The explanation was that my insurance had been maxed out, which apparently was true - but they should have seen that in advance and advised me accordingly. At any rate, they were very supportive of my lack of employment and let me work out a plan to pay it off in installments.

I have a really sensitive "bite" and have had to get a number of crowns in my life due to grinding my teeth long ago and cracking them all the way down. The worst part of getting a crown, for someone with that kind of "bite" is making sure the bite is correct. It's been years of dental work and I feel that I owe this review for others t My first visit was in 2005/2006. I had a traumatic fall which caused my front tooth to fall out (whole root) and I broke my other front tooth and both lateral teeth in half. This was a couple of days after Christmas and no one was open when I was calling from the ER, but Dr. Stanley opened up for me and saw me. Both he and Dr. Randy took care of me. After extensive treatments and recovery, I had veneers, bone graft, gum graft and implant done, I could not be more grateful or happy with the results. It's been years and I've moved to Toronto, Miami, Palm Springs, Newport Beach and LA. I've seen dentists here for cleanings and each time, they have been really impressed with the work saying how natural it looks and really beautiful job. Burba gave me back my smile after a traumatic fall and showed me so much compassion throughout my ordeal. He and his staff were so patient. All past dentists have trouble numbing my mouth. Not him.He aced it and kept asking if i was still OK.He was extremely patient with my anxiety. he kept pausing to see if I was still comfortable. I was unsure if I was to call the assisted home to get back. NOT their job but the staff graciously took care of it for me. and I got home safely . He does not need to know I went across the street for a frosty.. but I kept it off my teeth.

I asked the dentist before the xrays started to verify that they took my insurance, and she did as well. A few weeks later I get a call that they don't accept my insurance and that I owe more than $300. The front desk lady refused to accept that they assured me that they accepted my insurance, refused to reduce the price, for example not charging me for the unnecessary xrays, etc. Avoid this place.

Dr Affara is so kind, constantly checking on your wellbeing during your procedure (and I've had MANY by him!) and he does an excellent job! At my first dental cleaning, Adrienne LeClair made me feel horrible about my teeth. That should…read morehave made me run and never return. But I did. I proceeded to have some fillings redone. One of the fillings did not feel right and felt infected. I went back not once, not twice, but three times. On the third visit, they redid the filling. I had zero relief. They referred me to an endodontist. It turned out I had a raging infection, and I needed an emergency root canal. Then, I needed the crown placed. Adrienne used all of her force to place the crown on my tooth. In my head, I thought this can't be normal. Due to the level of force, a large chunk of cement was stuck between my teeth. Adrienne "flossed" it out and told me to keep flossing until it came out. After the horrible experience, I found a new dentist (who, by the way, complimented my teeth on the first visit!). In the meantime, LeClair was difficult when it came to sending my records. The crown tooth was still bothering me. It took over A YEAR of visits for the dental hygienist at the new practice to work out the cement. If she hadn't gotten it out, I would have needed a new root canal. They have to redo one of Adrienne's fillings, and the current dentist said, "You don't need a dental degree to see that this was not filled properly." Looking at some of the other reviews, I am not alone in my sentiments. Go to Martins Dental in Beverly or Northern Star Dental in Danvers. Both are excellent practices.
