This place is hit or miss. Sometimes they are good other times they rush and are very sloppy. All of a sudden they stopped taking credit cards, who doesn't take credit? Also, the girls are very vulgar and carry on very personal conversations, as well as talk on the phone while doing your nails. Horrible.. I paid $60 all to get my nails done over some place else.. I couldn't stop looking at how messed up they were.. Sandy did them so i thought they would be nice.. And the worse part was a roach crawled on the nail station and then it fell on my leg... All Sandt did was spray alcohol from a bottle on it and kept doing my nails.. Never even said sorry abt that or anything.. It was like it was normal for a bug to fall and crawl on her customers.. My 8yr old daughter even said she never wants to go back.. I only came here to get a toe polish change.... Mistake........ I swear I would never come to one of these places where they only speak in another language.... The girl started to take the polish off and then started talking to the owner lady in that language and then the owner looks at me a couple of times... Ok see, Now I know ya'll are talking about me! I get so irked about that. I guess you could say that that is a serious pet peeve for me. Ok so on to my toe polish change- It looked horrible, the polish was running out and she still tried to polish my toes. It looked really bad like a toddler painted my toes. If I wanted a child polish job, I clda went to any one of my friends... Irked! By this time, I just wanted to leave, didnt even wanna stay to dry them... Disgusting! I haven't been to this particular salon in some time as I had been put off by the rudeness of the workers but was in need of a pedicure before an event the same evening. I got there early and was seen right away. First of all, the place was a mess, the floor was filthy, and it smelled horrible. I had to ask the woman helping me to place the tools she was going to use in the sanitizer. (There were exposed tools at all of the stations.) I should have walked out then but was in a bind. As the remaining workers came in I was then subjected to hearing their four-letter riddled conversations with one another and one other customer. Disgraceful. Absolutely disgusting and dirty place. I can't believe I let myself sit through their service. I noticed more and more unsanitary stuff as my pedicure carried on and cannot believe that this place has actually passed an inspection. My nail polish came off less than 24 hours after a manicure. I thought about going back to request that it be done over on the house. However, I didn't want to endure any more of Sandy's racial comments about black people or insults towards her daughter. I will never be going back. read more

Went here for a pedicure, and it was great. Staff was friendly, the place was clean. The color selection could have been a little better, but it wasn't too bad. The girl who did my pedicure was fantastic - very thorough, didn't rush or skimp on anything. I haven't had a pedicure that took this long in ages (which was great, because I love spending as much time as possible in the massage chairs!). I definitely felt like this was well worth the $20 price and will be returning to see if their manicures are as good! read more

It is now 1 freaking 30 still not done they making all this money staying open till 9 10 at night and won't hire the right amount of staff . The place was not clean. My gel polish had waves. The staff were cursing while talking to one another. They were barefoot. The wait was over an hour. But their designs are excellent. Just not sure it's worth the atmosphere. read more

There are several aspects to this review based on different things I have experienced at this salon. One of the only good things about Sandy's Nails is their pedicures. A pedicure here is cheap at $20, and I'd say it is worth it. The girl that did my pedicure was fairly young but surprisingly experienced. She definitely took her time on everything, and I loved the massage chairs. Their color selection is okay, and my pedicure stood up to the test of time --- about two or three weeks with minimal chipping towards the end. However, my pedicurist did get up and leave me a few times during. Another good thing about this salon is their manicures, they're basic and decent. That being said, I do not like how they do acrylic nails at all. First of all, their price menu is very misleading. If you're getting a fill-in, the price reads $12. That seems good, right? Yes, it does, but after your nails are done and you go to pay, the lady rings up the price as 17 $. That means she's combined the price of the fill-ins and a re-polishing. Yes, I did pick a color for her to paint my nails, but it just seems to me kind of stupid that the prices had to be separate because I thought I would only have to pay 12$ and a tip, though 12$ is a low price for a backfill. Actually, I think they're over-charging for acrylics and fills there, based on the quality of the work they're doing (that is indeed lacking). Sometimes the sides of my acrylic nails would be uneven or jagged, and a few times they hit my skin for a few seconds with that rotating file mechanism. That thing just makes me nervous, anyway. Also, every time I've gotten a set there, a few nails have popped off and I had to get them fixed (they offer this service for free, which is nice). One lady is good at full sets there, she is an older woman but I'm not sure of her name. One major drawback attributed to this salon is their waxing services. My mom and I went here together to get waxed; I got my upper lip area done and she got her eyebrows done. I thought it would be fine until about an hour after the services. I had long since been home and I started noticing slight pain, irritation, and swelling (as did my mom). It couldn't have been an allergic reaction as we both frequently get waxed. Maybe the wax was too hot, you never know. We went back to the salon and they said there was nothing they could do. I will never get waxed there again. Also, all day they put the TVs on full blast to the BET channel, which was often playing music videos of rap/hip-hop music. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with the BET channel, but I don't particularly like rap music, and it would have made my salon experience much more enjoyable had that not been playing, or maybe just at a lower volume. Overall, this place is good for a quick mani-pedi, nothing else. Their prices are relatively cheap, and as I've always been told, you get what you pay for. read more
