After my first experience here (see my previous…read morereview) I have went ahead and had them do a complete maintainace to both my 2007 and 2008 hatchbacks. My cars run brand new and it's amazing. It's amazing. How much the driving experience can change when I take them here and they get serviced. The prices here are the best in town (and I drive 45 minutes from Nashville to get here). Chris and Sergey are the best and they treat you and your cars like family. I highly recommend taking your cars here and just have them look at them. They'll give you a checklist of recommended repairs/maintenance that they never push for you to do them all at once. Over the course of paying for the much needed maintenance on my cars they now run like brand new. My 2007 Honda Fit has 160K mi but you would never know. Ask them to do the engine restoration service. You won't recognize your car after that. Moving to NJ and I'm honestly really upset I can't bring them with me. Thanks guys it's been a pleasure.

They certainly live up to the name! After having the Lexus dealership tell me I need new brakes as well as Firestone, who charged me $46 to diagnose the car and quoted about $750 for the FRONT ALONE (after quoting half that over the phone), I went to Good Honest Mechanic thinking they could do the actual work for a reasonable price. After reviewing my vehicle, it turned out all my brakes are fine and no work was needed. They explained to me how they are at 5 millimeter and at exactly what number/range they start to recommend addressing them. This all lined up with what I read online as far as best practice for car brakes! Rather than try to take advantage of my ignorance and get $700+ like the other businesses, they told me upfront what the deal was and I appreciate that. Debbie at the front desk was nice to chat with also and provided me with updates on my vehicle. Zack and his team saved me from spending unnecessary money when I could really afford to. I found the team to be personable and honest! After this first impression, I will certainly be back!

J & J gave my Honda Fit a 100K mile service the other day. I went in with some knowledge of what replacing the serpentine belt and spark plugs would cost and I am happy to report that they quoted me a fair price and did a good, fast job. With no mansplaining, condescension, or price gouging. THEN. While on tour, my car started making noises that sounded suspiciously like a busted catalytic converter. A shop in New Orleans took a look and quoted me nearly $3K to replace the front and back of the catalytic converter, plus my O2 sensor, etc. I drove it home to Nashville with the windows down (so as not to poison myself via a busted exhaust system) and took it to J & J. Turns out it was just a busted gasket and that $3,000 repair bill went down to just $600. Including labor. I was in and out in a couple days and back on the road. No more rattling. These guys are honest, friendly, fast, and local. They'll cut you a break when they can. I'll be giving them my business for years to come and you should too.
