If you want little interaction, there's two screens to order on although the people who work there are very nice. I love that whether you pick a bowl or make your own you pay the same price (aside from adding premium extras). The make your own comes with a crazy amount of options at no extra cost and being able to customize to your own taste is great. Hot Cheetos as a topper are a must! It's been a minute since I've gotten a Poke Bowl here so I decided to pick up a couple of bowls. Prices have gone up a couple of dollars to $12.99 for a 2-scoop protein bowl but hey, inflationary times. Still, it's a good deal with many toppings compared to HEB's $10.99 bowl. I decided to order both bowls with Eel as my protein as it's so flavorful, healthy and is a treat. One bowl had brown rice and the other had Sushi Rice which has vinegar added to it. The Eel was placed in a plastic container so I could warm it up at home. I didn't want to have the warmed Eel on top of all my fresh veggies & toppings. When I got home, I microwaved it for 30 seconds on a plate and separated it from the rice & salad. I basically ate a deconstructed Poke Bowl & added the Eel sauce on the warmed Eel, Ponzu sauce on the salad and microwaved the hot rice in another bowl. Ate a piece of Eel, some salad & a fork full of rice.I just felt like eating it like that, LOL! Hubs just microwaved the Eel and dumped everything in a bowl & tossed it together rice & all, LOL!! Everything was fresh and my toppings were: Romaine Lettuce, Mango Salsa, chopped Mango pieces, Edamame, shredded Red Cabbage, red Radish slices, 1/2 a hard-boiled egg(I thought it would've been Tamago when I read it online so pleasantly surprised), fresh Spinach, Corn, Seaweed Salad, shredded Carrots, Cilantro, Masago, Sesame Seeds, Nori and Fried Onions. I savored every bite and liked how I could customize the sauce levels since I got it to go. You can have a maximum of 4 sauces per person. I chose the Eel, Ponzu and Ginger Dressing. I should've gotten 2 Eel sauces but will next time around. I was fully satisfied and held me over without craving for a snack later in the evening. So healthy and fresh! Decent quality poke! An introvert must have designed the ordering system - you walk up to a kiosk and select what you want and don't even have to talk to anyone, I love it! The service was also very quick, after ordering, I sat down and didn't even have time to pull out my phone and unlock the screen before they called my name with my order. Even with the 25-minute drive home, the bowl was still fresh (they also packed the bowl in a paper bag sideways so it could sit flat and stapled it shut so no leaks, nice!). I got tuna and salmon and the cuts of fish were an adequate size and the other toppings were very fresh. I also appreciate it when you can include seaweed salad in your bowl at no additional cost. My only gripe was that I added two sauces, the house and I believe a ponzu/yuzu sort, and I did not really detect any sauce in my bowl. Maybe the rice soaked it up but I also did not taste much in the rice. I've never done this with a poke bowl but I drizzled a packet of included soy sauce over the bowl. The employees do their own thing but they also laugh and seem to genuinely enjoy being at work which is super awesome to see! The salmon was so dang delicious! Fresh poke, fast service in a small setting, pretty much what you'd expect from these poke places popping up now days. They have a typical poke bar where you add your indigents, most of there items they have a pretty typical, the two items I did see that were unique were mango salsa and hot Cheetos. I really wish though San poke or any poke place for that matter had some different add ins, something more authentic Hawaiian/ Japanese add ins. They do also have boba here witch is a nice addition or incentive if your craving that. Portions are a little small but not to where it hurts them or tour wallet.
