Very satisfied with the service received. My car, that is 17 years old but runs well, needed a new thermostat. They took care of it, and it actually cost less than the initial quote. I also noticed they were very neat, some shops seem to get grease everywhere when they do a job. Highly recommend. read more

Walked in last Tuesday afternoon, after realizing: 1. My State Inspection expired at the end of June, and 2. I was about 5,000.00 miles OVER due for an oil change... yikes! Jay (owner) took my car in right away, and I was out of there in less than 45 minutes. They were kinda busy, maybe 4 other cars in the shop. Kudos for Tech Pro for fixing my tail light also, as my car wouldn't have passed inspection with it out. Oil change & filter, Inspection, and tail light... $60.00. I'll be back. Probably the best place in Milford for auto repair, but a few of their policies make zero sense. For example, to save a few dollars, I typically bring my own oil and filter since my car takes synthetic and needs a lot of oil. I've also been using the same Pennzoil Platinum since I bought the car new - that stuff matters and I don't want the cheap crap in my car. This place has well above average prices, 37 dollars for an oil change is about ten dollars over the norm. My mom works down the street, and is very trusting, and one time they simply left and forgot to tell my mom when she got off work that the keys were still inside the shop, and she was freaking out. Nobody knew how to reach them, until we pulled strings to get in touch with the landlord. What they are great about though, it inspection. If the check engine light is on, they will reset it so it will turn off for free, and then if it is still off a few days later, they will give you the inspection sticker. read more

The guy with short brown hair at the front desk was very disrespectful he told me he and his associate was on break then when the break was off since I waited hes said that the pump I got was wrong which I was fine. I came back after getting a quote from hyundai which was expensive i thought I would order the part through the tech place instead he then called hyundai and it's the same price that the dealership I was about to hand him the money for the deposit and he bites my head saying I had an attitude problem and I should take my business else where I said nothing when I was trying to give him money if anything I was annoyed at the treatment I was receiving I kept noticing he was only nice to me if there was another customer in the store. There is something wrong with that guy. His co worker was the only treating customers as what they are customers. read more

We had taken our car to a major dealership hoping our Honda which lost a starter would be fixed. We were quoted 760$ for a non Honda part replacement which we thought was ridiculous. I called Techpro Autoparts, was given a quote within 5 minutes and it was fixed within an hour at almost 200$ less than the dealer! Prompt service, friendly staff out to help!!! Very good for simple jobs such as oil changes and tire rotations. Extremely disappointed when TechPro replaced the timing belt on my Honda Van incorrectely and the belt stretched and failed within 10 thousand miles. Towing and rework cost around $1,000. I contacted Greg the owner asking for some level of compensation. He said to send receipts and then ducked any additional attempts to contact him. Stick to the easy stuff if you use them. read more

Went for an oil change and inspection. Rejected my car saying it needed a new tire rod which they quoted me $1,600 to fix. They also mentioned power steering but said I didn't fail on that. Got tire rod fixed down the road for $310. Came back for inspection and they still wouldn't pass me because my "steering was tight". Had to go back down the street to pay the $30 again to pass. They obviously are creating work for more money. read more

I have been a customer of Greg and Jay's since they opened back in 2001. I trust them with all of my automotive needs. Given that I have had a few cars over the years, they have always explained what the problem is and what the solution is, as I don't claim to know anything about cars. They have quoted fair prices for any major jobs and they get the work done fairly quickly. I went in there for brake pads and rotors replacement. That should only cost $300. They recommended 2 other repairs on top of brake work. That cost me $656. I went along with it. After the repairs were done, my car was tampered with so the check engine light went on and the car shook uncontrollably. I had to bring it back for repairs again. That cost another $220. I will never go back there and do NOT recommend anyone else go there either. read more

I called hoping for a way to minimize the expense to replace the resonator on my exhaust system for a 9 yr old car with 180k miles - (to avoid replacing the entire exhaust system on such an old car), and they delivered on my request when other shops tried to sell me the whole shebang for more $$.
