He was clear with pricing, which was incredibly fair, and knew immediately upon arrival what was wrong with our dryer. He had two repair options; he could replace only the parts that were causing the issue, or replace the entire pulley/wheel system with a kit (forgive me if that's not the correct verbiage. Robert said it correctly but alas, I'm no expert and can't remember his exact words lol). We opted to replace with the kit. He had the kit available with OEM parts on his truck and had the dryer components removed, replaced and reassembled within an hour. He was communicative every step of the way. Not only was all of that already fantastic and impressive, but he also removed all lint and cleaned the pieces before reassembling. He also gave advice on load sizes for longevity of both machines. Online information said it was probably a fan that moves airflow from the freezer to the fridge. Maybe a motor or a control board. The service tech came to my house to look at the fridge. This took about 10 minutes. I had already pulled the fridge out and had it ready to be checked. The tech just pushed some buttons on the fridge controls and read out a code within minutes. Nothing removed or taken apart. Based on the code, the cost for repair would be $824! Not to mention that the warranty would only be a few months. I could have done the same thing with the buttons and gave him the code to avoid a $95 service call. He could have then told me that he would charge me over $800 for the repair. Not too happy to be charged over $500 an hour for diagnostic work. People think about this before you commit to a $95 service call fee! I bought a new side by side refrigerator/freezer for $1100 (with 10% off coupon) from Home Depot.

My husband said he'd think about it and paid the service call. Called the company he intended to call, $65 for service call.
