I've been going to Holly for over 20 years and I don't trust anyone else with my hair. She's seen me through every phase of life, teenage years, my wild 20s, my stressful 30s, and more major life changes than I can count. She's been one of the few constants through all of it. She does a lot of things I don't even know the names for, and I don't really need to. She always knows what will work and what won't. She has an artistic eye and a way of taking whatever you show up with and turning it into something that actually looks good and feels like your style. Half the time I give her no direction at all and just let her do whatever she wants, because it always turns out great. She is definitely a beauty nerd and an expert in her field. I constantly get compliments on my hair. I've even had strangers come up and touch it, which isn't my favorite thing, but it says something about how noticeable her work is. Her shop feels like a sanctuary. It's calm, peaceful, and reassuring. It feels like a home away from home and is always short lived and missed when you have to step back into the outside world. Not sure if she knows this, but she's a natural healer whether she likes it or not. She's radiant with a deep sense of joy and wholesomeness and a heart of gold. She is making a big difference in this world just by being in it. I'm moving across the country soon and it hurts knowing I won't have her nearby anymore. I went to this salon wanting extensions. When the salon owner Holly gave me a consulation she explained my hair color wasn't all over so she would have to dye it first so then she could get matching extensions. So I went in for a dye and she did a great job so I believe my extensions would turn out wonderful. They use these beads with silicon inside so they don't slide off. This is exactly what they do. Take the extension, put it under some hair so it's hidden and they pull some of your hair over the extension hold and under and pull that through the bead and then they tighten it with pliers. So.. this makes your own hair hold the extension which created the worst pain/headache. Holly also cut two small blonde extensions and only put one bead in place so I was able to slide the extension out the next day. I spent $250 on these awful extensions and I will NEVER go back to this salon. I didn't even need anyone to remove them for me - I was able to slide the beads out pain free. Also, you're not able to comb your hair because the comb gets caught on the holding of the extension. read more
