I'm not going to lie this whole process was horrible, luckily the bad parts of my experience had NOTHING to do with this actual contractor. My oven glass had broke and the specific part from GE appliances took over 2 months to even get delivered to JIM appliance repair. Word of advice, GE appliances sucks!!! Anywhos those whole 2 months was hard, no oven to cook was annoying, I'm sure my questions and my emails back and forth to the manager Yuri was exhausting but he always made sure to answer promptly to my questions and to always keep me in the loop. Just the comfort of his quick messages giving me updates etc made the waiting ok bc i totally understand some things you just don't have control over (it still sucked). Anyways when they finally got the part from GE, Ken came by and did an amazing job!!! He worked real efficient and even though he was a little late (bc he did have a lot of earlier jobs before me i could tell he was tired) he was still very professional and polite. Appreciate it all! After several months, I have decided to submit this review. I have a Maytag front load washing machine that would work intermittently. I suspected it had something to do with door mechanism because once I did get it to start, it would complete the cycle...perfectly. The "technician" who came out to service my machine was a complete joke. Within five minutes of being in my home, he started to fill out the invoice he was going to give me. I thought he was going to start the paperwork, then look at my machine. No, he turned on my machine for literally less than a minute and said, he could tell by the sound, my machine needed to be replaced. Then, he handed me a bill for $75.00. To be honest, I had very bad vibes from him and I wanted him out of my house. I am a senior and a woman, and I pay attention to my gut feelings. Shortly after this, I had a friend come over and look at my machine. I told him to look at the door mechanism. He did as I asked and my machine, which according to Jim Appliance I needed to REPLACE, now works as it should 100% of the time. This technician was in my home for about ten minutes, and I paid him $75 for nothing. I was anxious to get him out and for that I consider it money well-spent. If you are looking for someone dishonest and lazy, call these people. They will be happy to oblige. read more

Several years ago I had an issue with fridge ice maker, looked up several repair shops, all quoted around same price to come out to assess issue and that cost would be applied to repairs. BUT Jim Appliance stood out!! Yuri, very nice guy, asked if I had changed fridge water filter which I hadn't, so Jim advised to change it and if issue didn't resolve to call him. HOW HONEST!! I changed water filter and sure enough it resolved issue. Who does that? I saved Jim Appliance on speed dial on my cell!!. OK, so last week my several years old CRAP MADE in CHINA Bravos washer got stuck in Sensing mode on Normal Wash and called Jim Appliance. Without charging a service fee, he sent Andei who took time to assess the issue. Keep in mind all these name brand name appliances are ALL made in Chinese with cheap plastic parts and cheap electronics. Andei assessed washer issue was the mother board and asked if I wanted to order the $400 part. With inflation, I said YES and paid a $150 deposit, it came 3 days later, Jim called and Andei came back. This repair man is very nice and does good work. Unfortunately, replacing the mother board didn't resolve the issue. He took the time per my request, to assess other possible issues. He then replaced a couple other smaller parts he thought could resolve the issue. Unfortunately, it did not. The washer other cycles like rinse/spin, drain/spin, and clean washer works...BUT the other cycles that require the machine to SHIFT into wash, rinse and spin to complete the wash DO NOT WORK. Andei tried everything. He was here for 2 hrs. I called Yuri and he said he would refund the $150 deposit, never charged a service fee, Andrei took out all the parts he replace and put back all original parts and advised to just buy a new washer. He recommended SPEED QUEEN--made in America. I looked it up and it has a 25 yr warranty, built to last. I found a good YouTube by Guaranteed Appliance. She explains the CRAP appliance brands sold at big box stores that only last 2-5 years if you're lucky. CONCLUSION...Jim Appliance ROCKs in overall customer service & HONESTY!!! read more

I recently had an issue with my 6 year old Maytag washer. I had called another appliance repair guy earlier in the week. Nice guy but did not listen to what I believed the issue was. He went through the motions, he also did some other work and charges me accordingly. Well, he did not fix the damn washer. So again I begin to look for someone else to do the job. I don't believe in calling someone back to do a job that should've been done correctly the first time. I find that to be lazy and dishonest. He clearly didn't know what he was doing. Then I find J.I.M. appliance repair. I contact them via the Yelp app. They get back to me pretty quickly. I describe the issue. He asks me for the model of the washer and sets an appointment for the next day between 3-6pm. It's the next day, he calls me to let me know he'll be here within 30 minutes. He arrives on time. HE BRING THE MANUAL FOR THE WASHER, unlike the guy before. He runs a diagnostic lets me know the issue and HAS THE PART. He's in and out within 20 minutes. Very professional, explained what he was going to do. He also gave me a warranty on the part so in case the there's an issue he advised me to call him back to replace the part. I was able to get a Saturday appt to have my refrigerator looked at (it stopped cooling). The technician arrived on time and checked what he could, but told me he couldn't really diagnose the problem correctly since we had unplugged the refrigerator when it stopped working. He suggested I turn on the refrigerator and let it run for 24 hours, then listen for/record any strange noises it makes, to help him diagnose the issue on the next visit. He estimated repair costs for the two most likely issues (to educate us) should we choose to proceed with the repair at a later date. Not only didn't he charge me for the service call but he fixed the freezer door which hadn't been closing properly. I highly recommend these guys! They are honest and service oriented, and if we do decide to fix the appliance they will absolutely be the guys doing the job! read more

Owner was very professional and scheduled next available appointment. The technician is not so much in comparison. I had dryer heating issue. Technician arrived and tested it and found that the dryer is working just fine and thought I was just a stupid idiot who didn't turn on the gas supply when I emphasized numerous time I did turn on the gas when I tested it. Collected $45 and even asked for water for doing nothing. At the time when I tested the dryer, I had all the vent hook up but decide to replace the worn out vent so when technician arrive, the dryer was not hook up to the wall vent. After technician left, I installed everything back which I believe should be technician's job. After installing the new vent hose myself, then I find out my dryer doesn't heat up again and turns out a flap on the outside of house was stuck. A professional technician would have help me install everything and test it again and help troubleshoot the issue instead of thinking the client is a stupid idiot who didn't turn on the as even though client said he did. read more

Do not use this company if your washer is on the second story and sitting in a drain pan. The service Tech refused to service my washer because it needed to be brought forward from the wall and since it is in a drain pan because it is on the second floor he could not do it. Every home in my track that is 2 stories have the laundry on the second floor so this company is not to be contacted for work here or in almost all new homes with a second floor. I wish they would have asked me when I called where my washer was located and if it was in a drain pan. I could have contacted someone else and not wasted my morning waiting around for them only to be told that they were not willing to preform the work. So now I have to start all over. Called JIM Appliance Repair in Temecula, but it seems they may have sent a repairman from the Corona office. Either way, we were totally impressed with the service. The phone was promptly answered, and I had an appointment that same day. In fact, they called and asked to come over early - perfect. Andrei arrived quickly and went to work determining quickly that the ice maker in the Samsung was broken. He had a new exact replacement in his truck!! New in the box and he indicated that it was out of stock and this unit was the last one. What luck. In just a few minutes he installed the new ice maker and was done, except to wait for it to cycle and make sure it was functional. At my request, Andrei spent a few minutes trying to adjust one of the Samsung's french doors. JIM Appliances took our credit card and ran it electronically. Andrei is a very pleasant young man, knowledgeable and got the job done efficiently and for a reasonable price. We are totally happy with Andrei and JIM Appliance Repair. I had a broken dial on my dryer. I sent him the model number of my dryer and he sent me a link to purchase the dial. If I still needed help I could setup an appt but the dial was all I needed. I so appreciated the time he took because I kept trying to send pictures of the part and model number. And he kept trying to help. Finally we got it figured out. I so appreciate a business who tries to help that way. He could have charged me $60 to come over or some other amount even though he knew it was an easy fix. It is good to find an honest business. I told my husband the price so he bought the part for $13 and it took 7 mins to fix. It's fine now. Rip off!! My same age ice maker door that releases the ice stopped working, he wouldn't even touch it. He said it's too difficult to fix. My same age stove ignitor on 1 burner needs replaced and again I was told to buy a new stove. I don't think people buy all new appliances every 3 yrs. Please don't use JIM appliance repair. I was enthusiastic to have a repair person available on short notice to fix our not working refrigerator. He was punctual though "ripe". He examined and then attempted to install more refrigerant and then stated the coils or something like that were damaged and that $2000 more and it could be fixed. A new fridge, built in, would be about $8000 so fixing was the path we chose. Their tech with that experience capable of doing the job he descirbed was not available for over a week, maybe ten days. We reached out to another tech appliance repair company and their tech was prompt (on very short notice), smelled fresh and knew almost instantly that the problem was elsewhere in the appliance.
