This place has been on my bucket list for a long time, and I'm really grateful I finally got to experience it. The grounds are stunning and absolutely worth the visit. It didn't feel like California at all, in the best way. I would highly recommend it.

I came here for dessert and drinks and they were able to sit us despite being fully booked for the evening. We sat outside in the courtyard which was so beautiful and relaxing. I ordered a hot toddy and shared cherries jubilee and chocolate soufflé. The cherries jubilee was prepared under a flame which was a nice touch. The waitstaff were excellent, the hostesses were what you would expect for this type of area and wealth. I peeked inside their bar which was gorgeously decorated for Christmas and would love to come back to enjoy some cocktails in there. The grounds of this place are breathtaking -especially at Christmastime. What a treat to experience!

Family happy hour at the SpeakEasy. Good vibe and staff here. We all had the "specialty" drinks which were good and fun to try. Good apps too. Although they were booked (Res only) we had plenty of time to happy hour.

I spent three unforgettable nights! Its tucked away in the most beautiful setting, it felt like a true escape. The gardens, the views, the cottage, everything was peaceful, romantic, and intentional. The entire experience was wrapped in luxury and with every detail thoughtfully designed to create a sense of ease, beauty, and calm. The staff was warm, the food was incredible, and dining at their on-site Michelin-starred restaurant, "Stonehouse" made it even more special. I left feeling completely refreshed and inspired. I'm already dreaming of going back.

Gorgeous grounds, top notch service and full of rich history. Felt like you have escaped and gone to the most serene and manicured garden and grounds. From pulling up at the start of the resort to driving up to the valet, registration and beyond. Amazing! Lemon vines are my favorite. A must visit to dine or stay in Montecito for a five star experience.

Sophia at the front desk was absolutely so rude and inappropriate! My husband book the room and we were traveling from the east coast and wanting to know where would sum good sight seeing spots were when we asked her she was on her phone rolling her eyes the whole time and then tells us to just look it up with our phones and that she's busy to then just go back on her phone and text. My husband came later to ask her questions and she was hitting on him and tried to get my husband to follow her TikTok where she has a link to her Venmo asking him to send her money! Completely inappropriate! Throughout our experience she was rude and on her phone. I don't know what type of people work there or what they're doing on the side but I am furious and this need to be looked into!

You drive thru a long and beautiful driveway to get to the valet where they direct you to the restaurant. The entrance was already beautiful but when you walk on the grounds the beauty never fades. We had made reservations and was seated promptly. It was Sunday brunch so it was a prefixed menu. My husband got champagne which he said tasted one of the best and I got a peach bellini. Their pastry basket was great, filled with a good variety of baked goods and all tasty. We ordered the crabcake and salad then for the entree steak and halibut. Then for dessert got the lemon tart and chocolate cake. We were celebrating our anniversary and they decorated the plates beautifully. The staff was so amazing. It's on the pricier side but for our special occasion very much worth it. We had a wonderful meal followed by a nice stroll of the gardens for very nice pictures.

San Ysidro Ranch exceeded every expectation I had and I didn't even have any! This place is amazing and breathtaking with every step. My friends and I came for the afternoon tea service and had the most amazing time with amazing service, beautiful views, and just amazing everything! Thank you to Pascual, Vinny, and Vicky who treated us like queens! The tea service is held in the tranquil garden and is just the best way to spend the afternoon! $55 is such a deal as it includes tea, sandwiches, scones, and pastries. Be sure to dress up for pictures because you will want a get a lot with how beautiful this place is. I am already thinking about the next time I want to come back as there is so many ways to spend the day here! San Ysidro Ranch is WORTH IT! You will not be disappointed!

I just had an enchanting afternoon tea. It was the perfect way to spend my day off. I've never been here and just loved it!! Also, because it was during the week and barely even saw any other guests. We had the entire place to ourselves, so it made the afternoon even more amazing. Our server was super nice and very attentive. Loved our table overlooking the beautiful grounds and the mountains. So peacefull. It's something you need to experience for yourself. The tea, sandwiches, savery & sweet pasteries and the chocolates. Everything was just so perfect. I need to come back and experience brunch or dinner.

You can't miss the huge "Coffee" sign visible from the highway. We recently had to drive said route and decided to finally visit. And we were happy we did. Cuyama Buckhorn serves tasty American dishes from biscuits and gravy to burgers. It was lunch, so we had the burgers. Very good! We tried the apple pie as well and it was nice. We stopped by again on the way back home for some coffee. Good stuff. Not a fan of the matcha drink ( but too much milk) Great location for travelers, friendly service. Fun diner vibe. The drive out was lovely, with lots of yellow broom blooming on the hills. We passed the Firefighter Monument that my husband tends that commemorates the firefighters killed in the Spanish Ranch fire, and checked out the growth of some oak trees around it. We pulled in for an early lunch at the Buckhorn and got a nice booth near a window. We were waited on immediately and provided water and a new menu with more of an emphasis on breakfast dishes. It was early lunch for us, and I ordered my favorite "Breakfast Salad," a Cobb salad, which has bacon and egg in it. My husband got the pulled pork sandwich, a specialty of the place. There was a delay getting the wine menu, and my first choice had run out, so I tried a white that was close to a Sauvignon Blanc from a local vineyard. I had spied some very authentic looking apple pie coming in, and we ordered a slice for desert. It came with a couple of scoops of creamy ice cream, and had a sure-enough baked through crust with juicy, cinnamony apples inside! On the way to the car, we noticed a local rancher "branding" the building, by pushing his heated up brand into the front wall of the restaurant where many other brands appeared. The paint smoked a bit, and when he was done, a spade appeared on the facade, "Spade Ranch," he told me, literally making his brand relevant to the cafe! We reveled in the beauty of the ride back, appreciated out step back in time into the history of this beautiful valley.

The bed was firm, which is fine with me, with very nice crisp, cotton sheets, and very fluffy pillows. The bed was made with two pillows, but there was an extra pillow and blanket in the closet. I liked the furniture in the room, there were two cozy chairs with a glass top table in between them, nightstand with lamp on either side of the bed, a desk and chair, an armoire and another round table with a lamp in the corner, not to mention The dresser that the TV was sitting on. The place was very green. The bathroom was a standard bathroom with a regular tub/shower, sink and toilet in the same room. They provided a good amount of towels so I didn't have to ask for more and the amenities were nice, I remember in particular, there was a shampoo and a conditioner, which is not always the case. The service in the hotel was excellent, anytime I picked up the phone, somebody answered promptly and did whatever it is that I asked if it was something they could do there. They helped me take my luggage up to the room and offered to assist unpacking and they were happy to send someone up to help me pack and take luggage back down. They do have water and ice, so I had a nice tray with a water jug and metal ice bucket available in the room. There was a mini fridge, not stocked, but available to put stuff in the room. Sometimes it's the small touches, like there was a pin and clipboard with paper next to the phone and some boxes of tissue. The stay included coffee and pastries, which are available on the third floor from 7 AM until 10 AM, I enjoyed several cups of coffee and pastries. The lobby was quite nice, carpeted with some cozy sofas and coffee tables. The closet was an actual closet that had sliding doors and some wooden hangers inside. I liked that the curtains at the window were a double set, with a set of sheer curtains closer to the window, and then a set of heavier opaque curtains on the outside, allowing you to adjust for privacy and lighting. The window had a screen and could be pulled open to enjoy the cool evening air. The AC was very strong and powerful, nice and cool. Due to the fact that I am visually impaired, I called and asked if someone could show me up to the place to get the coffee in the morning and they sent someone right away who even offered to just go and bring it to me if I would like. They were very accommodating. I found the third floor. There is an open space for fresh air, but there were absolutely no chairs or tables or anywhere to sit. I think it would be wonderful if there were some outdoor sofas and tables up there for people to relax and enjoy their drinks and Read in that sort of thing. I also think it would be really nice if they started offering at least some kind of room service, at least a basic breakfast lunch and dinner menu so that you can just pick up the phone and ask for a veggie omelette with butter toast and a large vanilla latte without even having to get out of bed. Forgot to mention, the bathroom does have a blow dryer, which is always a plus. This hotel is of course, located in the Korea, town district of Los Angeles, which is a bit west of downtown. I would recommend staying here and I would stay here again. It is a solid mid range hotel.

My husband ordered a glass of Vermentino (Italian white wine). Waiter arrived with a bottle of Château Minuty, Côtes de Provence. I mentioned to him that we ordered the Vermentino and he proceeds to tell me "this is the Vermentino" when I can see clearly the bottle says: Minuty Côtes de Provence. I ask: "Are you sure? Because that is a French Côtes de Provence" Waiter responds: "Yes, this is the Vermentino". Me: "But that bottle is a French wine, not Italian" Waiter: "This is the wine", without any attempt to look at the label or check if he picked up the wrong bottle. I gave up at that point because I felt it was useless to argue with uninformed staff who insisted it was something it wasn't. (If he had said "We are out of the Vermentino, may I suggest this as a an alternative" it would have been a different matter.) I just shrugged and my husband laughed because it was such an absurd situation. I have never been gaslit about the wine before, especially with the bottle right in front of me. We asked for the bill, and sure enough, it said "MINUTY - Côtes de Provence" on it. Oh well, I can read... It is disappointing to see such a fabulous and storied location hire wait staff that is not knowledgeable on wine, let alone mindful of customer comments. (Even when pouring my glass of champagne, he held the bottle by the neck and side -quel horreur!- and not from the bottom, with hand on punt). The service here used to much more old school, well-mannered and attentive. For the prices charged (and hence larger tip) one would expect better trained staff . Gentleman head of valet service was lovely.
