Tito's and soda for the playoffs. Tavern is bumpin and Chef Tony is killing it with the mac n cheese and wings the side of my arm!

16 beers on tap and rotating as well as 30 canned/bottled beers. This place is kind of like Cheers, where everyone knows your name. Come by on Sunday for a catered lunch by Chef Tony, the food and wings are always amazing, they raffle off Jerseys after the 1 o'clock and 430 games. They are dog friendly as well which is perfect for me, however I would not recommend bringing your dog on Sunday during football season because this place fills up. Danielle, Ashley, Tony everyone here is great it's my go to when I come downtown. Highly recommend.

Cool vibe, good beer and good music. Lots of tv's too if you're wanting to watch sports.

Great bar to watch Sunday football. Good selection of beers, dog friendly, and they provide food free of charge. Allot of fun.

Great laid back place. Went there on a Wednesday night to watch college hoops and drink local beer. It excelled on both counts.

We started walking around and my wonderful wife suggested Copper Penny. Absolutely! There was a short wait for a table, but we didn't mind. The inside is almost like we remember it. We did notice the menu is a lot smaller. The last time we dined here was around ten years ago. Definitely plenty of options. We went with the onion ring appetizer, Cobb salad, and the BBQ Burger. The atmosphere of Copper Penny is the same. Definitely missed this place. After a short wait our food was brought out. Everything was delicious. This is just an update, but we still love Copper Penny and will continue to return.

Cheese Steak Egg Rolls served w/chipotle ranch......Amazing!!!! Best we have ever had. 2. 109 Chestnut Chicken Sandwich had an amazing balance of ingredients that would make your mouth water. Very good and the fries as well. 3. Hot Roasted Pork Sandwich was very bland and had an excessive amount of spinach. Even the Au Jus couldn't rescue this sandwich. 4. The famous onion rings. Well they must of ran out of seasoning because these were more flour than flavor. Very doughy with no spices. Not worth the $9 * The alcohol mix drinks are pretty good. Definitely taste the flavor of each. Will give you a good kick.

The space, equal parts cozy taproom and shaded beer garden, feels both vibrant and homey. If you're reading this and asking yourself what is the region's native icon, the Venus Flytrap - we have catching up to do. Read history below the review. The mood was easygoing. Two staff members, juggling orders with grace, kept the taps moving and the vibe relaxed. We had the Oatmeal Porter (dark, smooth, layered with chocolate, roasted malt, and caramel) And the Brook's Mulberry Lemonade (a blend of house-made lemonade and beer, fermented with mulberries hand-picked from Brook's garden). Both were super delicious. Flytrap Brewing sits tucked in a quiet Wilmington neighborhood, and it feels like it belongs there. The thoughtful drinks, easy crowd, and unpretentious energy, we will for sure be back! History: The Venus flytrap, scientifically known as Dionaea muscipula, is native to a limited area of the southeastern United States. With twinkly lights and cozy corners to sit in, it's also a great place for a date night. The server was friendly, hospitable, had great recommendations, and was happy to let me try a few beers before I decided what I liked. The free popcorn was a nice touch too. It's a bit off the beaten path, but not a long walk from the River Walk or Main Street at all. I did miss the bigger fly traps in the back, and the ones inside were smaller (and a different kind) than I was expecting. Still, this place has a really cool, chill, and fun vibe. Highly, highly recommend.
