Came in looking for dessert and they only have one thing...an ice cream cookie sandwich filled with Haagen dazs vanilla ice cream. We ordered it and 2 cups of coffee. Coffee was dark and strong; very good. Ice cream sandwich was excellent! Small establishment with modern cozy seating, big flavors and great service.

Very nice cozy atmosphere, great service with friendly waiters, and the food is AMAZING! My go to is the avocado salad with pulled chicken, and I could eat it every day!

Walked right in and was seated, drinks and appetizers served quickly and the meal exceeded our expectations. Chef used fresh ingredients and the fish bowl had lots of different flavors that blended perfectly. Truly a hidden gem of HHI

We were in town for a short off season vacation and curious about CD because of the solid reviews. The restaurant is on the smaller side but the ambience is nice and conducive to good interaction. As nice as our server was, it was distracting as we had to ask for multiple items and felt like we had to be super on top of what was going on. Again, being the off season. I'm wondering if they were short staffed. The food itself was solid but expensive for what you got. Each taco was $7.50-$9,50. And even though they were a bit larger than the typical Mexican food truck taco, I wasn't expecting to spend $30 on a taco entree with no sides. Added a chopped salad to make it a filling meal. Again food was good but it feels flat for us overall.

The service, food, atmosphere and location was great. You do have to pay admission ($9) to get to the area but it is great if you are coming to the lighthouse, etc.

    Best Cornbread Ever.

This is exactly how we could have wanted to end our Hilton Head vacation - this was like quintessential summer evening. Chow Daddy's feels like someone's backyard - there are a couple ping pong tables, some high tops with a wooden fence surrounding them. It's super homey. We started with the cornbread. It must have been fried. It was really moist and at the same time had this crisp exterior. I mean maybe it was baked, but damn it was good and it came with this awesome chipotle aioli. We then got some tacos. At most you need two tacos and depending on apps/drinks you might be able to get away with just having one taco. The tacos are huge. They're really good too. One major downside: there were a ton of mosquitos. Seriously, a ton, I got eaten alive. There should be like 4 of those citronella candles to repel mosquitos on every table.

Um, yes. A million times yes. First of all, I just need to say Chow Daddy's cornbread is the best cornbread I've ever had, and I'm not even the biggest fan of cornbread. I need an unlimited supply of their cornbread shipped home, monthly. Thanks. My partner eats more burgers than anyone I know, and he said that his burger at Chow Daddy's was "one of the best burgers" he's ever tried. I can also say the same about my chicken sandwich. It was absolutely out of this world. The food at Chow Daddy's was incredible and we can't wait to dine here again during our next visit to HHI. The service was also top-notch. The perfect dining experience!

I have heard the hype about this place, but I have never made it until now. Very good food, drinks and service! I ordered the Mahi bowl and all of the flavors complimented one another. Grilled wild caught mahi, basmati rice, green slaw, salsa verde, homemade pickled peppers, fresh corn salsa, black bean salsa. Delicious!

Chow Daddy's is furthest I have ventured out on the island. Not that 15 minutes further makes a real difference but it is just in an area I have not been before. I am glad I made the trip as I had a chance to see some interesting things along the way and the food experience at the place made everything worthwhile. The Pork Nachos -- Poblano queso, fresh corn, smoked pork, cilantro, house-pickled peppers, were amazing! Great presentation and done in a way that was fresh departure for a somewhat usual menu item. For the main course I had the Spicy Fish -- Grilled with Cajun spices, lemon garlic butter. I was told it was a blacked cod which seemed about right. The bowl was great but I wish I had a head's up on the Cilantro as I would have asked to have it without it. The only ding I would give the place is what seems to be a bad combination of hard to read menus in extremely dim lighting. I almost NEVER use a phone light to read in a restaurant but I would not have been able to get by here without it. I also say someone across the way probably a 1/4 of my age having to do the same thing so it is a real problem. Otherwise the food is great and it would certainly be a place to return to on a trip back into this area.

My friend and I came in here for dinner on a Saturday evening. We got here pretty early, and the place was fairly empty. The service was very quick. We both ordered burgers and fries which really hit the spot!

Super, super excellent. We love Hilton Head and had never been here before. We came to celebrate my dad's birthday and it did not disappoint whatsoever! We opted to eat outside. They have a very pretty patio and very effective heat lamps by each table. We started with the black bean dip and corn bread appetizers. Both of these were delicious--very good and balanced flavor wise. For entrees, we ordered the fried chicken bun, the chow daddy's burger, the cotija burger, and the spicy fish hot bowl. No one would let me try a bit of their meal because they were all so good. I'm going to be dreaming about and drooling over that chicken sandwich for a while. The chicken sandwich was so juicy and nicely seasoned. I'm trying to be ~healthy~ and I ordered bacon brussel sprouts instead of fries. I wish these had been a bit crispier, but I still ate them and enjoyed them thoroughly. We had a great experience here and I cannot recommend this place enough!

Visited Chow Daddy's in their new location in Sea Pines several times this January during our month in HH, and it was one of our favorites! Every time I went in I was shocked it wasn't more busy. My 1st visit I had the avocado salad with grilled shrimp- everything was so fresh and flavorful. This last visit I got the grilled shrimp taco and lobster taco and they were fantastic too. Their guacamole and chips also made for a fan favorite appetizer with our group. Sea Pines location is smaller and more intimate than the old location on the island- I hope that it sticks around!

I believe that everything we had was good, including the small seafood tower and the flourless chocolate torte. I believe we also got an appetizer, but I don't have a picture of it. Secondly, the service was AMAZING!! They truly made our evening so special. We immediately received champagne, they were able to seat us early, and everyone was so incredibly kind. The bartender (I forgot her name) recommended a few drinks, such as the devil's margarita, which was amazing. She even took photos of us outside and came over to our table a few times to make sure we were doing okay! I also got a dirty gin martini which was great. I cannot emphasize enough how truly special they helped make our evening. They went above and beyond. This is the kind of service you hope for when dining out. What stood out most is that it's not just your server stopping by -- the host who seats you, managers, waiters, and bussers all come by to make sure you're taken care of. Now let's talk about the food. If you're a Brussels sprouts fan, this is the place to come. The fried Brussels sprouts are served with fried pork belly -- and honestly, who can top that? The balsamic glaze on top is absolutely amazing. We also tried the short rib empanadas. They were good, though the flavor profile wasn't quite what I personally expected. The corn risotto dish normally comes with fried shrimp, but as someone who isn't a shrimp lover, they kindly accommodated my request and substituted blackened chicken. The combination of the blackened chicken with the corn risotto was outstanding -- a perfect balance of flavors. And don't skip the hush puppies. They're crisp on the outside, soft in the center, and have a sweet glaze that is absolutely to die for. We didn't get to sit outside because it was a bit cool, but the patio overlooking the beach is stunning and would be a wonderful place to dine when the weather cooperates.

I appreciated the thought put into the decor and overall vibe, it balanced classic coastal very well. The menu options were excellent, between the dinner menu and specials it was difficult to make a final decision. I ultimately went with the surf and turf and have no regrets, my filet was tender and the crusted lobster was a take I wasn't expecting but I was really happy with the jam packed flavor in that little guy. Our group unanimously had excellent meals with high praise to the street corn elote, Thai crunch salad, striped bass and beet salad. The key lime cheesecake is truly one of the best cheesecakes I've have in my life and that's not an exaggeration, that slice had to of been 6 inches tall, perfectly set, and had a lovely keylime flavor without pulling too acidic. Our service was OK but could use some improvement, the server managing our table appeared to be juggling a few demanding tables which left us with a cluttered table full of empty glasses plates, needing refills, needing silverware (to eat). When Kayla was able to get to our table she was knowledgeable on the menu, wine pairing, and recommendations. My recommendations would be to have a busser assisting the server with larger parties and help alleviate some of these smaller asks that keeps us attended to and frees up the waitress to focus on food and drinks.

We are surprised that Truffles continues to thrive in this location - a local's hangout - we saw lots of retired couples enjoying the menu. Thankfully, only 2 small TV's in bar. This is truly a 5/5 restaurant. Our skilled server advised us that a portion of the restaurant was hosting 15 folks and was 1/2 children. Whilst we took to avoid this section, it seemed the mothers had trained the children to behave properly; perhaps the handheld devices assisted. My dear wife would LOVE this property. While Not on my top ten list; a visit today was lovely. Years ago in driving trough Italy, I came to crave Grey days. Seems for the past 2 weeks Hilton Head has been sun drenched, and today's wind and clouds were welcome. The Atlantic Ocean is always much mor dramatic on these days. Thanks YELP! - reviews are great. We don't object to a pricey restaurant IF service, ambience, menu and food is very good. We had a waterfront restaurant yesterday, and we shall not return for several years. Given annual 2 week autumn and spring visits, we'll be certain to revisit on cloudy days. Caveat: menu is chicken centric, and we avoid all; however, Fresh Triggerfish is on the menu -- YEA!!!!! Cajun Fish wild trigger dusted with Cajun spices and grilled with butter, fresh corn salsa, coleslaw, crispy fries. Triggerfish is a highly prized, mild, and slightly sweet white fish with a firm, flaky texture often compared to crab or grouper . It is best prepared by searing, grilling, or baking to achieve a caramelized, golden crust while maintaining moisture, often featured in coastal, upscale-casual dining. Booths are too tight for many men, and this should be corrected. We love that a decorator many years ago designed this property, and we observe that a update is long overdue. Very weird and strange music -- Noise.... We shall return. 5 Stars.

For the time of day, made for a romantic evening overlooking the beach and crashing waves. From the first spoonful to the last bite, this seafood-focused meal was a standout -- refined, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The Corn Bleu Crab Bisque was a great start. Rich and velvety, it delivered deep, layered flavor without feeling heavy. The sweetness of the corn played beautifully with the briny richness of the crab, and the bleu cheese added just the right touch of sharpness. The seasoning on the Old Bay was a bit heavy for my taste that subtracted a sophisticated finish. Next came the Pan-Seared Scallops, and they were nothing short of outstanding. Perfectly caramelized on the outside and tender within, the scallops were cooked with precision. They rested atop a bed of citrus-sweet corn, which was frozen. (Otherwise, this dish would have been a 10/10) accompanied by a lemon beurre blance. The Blackened Redfish brought the meal home with bold, southern-inspired flavor. The crust had a fantastic sear, locking in the fish's natural moisture while delivering a satisfying punch of Cajun spice from the red pepper sauce. It was served with a light coconut inspired rice pilaf. Service was warm and attentive, and the pacing of the courses was spot-on.
