AAA sent this towing company. It's been and hour and a half and I have NO IDEA where my vehicle is because it did NOT get towed to my mechanic!!!!! Now they can't locate the driver because his pone "isn't working". I recommend pushing your car before calling this company or letting them tow your vehicle. read more

Horrible customer service we asked them to move my truck the board to keep the wheels from moving was frozen guy said just leave the truck where it is. If I wanted to leave the truck where it was I wouldn't have asked them to move it. Will never use them again nor will I ever recommend to anyone. read more

AAA sent someone out to help me took 3 hours get there & the guy told me my tire was fine it was a run flat tire did nothing to help me. As a 50 year old female I would highly not recommend this company ended up with bigger problems since the guy did not help me left me on side of road at night in fog & rain. read more

Absolutely horrible service! We needed a tow through AAA, and got this company. We asked for a flatbed, they sent a tow truck. And when the car owner asked if it would work, instead of remaining calm, and saying it was ok, the tow truck driver got very defensive, and acted like it was a personal attack on him. He was very nasty, and used very obscene language. And after going back and forth a few times, he told the car owner to "get the f*** out of here." I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody, for anything. I would give 0 stars if it was possible. AAA should drop them. read more

Absolute worst experience ever. I would NOT recommend this local Woonsocket, RI family owned business to anyone. I have reported them to Better Business Bureau, channel 10 and channel 12 costumer complaint. My first time customer dealing with Sandy's Towing & Repairing Inc. I contacted AAA to have my car towed to my local mechanic. Sandy's towing arrives the driver looked at the car and he convinced me it was a easy fix, their company was close by & could repair the problem. I contacted 2 other mechanics for quotes. They were the most expensive, but they agreed to match the lowest quote. I left my car to get repaired and I picked it up a few days later. I contacted them a few days later with the same problem. It was coordinated to return the car to have them investigate the problem. I picked up the car, they stated that they installed another new part. It sounded Great! Once again the part is still not functioning properly. I contacted them with the same concern. Their comments were "its not the fuel pump", we replaced it twice, it must be electrical, to bring it back. At this point, my gut tells me no way, I'm going to get a second opinion from someone that specializes in BMW's. I went to Inskip BMW services in Warwick, RI. They performed an inspection & diagnosed my vehicle. The results indicated "replace fuel pump with sending unit, floating arm is binding". I contacted Sandy's with the results. Their comments were, "Inskip doesn't know what they're talking about" and will not warrant the parts because another party looked at it". So now they walk away with $500 in their pocket, and I walk away with an unfixed vehicle and another out of pocket expense of $170.00 for the diagnosis. I want the media and the public to know that this business has no values, shows no accountability, is not reliable, should not be operating a repair car business, and certainly doesn't care about the costumer! read more

Oh hey look another BAD Sandys review. I don't usually write bad reviews but after two month of thinking about this I decided hey why not. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY! Blew a tire on the HIGHWAY called AAA three hours later sandys shows up and then the guy tells me "oh yeah one of my coworkers is just sitting at the office bc he didn't want to your call...." like excuse me?!?!? Well fast forward to me purchasing new tires and finding out the guy lost the key to my locking Lug nuts called to just say if maybe he pocketed BY ACCIDENT the lady started a fight and then was hung up on multiple times. Also not related to me experience but who would want to use a company who's drivers can't seem to keep their trucks on the road without taking out bus stops or telephone pole I Know I don't but that's just me read more

They are really close to my house and the lady that always answers the phone is helpful and nice. I go to them because they are close and their prices are reasonable. I plan to take my car soon due to a transmission issue or at least what I think is a transmission issue and an oil sensor so my car can pass inspection. read more

do not ever bring your vehicle to these people!!! i had an alternator replaced there, with a warranty and all, when it started to act up, check charging light kept coming on and everything, i bring it right to them to check it out cause it's still under warranty, and of course they rig it to work again, showing me some bs scanner tool that showed twice it was faulty, they checked it a third time and of course it passes, and they first of all didn't even want to give me my car back when i went to have it checked out, due to a 30 dollar balance that i wasn't even aware of, made me walk home to get the damn 30 dollars before they would give me my car, and ever since i brought my car to them, my radio doesn't work right,, the wires are all crossed, and low and behold what do i find out today? the damn alternator that they should have replaced months ago while under freaking warranty is faulty and now i have to come out of pocket again to replace the alternator. i will never ever bring my car to these wackos again, not to mention i find out they have overcharged me for the damn ac comressor that they fixed and messed up my radio when they did that crap job. if you want good service and for your car to be really fixed, dont bring it to them. ever. they dont really care if your car gets fixed or not, they are really just in it for the money, they don't really care about the customers at all. stay far far far away from them. read more

requested roadside assistance from AAA and thy sent these guys. I indicated that my car was stuck. The car is not moving and it is parked at a Cumberland Farms. It is stuck. A gas truck was blocking the car but moved on when the tow truck arrived. Apparently the Tow Truck company did not think the car was stuck enough and for them "stuck" fit the description of stuck in a tree or wall. A simple mistake on our part. The tow truck driver decided to leave after taking some pictures and left without explanation. Apparently his tow truck could not handle a small 2001 vw Jetta. I do not recommend this company because they cannot handle a broken down parked car, they will waste your day. AAA ordered them a second time for us and they took 2 hrs to get to us. read more

This place doesn't even deserve a star. I brought my truck in to get serviced. I left the shop with 2 lugnuts instead of 6 on my tires and both lugnuts hand tightened. My transmission fluid hose had been pierced by a drunk mechanic (which he openly admitted while he was screaming at me to get the fuck of the property) I ofcourse refused and asked for the excess money they charged to my card which never matched the invoice they gave me for the work they did. Took me 10 mins to convince the guy to call the owner and authorize the refund. Angry drunk mechanic comes back and starts to threaten me. Police get involved. The manager starts fabricating a story to the police. I shut it down by providing evidence through a voice recording. Eventually the owner shows up. Issues my refund. No apology, nothing. It took a lot of attention and drama for these guys to do the right thing. After the whole incident i end up hearing this shop is full of scammers and absolute shit mechanics. This place is apparently known for shaddy work and absolute terrible customer service. I wouldn't recommend this shop to anyone who values their vehicles health. Believe those other bad reviews because I sure as hell didn't and here we are today. Lesson learned. read more

i called aaa for a tow and scammys towing responded. they were towing my car from woonsocket to worcester, ma while on the highway the wheel dollies on the back of my car broke and it dented my car. this happened on november 11th, 2016 - when i contacted scammys to let them know my insurance company would be contacting them tammy answered she actually had the balls to tell me that they were not going to accept liability because it would be cheaper for them if i got my car fixed at there facility without involving the insurance companies which is illegal unless both parties agree and i told them i don't then she goes on to tell me that my deductible would be more than that of the repair thinking that she could fool me because she knows i am young (i'm 21) little does she know that i am well aware that my deductible does not apply if it was not my fault. i told my insurance agent to talk to tammy so they called and she put my insurance company on hold and never came back so they hung up and called back and the guy said "tammy is not here right now" when i heard that i called myself and asked for tammy and she was there! this was less than 5 minutes later that i called. it is now 12/25/2016 and my car is still not fixed. please do not use scammy towing - they define bad business! if you need to call aaa for a tow and they say that they are sending scammies to help you i want you to know that you have the right to refuse service from scammies and aaa has to send another company or there own fleet. trust me when i tell you..... you do not want to deal with this sorry excuse of a towing company they suck. read more

They gave me a time of 8:30 and they were early, but I wasn't with my vehicle- so he waited. He had my car all ready to go for when I got to the car. I handed him the key and he brought it to where it needed to go. He was so polite and helpful. read more

This shop is a little towing/repair shop in Woonsocket, RI. I had never used their services before and was advised, by a friend, to try them out. Well, I did. They were informative, polite and did a wonderful job on my vehicle. The mechanic called me before doing any repairs and advised me what needed to be done. Extremely professional and reasonably priced. I will quote the Owner, "I don't make the claim that we're the best in the City but we try our best to keep our customers happy and do the best job possible ." I had such an amazing experience with Sandy's Towing and Repairing. My car died in the parking lot of my workplace and I called AAA. The technician who arrived (Tim from Sandy's Towing) really went out of his way to check out my car when it wouldn't jump start. We ended up deciding to tow the car back to Sandy's. They fixed it up for a very reasonable price and even replaced a couple little things (like the gas cap) for free! When I came to pick the car up the people at the front desk were very friendly and welcoming. I can't recommend them enough. I will definitely be back next time my car needs some work done. read more
