On the day of our scheduled trip, there was a devastating forest fire on the road leading to their destination. It was a dangerous situation, and authorities advised everyone to stay away from the area for their own safety. Naturally, I called Sand Land Adventures immediately to inform them about the situation and to request a refund or at least a rescheduling option. But to my dismay, the customer service representative I spoke to was completely indifferent and unsympathetic. They showed no concern for the safety of their customers and only seemed interested in avoiding any responsibility for the situation. The representative claimed that their "no refund" policy strictly applied, even in cases of unforeseen emergencies like a forest fire! Are you kidding me? A forest fire is not something anyone can predict or control, and it's outrageous to think that they would prioritize their profits over the well-being of their customers. When I tried to reason with them, they gave me the runaround, passing me from one person to another, none of whom were willing to help or even listen to my concerns. We had a great time! My wife and I did the 30 minute "sandrail" tour, which was as fun and terrifying as any roller coaster and worth every penny. Arranging the tour was easy enough, even with the office being crowded with customers all clamoring for attention. The driver was a pleasant fellow named Shaun who couldn't have done a better job. He made sure we were all strapped in and comfortable and accommodated everyone's seating preference as much as the vehicle would allow. He was fast and adventurous but not the least bit reckless and clearly knew his way around the dunes. I was less impressed with the rest of the place's offerings, but not to the point of complaint. The bumper boats and go-karts were just a bit overpriced, in my opinion. But they were fun as well and kept my 2 and 7 yr old kids entertained for a bit, and everything was clean and well-maintained. Plenty of parking and easy to find. One warning I'd give is to be very wary about taking a young child on the sandrail tour. They will accept riders far younger than might actually be ready for such a ride. An adventurous 6 or 7 yr old might be fine, but a 3-4 yr old who requires a lot of attention won't be getting the good kind of attention on that sandrail. Goggles are a must and you don't want to be futzing around with keeping them on the kid during the ride. I'm glad we left ours with the grandparents for that part. We'll probably visit the coast again in 2 years, and it's very likely we'll visit Sandland again then. read more

Me and my girlfriend decided to come here for our spring break. I chose it over frontier over Frontier is because it had more activities for us to do while we waited for our dune tour. The front desk was very helpful and friendly. Our wait was short about 45 minutes, during that timeframe we went and toured the place and taking pictures etc. We saw a bunch of people on go karts so we decided to join the excitement for $7 each not a bad deal for 5 minutea but it seemed longer than that. I really wanted to do the bumper boats though. One to the tour itself, we opt for the 15$ giant buggy with 20 people riding along with us. It seemed fairly priced for a mild tour of the dunes to see what it was like. Our driver was Chris and he gave us a fantastic ride even though it was pretty cold at the time and there were some epic moments that I would never forget. Remember to bring a hoodie with you! End result, had a blast a bunch of sand in my mouth and day to remember. If this is your first time to Florence I highly recommend it. This was probably the best thrill ride I've been on in a long time, if not ever. Pay the $65 and take the hour-long thrill ride. You will NOT regret it. These drivers are all professional and maximize the fun you have on the 7,000 acre sand dunes. Our driver, Michael, was exceptional, personable, and knowledgeable. Our buggy actually broke down--the drive axle needed replaced about half way through. This enabled us to get out and just take in the magnitude of the dunes, and to see just how efficient this operation runs. In less than 30 minutes, they had a replacement buggy out to us and we were on our way, while the owner, Chris, stayed behind and fixed the old buggy. Can't give this place enough props. If we are ever back in Florence, this experience will definitely happen again. Exceptional fun for all ages! Pro Tip: wear a windbreaker/jacket with hood, and place your goggles over your hood to keep it in place. read more

We had the most amazing experience today with Sandland Adventures in Florence, Oregon! From start to finish, the sandrail tour was a thrill--but what made it truly unforgettable was our driver, JD. Not only is he an incredible driver (seriously, the way he handled those dunes was impressive!), but he's also one of the friendliest and most knowledgeable people. His mechanical skills are unmatched! JD had so many cool facts about the area, and his great sense of humor kept us laughing the entire ride. He even managed to get genuine smiles and laughter from my 13-year-old daughter and her best friend--no easy feat! Even with a small delay at the beach, this adventure was hands-down the best time our family has had in a long time. Thank you, JD and Sandland Adventures, for a day full of fun, laughter, and memories we'll cherish forever. If you're anywhere near Florence, this is a must-do read more
