy chairs, tables for working and bar space. The location is clean and semi easy to get to (there is parking behind). I highly recommend checking out San Julian's. Hidden Colombian gem! My husband and I were surprised to find out that San Julian's cafe has been open for 2yrs already! We frequently visit the restaurants and shops in the surrounding area and never saw it or knew about it. I was excited to find out we had another Colombian spot in the winter park area - it was so delicious, the food was fresh and came out pretty quickly, and the service was great. One of the best juices - mango and passion fruit - that I've had in awhile! And the stuffed arepas reminded me of my grandma's homemade arepas. Five stars for a small shop with big offerings along with big flavors and amazing service. San Julian's is actually located on Morse Ave., behind Bulla. Not on Fairbanks. There is no street parking, but there is a lot behind the building with plenty of spaces. San Julian's is between a gym & a pharmacy. It is a small spot; it has a couple of tables on one side, a couple of sofa chairs, and a coffee table on the other & a bar top opposite of the counter. Decor is comfy & cute. Displays with pastries, counter tops with whole bean coffee bags. Behind the counter, a barista was making magic. Big espresso machine. Server took my order, mocha coffee with dark chocolate (white chocolate is an option), a pan de bono, and two chicken empanadas. Goodness soo good, that coffee was sinful, and the pan de bono is crispy on the outside & cheesy, fluffy goodness inside. The empanadas, served with a spicy sauce, were for my husband & son, enjoyed the crispy empanadas crust & flavorful chicken filling. I will make sure to stop into San Julian's on every Trader Joe's run. read more

The espresso in the latte is so smooth that I didn't need any sweetener at all! They have even added live music though I am not sure if it is only on weekends. Lovely coffee shop with a great variety and friendly staff! This place opened right before the pandemic hit last year and I'm so glad they're still around. My boyfriend and I stopped in on a Saturday last year and the owner took us through an amazing coffee tour of the various ways they make coffee here and what the flavor differences are (pour over, French Press, Aeropress, etc.). My boyfriend is a huge coffee lover so this was such a treat for him. Meanwhile, I'm more of a cream with coffee girl and thoroughly enjoyed one of their mocha shakes which is a delicious mocha chocolate shake. I've been back a few times and love supporting this place. What a super cute coffee shop! I came in here to grab coffee with a friend and get some work done while my AC was being fixed. They offer complimentary wifi to customers. There is plenty of parking around back, they are next to the Winter Park CycleBar spin studio. They have a variety of pastries and snacks. I appreciated that they offered non dairy milk alternatives!
