If I had to fake being a massage therapist, I might have been able to do a better job. When she asked if the pressure was okay, I asked for deeper. She acknowledged me, but no adjustments were ever made. And I really can't stand any type of massage that concludes with wake up slaps and/or a variation of karate chops. I really can't. At some point in the massage, the door was left open. I don't know if it's part of a sketchy policy, but someone else mentioned it in their review too. Soul Spa was a one and done for me. It is obvious she is experienced and the reviews through the years past on her are excellent. So I decided to try it. My first time. If you do decide to try this place, give yourself extra time as it is not the easiest to find. GPS will get you there but I kept going down the wrong street. Best just remember the main cross street is Orangethorpe Ave. and Highland (just west of Lakeview). I went early on a weekday morning when it was not as crowded. Room was nice and soft music was played. Room was also heated. Sasha was fantastic! She first asked if I have any pain which I did on my back. After working on the yard and car for days, I could barely get up off the ground when squatting. Sasha knocked out the pain and soothe the muscles. She used aromatherapy oil and knew the areas to massage to get rid of my knots in the shoulder. She worked out the aches in the thigh and calf muscles along with both feet. She hit the glutes just right to make that area well. Not sure if it was hot stones or hot pads on top of a towel on my back but that was heavenly. She used hot towels to wipe the oil and left the towel on both my feet. By the time the massage was done, I was relaxed with the pains and aches gone. I always take a shower before going to a massage place but they have a small shower there in case you need one. I checked a few places in Placentia and this place is also the best price in the area. One hour is $60 cash. Credit card you add I think $3 extra. For this you get a great massage and hot stones. Two other places in Placentia charge extra for hot stones while a third did not even offer hot stones.
