Everywhere from schools like PCOM to ACTCM to practitioners in SF, NYC, San Diego, Santa Cruz, and Washington DC. They've been at various skill levels. Never in all that time have I seen one who broke down each service (needles, cupping, etc) into a separate billing code. Usually, it's one flat rate. Then, with herbs on top of the cost of a visit, my first visit was over $600! I've NEVER paid that much to see an acupuncturist. Mind you, it was a package + herbs, but the herbs alone were about $300. And the way things were packaged, it felt like you were pushed into a series of visits costing from $2000+, which, again, I've never experienced before. It felt very sketchy. That said, Wesley and Tian seem solid, and I did notice improvement after. But for someone who's unemployed and broke, this is a luxury. I went to someone else in town who was more reasonably priced. If you're a first-time visitor to their practice, be aware that it's costly, and they push you into packages.

Dr Wesley Zhang is an amazing acupuncturist! He has been…read moreaddressing my sleep, digestion and knee pain concerns. His healing approach is very calming, pleasant, and gentle but very powerful. He has extensive knowledge, is consistent and confident with his skills. I went in to see Wesley due to a pain level of an 8-9 on the outside of my right knee whenever I would kneel on it for the last 4-6 months. On the first day of treatment, after a thorough assessment, Dr Wesley Zhang diagnosed that it was my IT Band. Once he determined that, he knew and identified the exact corresponding spot on my scalp which also had a pain level of a 9 when he pressed on it. By the time I left his office after the very first visit, the pain in my right knee went down to about a 2-3. Amazing! I've had about 3 treatments now for my knee and the pain on my scalp is gone, the knee pain has not returned and is now at a 1-2 when kneeling on it. Having just turned 60 in March 2025, I began working with Rob in conjunction with my ongoing…read moreefforts to get healthy and wean myself off psychiatric meds and other substances, which I've used for most of my life to control social anxiety. I had started this process at the beginning of the year and had very few issues until late February when it suddenly felt like the wheels had come off and I began to experience an immense amount of physical and emotional discomfort. I honestly did not know what to expect with Rob but, after meeting the first time, I found that he was not only extremely knowledgeable in a lot of areas, but that we were also very much in alignment about our approach to health - specifically, the need to heal through natural means. Even so, I was not prepared for the level of success that followed. He assured me that most of the withdrawal symptoms I was experiencing could be reduced or eliminated with some simple cardio activity 15 minutes per day. This was a bit difficult at first but the results were immediate. After a week or so, I actually looked forward to it because I was feeling so good, my energies levels were up, and I was beginning to look much healthier than I had in a long time. Our subsequent sessions focused on other areas - sleeping habits, meditation, eating, even socializing - all of which were extremely helpful in supporting my body and mind as they realigned and adjusted to my new regimes. One of my biggest surprises, since I hadn't even set out to do this, was my weight loss and elimination of joint pain and muscle fatigue, apparently as the result of following his recommendation to go gluten free. I had already lost about 8 lbs since the first of the year (I started the year around 220 lbs) but, upon going gluten free, the extra pounds just rolled off of me. By late May, I was down to 185 and suddenly felt like I had the energy I had at 30 - and NO JOINT PAIN whatsoever. I could do heavy yard work all weekend and feel only mild muscle pain the next day! FYI, I'm now at 175, my "ideal weight" according to the medical charts.
