I was quickly greeted by a friendly bartender who took my order. My order was ready rather quickly. I had the CBGB Pasta, and it was rather delicious. The surprise of the dish was how flavorful the broccoli was. There was ample sauce, the bread was yummy, but I was a little disappointed with the chicken. Overall, it was a great experience, and if I were in this area again, I would return here to eat.

Kids and teenagers were going back and forth with ease, so very convenient for large families or groups if your kids are old enough to venture off on their own. The food itself was mostly bland and overcooked. My burger was very well done, almost rubbery even though I asked for a medium temp. My wife's fried fish tacos were also over cooked. Fries were a bit soggy, but still tasty. There's a variety of options so it can feed a large family with different tastes. Best thing on the menu for me personally was the Tropical Lightning IPA on tap. One of my favorite NC IPAs, and I've never seen it on tap anywhere else. With so many options in the area, we're probably one and done here.

It lent to a cozy vibe, and our terrorizer kids even chilled out a little. Highly recommend the flight of mimosa bombs (they were delightfully strong and equal to about 1 drink in volume!), and the all-you can eat brunch--but only if you want Diane to give you a magical experience with deliciousness coming out your ears. Bacon is crisp, FRIED CHICKEN PUTS CHICK FIL-A to damn shame, eggs were made with lots of yummy butter, the grill lends a nice char and toast to the sourdoughs and avocado toasts, the fruit in the parfaits were very freshly cut and prepared--the entire experience was handmade as we ordered, and any wait was WELL worth it once we got to chowing down! Diane was welcoming, extremely adaptable to our situation, and frankly cared about our experience. She might be a little overworked but; The rest of the town is full of the rudest service crews... Diane made me feel special. Love that woman!!!! Protect her at all costs! Lmaoooo

The space between the bar and the rail is maybe 2 bodies deep so we didn't get to walk around and really enjoy the view. The drinks were good, and the place was hopping. I would definitely pop by for 1 drink again, but I wouldn't make this my destination bar for an evening.

They have a variety of seating options, including some group-friend booths. On my last visit, I sat at the bar and ordered a flight of beer. Tony the bartender was very patient with my request for a flight of local beer with no IPAs or hoppy beers. He picked out: 2: Wrightsville Beach Orange Crush, 3. Waterline Kolsh, 4. Teaches Peaches, 1. Watermelon Dragon Fruit Burst. I was familiar with the first three and loved them. I jokingly refer to Wrightsville Beach Orange Crush as creamsicle beer. It isn't too sweet, but the Orange flavor is quite strong. The Waterline Kolsh is light and very easy to drink. The Teaches Peaches is one of my favorites due to its light fruity flavor. The Watermelon Dragon Fruit Burst was a wildcard in Tony's lineup. This sour was a refreshing way to mix up my beer tasting. My friend also got a flight and didn't like one of the beers he chose. Tony swapped it out for a different beer as soon as I told him and the new one was well-received. My favorite part of this visit was that Tony decided to bring me a sample of the 8. Firestone Walker Mind Haze, because it was a non-hoppy IPA and he thought I might like it. It wasn't my fave, but I really appreciated the opportunity to try something new. I snacked on free popcorn all during my visit. The popcorn machine is in the back. Also in the back are single-stall restrooms. Tavern Law has an A+ in my book because they have great local beer on tap and they are gay friendly.

It is not fine dining and has the sports bar vibe. It is a relatively small place and I recommend going on non peak hours in season. If you are into oysters, they have a great selection of both local and regional on the half shell. If you prefer cooked, chargrilled or steamed is a good choice. While the menu has a great selection of seafood, the chalkboard specials features extremely fresh local catches which change daily. While there are several restaurants in and around the topsail area this is the only one where I have never been disappointed. If you go at peak hours during the vacation season expect to wait but it is worth it. You can't miss with any of the steamed shellfish offerings and if you prefer fried there batter is light and not overpowering. As a sports bar, they have a large selection of tap and bottled beers and a good mixology of liquor options which is only outdone in my opinion by Rick's in Sneads Ferry

I could've asked the price upfront (and usually do) but what the heck... we're on vacation. The server suggested we get a "double" and share it. OK. Sounds good. It came out quick. There was a TON of food for two of us. Shrimp, sausage, potatoes, corn. It didn't have a lot of seasoning also on it, but - no problem - there was a rack with every hot sauce you'd ever need, plus salt, pepper and old bay. We both ate our fill and even left a few potatoes. The bill comes and it's less than $40. It might be the cheapest great meal I've had in a long time. Or maybe it's the "greatest cheap meal" I've had in a long time... I don't know. Bar ambiance, but pleasant enough for families. Mostly high tables. It all seemed very nice.
