Very happy with the service here!!!! I visited during a work trip based on google reviews and it was super close to The Epicurian hotel where I was staying. Kim was so welcoming and friendly! She made me laugh a few times with funny stories and was so sweet! I called ahead and was able to walk-in (thanks to the rain, they were not busy) Đù (goes by Dawn) did my pedicure. She provided me with a bottled water to start off with. Kim offered me some magazines and I told them both my big toe nail had chipped and broke into my nail bed the previous night. Đù fixed it gently and made sure to put in together again so I wouldn't have any complications. Also, I haven't had a glorious massage like that in quite sometime! She must have massaged my feet and legs for over 10 minutes. Hot towel too. Very happy! I read some of the negative reviews on yelp and just don't agree. I was very happy with my services. Everything was clean and although shop is small and is full (many colors is a good thing in my book!), it didn't bother me like others. They provide me an excellent pedicure and that's all I need. I walked in here for a pedicure and it wasnt busy and they took me right away. Most nail salons I go to are hectic, and give you mediocre massages. Don gave me the best massage ever, the owner Kim is super friendly and I like her jokes. The chairs are also super comfy here too. I will definetley come back here for my next manicure. I went to Sanaca two times. The pedicures are pretty decent. The first time I went I made an appointment. The second time that I went, due to early release at work, I did a walk-in. I was reprimanded for not calling and forced to decide between a pedicure or a fill-in in the most condescending manner. Mainly, my biggest concern was skill. I have been getting my nails done for over 20 years, so I am no rookie at upkeep. I had 2 massive fungi when another nail technician (while home for holidays) went to remove my polish, she was appalled at the negligence. Also, they only do cash, which is a pain sometimes. Also, it is THE smallest parking lot in the world-- small by space size, not the lot itself.. I almost had to crawl in through my hatch bc of the cars parked next to me. I am done. read more

Small establishment. Walked in without an appointment and was tended to immediately. The owner, Kim, catered to every need water, temperature, tea, you name it. She knows all her customers by name. One even brought her a gift. She makes the experience amigable and personable. The manicure was inexpensive and good quality. I was looking for close place near where I was at after my clinicals. First off, the inside looks like a small apartment. It's soooo cluttered and immediately my nose started to become stuffy. There's a lot of misc items and the square foot area is small to begin with. Anyways long story. I had left over acrylic on my nails and wanted that soaked off and a manicure. And when they asked me to pick a color I told them I actually didn't want any polish bc I was going to go home and do my own pedicure at home. When the lady starts on my nails she just starts to take off my left over gel with the rolling mechanical buffer. Which I was fine with. She had just finished my right hand and was starting on my left and I just decided to ask how much everything would be. And another lady answered who knew better English, "$25" I was like 25$? And she was like yes 10 for take off and 15 for manicure. Looking at the condition of the place I couldn't believe it. Then I said I didn't get my gel soaked off. Then she said $5 then. I was like what?? Wth? How do you go from 25 to 5?!? Then the older lady continues to work on my nails then she stops and starts speaking Vietnamese to the other lady and the English speaking woman says. It's $5 per hand. And at that point I was so frustrated by how they handled the situation that I just said forget and I'll just pay $5. So at the end I put a $1 tip and as I'm walking out they stop and me and say "umm you left a tip after she ran the card" and I'm like okay well no one told me anything or asked me if wanted to leave a tip before she runs my card. At the end of the day that's their job. . In addition she never asked me if I wanted to leave a tip and when I signed there's a place to leave a tip. I'm done. read more

Alright so I just left Senaca and this is how it went. Having read reviews here before, I called ahead and was told to come on in. On the way I pulled money out (not a big deal lol). When I arrived I was welcomed by Kim and Dawn, sat down and given water and a piece of sugar cane (weird but adorable). The vibe is small cozy and relaxed, like your Vietnamese neighbor's living room. I got a gel manicure by Dawn. She was very good. A lot of attention to detail and I felt pampered and relaxed. They did speak Vietnamese to each other, by the way, but this never bothers me. They spoke English just fine and were very polite and sweet so whatever. I am really picky about gels. I have had people do them too thick, too thin, too bumpy but these were perfect! Other places in south tampa that I have been to are Heavenly nails where they did them too thick and used a drill to destroy my nail bed (also just a little too loud and busy for me), sassy nails on South Macdill (almost perfect, great at caring for the nail, and very nice but unfortunately bumpy gels), and Sanaca just met all my needs. I highly recommend them. Btw my nails were $35 which I think is a little expensive but worth it for the quality. read more

I have been coming to Sanaca Nail to see Kim since I relocated to south Tampa in 2006. After trying many nail salons and being disappointed, the owner of Soho Tan, which used to be next door, recommended them to me. I wanted someplace extremely clean and that did a great job! Not too much to ask... Right? Kim is welcoming, friendly, funny and sweet. She's like another mom to me and a great friend to her clients. Coming here is like girls night- you always leave feeling refreshed and having laughed a lot. Her treatments are great, mani/pedi prices unbeatable, Especially considering they use all OPI, Essie and CND products. I love the OPI axxum gel for special occasions or the CND vinyl for when I'm going to be harder on my nails. They're great with kids too- my niece had her first pedicure here during my bridal party! If you're looking for a super posh spa then go to the ritz- but they have comfy massage chairs, hot towels, great products, prices, and my nails always look amazing! I recently stopped into Sanaca Nail for the first time for a quick pedicure and I was pleasantly surprised by how great it was. I had the express pedicure for $35 and it took a little under 45 minutes. Kim was very nice and welcoming. She has lots of drinks and treats around. I especially enjoyed the cupcake from the Cupcake Spot! The space is small and somewhat cluttered, but I was very comfortable and had a great pedicure. The foot massage was better than most! They have lots of regulars, but walk-ins are also welcome. They do not accept credit cards though, so be sure to bring cash or check. read more

Just left Sanaca Nails. Kim just reminded me I have been coming there for 9 years. She, Aunt Kim and Dawn do great work and are so pleasant. I keep coming back because the they are so crazy about disinfecting everything and they truly appreciate their customers and treat them well. Kim lights up the shop with her dynamic personality. I had to quit going to Sanaca. The owner treats her employees like dirt. She mocks them to her customers while laughing and then speaks harshly to them in Vietnamese. Kim and her staff are great. They offer you water and are very attentive to your needs. I highly recommend doing your nails with Kim but the other ladies that work there do not do a very good job.
