My name is Jody , I went into salon blue and had Tara look at my hair . I had a month and a half ago gone to the Art of Hair and had their owner do my hair he left my hair yellow . I wanted blonde highlights . $500 later I show up at Salon Blue and I tell her all I need you to do is take the highlights that are yellow and lift them to a nice white icy blonde and then please take this color that I have underneath which was a nice caramelie color and throw some lowlights in there . She put the lowlights underneath the top layer of my hair so in the front of my bangs there is yellow orange green and some blonde in my bangs and then she Roots smudged my bangs which you never ever root smudge a bang . Then on the sides she gave me a blonde money piece down the side of my face and all along the side of my head is just pure kind of a blonde ish but not the icy blonde that I was looking for and then in the back I have blonde and lowlights on the back of my head and on the back of my head only . So nothing matches at all it is all completely multiple different colors the lowlights are only on the back of the crown of my head and she got bleach blobs that fell out of the foils and now I have round quarter size dots on the back of the crown of my head . She was extremely nervous when she was blow drying my hair and when I saw the front in the lighting I was like oh this is okay this is better but after I slept on it and woke up and was curling the back of my hair I noticed all the differences in my hair and that I had no lowlights it was crazy . So I texted her today and asked her to do a correction she said she would only correct the bleach spots and that I would have to pay to come in and fix the rest of it . So I have on the side of my hair where I pull my hair back it's an inch away from my skull where she pulled the foils so it literally looks like my hair has grown for 3 months . Who does that and who doesn't fix their work . On their website that I pulled up it says highlights and or lowlights for $95 she tried to charge me $200 I told her I will give you $150 because she told me those are old prices I said listen I'm going off what is on your website on your vagaro website . So now I'm $650 in and my hair is basically brittle breaking off and looks like crap . I am so frustrated with the integrity of these hairstylist these days I am just blown away I have never had so much issue in my life and I have been bleaching and dying my hair since I was 15 years old read more

I went to see Kendyn for a Brazilian blowout and it turned out AMAZING ( even after a few showers later). The process can take a few hours but she made it go by quickly as she is super personable. I have super thick, wavy hair and I really appreciate the time and energy she had into making my hair look amazing. After 2 hairdresser friends of mine bailed on doing hair for my wedding, I made appointments for my mom and me at Salon Bleu for the day of the event. I called about a week ahead and they set us up with simultaneous appointments. When we showed up for our appointments, Stefanie did my mom's hair and makeup and I was led to my chair by my stylist (I am so bummed I can't remember her name!) After offering us water, they worked their magic. I explained that it was my wedding day and my stylist, who was gracious, sweet and very attentive, created EXACTLY what I wanted despite my vague yammerings about updo's and curls. I am lackadaisical about my own hair and pretty much the only styling I ever do is a ponytail. My Asian hair is stiff-straight and hold curls for about 2 minutes before springing back to flat. She created a beautiful half-updo with pinned curls and it looked amazing! Everyone at my wedding kept commenting on how beautiful it looked, and it all took less than an hour. My 'do was secure and stayed awesome well into the late evening. And miracles do happen: I still had curl in my hair even when I woke up the next morning. My mom's hair looked great as well, and Stefanie used all MAC cosmetics on her, which lasted all day and into the late evening without touch-ups. The look was soft and natural, and I was impressed with how quickly she worked. Overall, they get 5 stars for professionalism, speed and friendliness, but I have to take off 1 star for their receptionist. The girl to whom I spoke when making the appointment was vague when I asked about the stylists who would be working on us. I was hoping to have names or portfolios I could browse, some information about what kind of styling I could expect, but she was of no help. There are about 10 stylists who work at Salon Bleu and only the owners and another stylist have profiles on their website. Perhaps that's what I get for waiting until the last minute. The price for 2 updos and make-up came out to $140, which was WAY less than the $450+ wedding hairstylists quoted me. Of course, they travel to you, but I am glad I saved the 300 bucks and went to Salon Bleu instead. read more

Save your money and go elsewhere! Went in for highlights since my regular girl was out of town. Holly was sweet and did my highlights. I was quoted an hour and 45 min and didn't get done for 3 hours. Everything seemed fine until after I washed my hair and realized there were major issues. To name a few, there were bleach stripes, and it hadn't been colored all the way to the root like you expect with highlights. I called the salon and explained what had happened, and sent the stylist and owner pics of my hair. I was given Holly's cell and she immediately offered to make it right by offering a refund as soon as she was back in the salon. I heard from Holly and was told that the salon owner (Jessie) would not allow her to refund me after all, then she stopped responding to the text conversation. I called and spoke to the owner, and she was very rude. Jessie told me feel free to leave a review if I wanted to get the backlash like she did to the other negative reviewers here. I honestly never have experienced an adult or business owner to act like this. and I felt this should be shared (with proof) so others don't have the same experience that I had at Salon Bleu. *My conversation with Holly was all communicated in writing via texts, that I have provided screen shots of here. read more

I highly recommend Amber Ringstad. I had a haircut with Amber several weeks ago, and my mane still looks great! She is always taking classes and improving her techniques. I brought in several pictures how I wanted my hair to look - not only was she a great listener, she was realistic and we settled with a style that would compliment my face the most. As for the salon - very chic. Love the decor and atmosphere. The online appointment system is very convenient especially for a working mom like myself.
