The worst experience ever! Came in to get my roots done as a blond and left as a dark brunette! After reading so many good reviews I thought Cha would be a great choice... I told him several times I do not like dark roots and rather be on the lighter side...still came out extremely dark! Reached out to him saying how upsetting it is, was promised that he would get back to me... a week later still waiting for that call back that obviously is not going to happen! I have been searching for a stylist who understands Asian hair for over 15 years. Bingo! Cha cut and styled my hair last night and since (thanks to COVID ) I couldn't go anywhere to show it off, I headed home, ran 5 miles and went to sleep. I went to Cha because he is supposed to be the expert at short hair. He did exactly what I wanted the first time, and I was pleased so went back. I let his cut it his way the 2nd time, BIG mistake. It has been one of the worst haircuts I've ever had. It looks bad, is unmanageable, and will be a very long time before it will grow out enough to get a decent cut . I did return for a bangs trim and told him I was not loving it. He wanted me to be happy so quickly re-cut it. I appreciated that, but my hair was so uneven it really didn't help, and now is so short it will be a year before I can do something g different. $100 is a lot to pay to have your hair butchered read more

Review for Lexi: Lexi has been doing my hair now for at least three years and she's AMAZING! I used to never get my hair cut because I would spend money and then end up not liking my cut or color. I'm bad at making appointments. Enter Lexi. I'm sure she did my hair because I walked into the salon without an appointment and she was available. She fixed a way over priced color job that was botched at another salon and gave me the haircut I asked for. Since then I've been going to her for everything from a trim (boyfriend too) to an extreme cut and color total makeover. I was visiting California and had some time to kill before a party and was lucky enough to get in with Lexie! She did a Balayage, hair trim and styled it into beach waves. My hair had some copper tone to it so she wasn't sure how light she'd be able to get it for the first treatment but it turned out amazing! I loved it so much and got so many compliments. First off, Lexi is amazing! I came in upset with a really botched long bob from a different stylist, and expected to leave with something manageable and not horrible. I was OK with going shorter if thats what needed to be done to fix the disaster that I came in with. What I got from Lexi was something so much more......something super cute that I absolutely love! I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone else. Her cuts are incredibly precise and blend seamlessly. I included a before and after photo so people could see how well she blended my hair to account for the bad layers that were put in prior. This place was awesome! I was visiting the area over the summer for a friends wedding and due to my work schedule I was going to get into town only an hour before the wedding. I had an appointment at another hair salon and the day before they called and cancelled my appointment, they wouldn't give me any more explanation other than they no longer had anyone who could help me. I called here and they fit me in for a wash and blow dry after hearing my situation! When I got there, there was only two girls left in the salon.... they were closing early for an event for one of their coworkers. I had a very expensive process done at this salon. The process did not take to my hair. I called the hairstylist no less than 7 times. She never called back. Only when I threatened to come down to the salon to stand by her station did she return my call. She agreed to redo the process. When I arrived to have my hair retreated, she arrived in a sports bra and yoga pants. Hardly professional. She sat me in her chair and asked me "what do I want". I explained (again) that I wanted my hair redone. She told me that she would redo my hair but that the process wasn't going to work. I sat there thinking "why didn't you tell me that the first time before I dropped $300?". Because of her response, I asked for my money to be refunded. Throughout the refund process, I got to hear her complain to me about how I WAS IN THE WRONG. Seriously? Poor service. Then, she blamed me for wasting 3 hours of her time. I'm not sure where 3 hours came from. She only spent an hour and a half doing my hair. Later, I asked for the owner to call me. It's been 2 weeks. He's never called me back. I called the highest ranking salon in Newport to speak with 3 specialists who work with this process. Each of them has performed the process on my before and it's worked perfectly each time. I asked if what this stylist was telling me was true. They laughed and said no. Instead, they said, she did not do the process correctly. Poor service, poor management, poor ownership. Aside from the fact that time passed so quickly because they were both so fun to speak with, my hair came out FABULOUS! I'm a very tough cookie to please when it comes to my hair.
