Stopped by here traveling through on the recommendation of a friend. It is about mile off highway 55 in a safe industrial area. It has alot of seating and has a hometown feeling. Waitress was nice and attentive. Unfortunately we did have to wait 45 minutes for our food but they did have a big party in side room.I got fish plate and husband got frog legs. Both were very good and quantity was plenty. The best thing was all the pie choices they had lined up on table when you walked in. We had the strawberry/rubarb and a peach pie slice. Being from South Louisiana and never being this far north; I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the buffet, the price and the sweet tea LOL...The food was delicious and hot and there was a good variety from fish to chicken to beef and quite a few vegetable choices. The only disappointment was there were no rolls. I even, unknowingly, dropped my bank card when I was headed to the restroom. Someone picked it up and gave it to the cashier. I was so grateful! If I ever head this way again I will definitely make it a point to stop! read more

It boggles my mind how this place doesn't have a 5 star rating! From the friendliness, the warmth and of course the food, literally everything is top notch! If I had one complaint, and it has nothing to do with the restaurant itself, but get the parking lot paved! We had never been to Sandy's before this, and it take some going out of our way because our navigation showed it at a different address and that's where er went after ordering some to go food, but it wasn't there, instead there was an apartment complex! We put the correct address in and it was literally 15 minutes back from the direction that we had just came from! We literally were going to cancel the to go order, but we decided not to do that, and boy am I glad we didn't! I ordered a hamburger with bacon and swiss cheese, it came with pickles (really good) lettuce, onions and tomatoes on the side along with possibly the best french fries that I've ever had! You do get your choice of fries, chips, coleslaw or potato salad, but I would go for the fries! The buger was absolutely humongous because it was a single patty of 1/2 pound of 100% "pure ground beef"! My wife had a single patty cheese burger, also with swiss and fries. We ate our order on the way home and both of us had leftovers for the next day! There was no way to eat all of that hamburger and fries! I would highly recommend Sandy's and I'm sorry for the picture of the half eaten burger, it just looked so good to eat before I took my picture!! read more

If you like a good home cooked meal Sandy's is your place to go. Food is plentiful and very good. Only fault I found is service staff could be more friendly. But the great food will definitely bring me back. If staff was was more friendly I would definitely give Sandy's 5 stars. read more

The new location is much nicer and cleaner than when they were located in the airport. I've eaten here a handful of times and usually it is for the all you can eat fried catfish on Fridays. On other days they have a buffet and on some holidays they do specials. But if you like fish, you need to get to Sandy's on Friday evening and get all you can handle! It is really so good! They advertise homemade pies, but I've seen them coming out of packaging from the deep freeze. However the pie is still really good!! I wouldn't pass up the chocolate pie! Delicious! read more

Stopped at Sandy's on the way to Memphis for lunch. Got the spicy chicken and pie. The food was a "dirty spoon" restaurant. It was okay but not great. The place was quite large and a lot of pies. Seems to have a buffet at times. Overall the food is a little blan and salty but not bad. read more

Slow service, 30 minutes to order and get a salad. Not sure how the catfish would have tasted.

I have eaten at the restaurant several time and have always been very pleased. I have also had them cater our plant meals for 75 - 100 people, the food and service is excellent. They bring food to the plant for our day shifts and for our night shifts. They have served fish on one occasion, pork steaks on another and fried chicken on another. Their pies are over the top delicious. Our employees were pleased each time the meals were catered by Sandy's place. I would highly recommend them. read more

As far as restaurants go in airports, Sandy's is pretty damn good. We took the plane down from St Louis to try her all you can eat catfish on a Friday and we were not disappointed. The fish, slaw, and fried okra were delicious. The pie....coconut pie was amazing and the rhubarb looked even better but we couldn't even attempt to eat it. We were so full. But next time for sure. If you're flying over and need to stop and refuel or eat, stop here for sure. Plus, Sandy is sooo nice and great. She will take great care of you. We will be back for sure. read more

Excellent Sunday lunch buffet- better than reasonably priced. Great selection. All you can eat fried chicken. Friday night buffet is catfish. Was on today's menu as well and the best I've eaten in Southeast Missouri. Restaurant has been open here at the airport for ten years and I can't believe it took me this long to find it. When visiting SE Missouri we always make a point to hit Sandy's on a Friday for their all-you-can-eat fried fish. Get there early afternoon if you want to avoid a waiting in line. Always excellent and have never been disappointed! This is a local haunt folks have been going to for years. This is NOT a fancy place, but is a kinda nostalgic '60's cafe diner. Located at the Cape regional airport it offers a panoramic view of planes coming & going. It has a wide menu, prices are very reasonable especially for what you get. The fish...you can't go wrong. We went again on another day and I had their country fried steak which came with mashed potatoes smothered with white gravy, side of green beans and corn and a biscuit. The steak and potatoes barely fit on one large plate. So this is a two plate dinner. Be ready for taking leftovers home. It was awesome! I've had her hamburgers here before...they are huge and comes with a side. This is a great place with a charming atmosphere to come to when you're hungry! read more

Catfish is great. Fries could be better. Pies are fantastic. Fried okra could be cooked a little longer to me.

Best all you can eat catfish in Southeast Missouri hands down. It's fresh, not veiny and fishy tasting. It has crispy breading. All of the sides are great as well. We've also dined here for the Sunday morning fried chicken buffet and the Mother's Day lunch and Easter breakfast buffets. The food never disappoints. It's always the same expected quality. read more
