I had a pretty bad experience with Dr. Brandon at Facial Aesthetic Concepts. I saw him for tear trough filler and could tell right away that it hadn't been placed correctly, but because it was my first time having filler in that area, I thought maybe it would look better after it settled. Unfortunately, I was wrong. The filler was injected too far outside of the tear trough, toward my nose, which created a ridge that accentuated the tear trough, making it look even more sunken and shadowed than before, and made my entire face look very strange. I lived with it for a few weeks and when it was clear that it wasn't going to improve with time, I went back to see if it could be adjusted, redone, or removed. I never would have guessed how badly I would be treated during that visit. When Dr. Brandon entered the room, he barely looked at me and immediately started insinuating that the outcome was somehow my fault. First it was because my blinking mechanism had caused it to move down, then it was because of my anatomy, then at some point it became that it was in the right spot but that my face was prone to edema. It was so obvious that it just hadn't been placed correctly but he refused to accept any responsibility. As the visit went on, he became increasingly condescending and when I showed him some before and after photos of women with similar tear trough areas to compare to my results, he barely glanced at them and then looked at me with an "I'm sorry to have to be the one to break it to you" expression and said that the women in the photos were younger and that when you're older like me, you can't expect those results. It was just another excuse; half the women in the photos were older than me, and if he actually believed that I couldn't get good results at my age, he might have mentioned that before the procedure. I eventually had the area redone by another doctor after the original filler dissipated and as expected, there was no strange ridge, no edema, I just looked more rested. Dr. Brandon clearly has a lot to learn, not only about performing procedures correctly but also about how to treat people that are trusting him with their appearance. Trying to make a patient feel bad about themselves rather than admit you didn't do a good job is just unbelievably inappropriate. Even though I was out hundreds of dollars to look worse than before, I'm so grateful that I didn't have him perform a more invasive procedure. I can't even imagine how horrifying it would be to have a poor surgical outcome and to hear that it was somehow my fault or that's just how it goes when you're old. read more

Spent over $400 for 40- 42 u of Botox for forehead and frown lines . Explained wanted to freeze forehead only. Advised I best do my lower face to even out appearance. I denied . My forehead and frown lines never changed . Today I went in to have consultation as per recommended to discuss bad results ,and they left a text right before my appt time saying I will be charged. The gal had an attitude when I walked in and said the gal who did Botox said this 40units wasn't enough . That IS NOT TRUE. She recommended I spread it around to keep things symmetrical and I didn't do that . I have no existing forehead wrinkles only when I lift my brows, this was not my first rodeo. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!! $400 thrown away . Don't waste your money . Find a reputable Dr who knows what he's doing. They are lying about what was said. I had a consultation with Dr Brandon for a laser procedure and was really impressed with how he took the time to discuss my issue and what could be done about it. I didn't feel pressured one bit. Had the procedure some months later. Dr Brandon said it would take months to see the positive effects from the treatment and it did; I almost forgot about it. But recently, I noticed the dramatic improvement in my appearance. The results were way better than I imagined. I felt Dr Brandon leveled with me about what to realistically expect and as mentioned, never felt pressured into anything. Even the cost of the procedure was reasonable. The only annoyance was during a follow up visit when they took photos and wanted more than one person to be in the small room. I was scheduled again for a treatment , picked up numbing cream from the San Clemente office prior to my appointment ( which I did ) . On day of appointment, I noticed jar was empty . Called immediately bc I needed extra time for numbing. I had to drive ( Santa Margarita)to pick up more cream. At the time they tell me " you need to reschedule bc we are booked. " I was stunned it was not my fault they didn't give me the cream. I again asked if they could do my procedure that day . They said no . Tell me I felt like I was not a valued client.!!!! They said they'd call me to reschedule. Well I had to call them. When I called they could not get me in until late June bc they were busy. I told them I was disappointed that the experience I had made me feel less important. I was told "well we can have you see another provider. " "I said the provider Knows my skin type and did my previous treatments and I would like her. All I heard was I am sorry.
