Whenever I'm visiting, I try to grab a bite at Sang-Hi. The menu has definitely grown over the years, but some of the previous flavors have changed. I think the chef might've changed. However, it's still worth the visit and the food is delicious. My go-to entree is the Gan Chajang (간짜장) because I love the sautéed sauce, but they put a LOT of onions. A must for me is their Tangsuyook (돼지고기 탕수육), which is sweet and sour pork. On special occasions, my family and I order Palboche (팔보채), which is a seafood medley, or Kanpoong Shrimp (깐풍새우). Both are pretty spicy, so if you have a low tolerance for heat, I do not recommend. Overall, service and prices are good and the food portions are generous. It's meant to be eaten family-style and there's a back room if you have a bigger party size. It's the best (if not only) place in the area to get Korean-Chinese fusion food around.

Service was fast, food was fresh and delicious. The inside was clean and lot of space and comfortable. The noodle was excellent and the fried chicken was crispy and yummy

Okay food. Okay service. After numerous times of trying this place out, I don't think I'll ever return. There aren't many restaurants in Philadelphia that offers Jjajangmyun so this is just one of those place you go for your cravings. When we got there, there were a lot of people waiting in the lobby area with no hostess around for us to check in. After waiting for few minutes, I checked in with the hostess/server and waited for our table. As we were waiting to be sat, I realized how unorganized this place was. There are people constantly repeating their place in the line because the workers did not give us assurance that she knew who was the next person to be sat and kept saying the number of people in the party incorrectly. When we finally get sat, I immediately noticed the red splash marks on the table cloth...it was so dirty I couldn't believe it. I mean what's the point of you having table cloth if you're not gonna change it ? The chair felt greasy as I was putting it out. Then when we finally got our high chair....oh my...that thing seemed like it hasn't been cleaned in ages. We wiped it down with a wipe and the wipes turned yellow and black!!!! How unsanitary! The food came out pretty quick so that was a plus. The taste was okay, nothing special. But when we asked for larger plate for jjajangbop they said the dishwasher went home so they didn't have a plate to give us. I guess that explains piles and piles of dishes in the bins. Will not return!

This place is so understaffed right now.. so the service is terrible. The place was packed on a Sunday afternoon and there were only two workers for everyone. It took forever to place our orders, they wouldn't dare to look at us if we needed something (spoons, napkins, etc), and when we were ready to leave, we had to ask for a to-go container three times, twice with the same guy and once with the girl, to finally get our container. Even after we asked each time, we did not get our service right away and kept having to wait. They kept serving to other tables and avoiding our eye contact when we really wanted to just get our containers to take over the left over food and leave. On the other hand, this dish is the most expensive dish in the menu and the portion is huge (put my hand in for reference). It is very delicious. The pork tangsooyook is too seasoned and tasted like fried chicken. It was too flavorful and seasoned both when eaten with and without the sauce on the side. Ambiance wise, it is just okay. Good for a medium sized group to eat altogether but I'd avoid it during prime time for now unless you have a lot of time to kill with great patience.

I've been coming to this plaza for years and the parking can be hectic at dinnertime due to there being 2 restaurants, a boba shop and a large Korean grocery store right next to each other. This restaurant specializes in fusion korean-chinese cuisines. Upon entering the restaurant, we were promptly greeted and seated immediately. The interior design of this restaurant adopts dark woods with premium booth seating in the middle and more secluded family style dining rooms with chinese-style wooden windows located further back for larger parties. The lighting is dim and focused on the tables with scattered fairy lighting along the protruding divider walls creating a very intimate ambiance perfect for date nights. The menu is english/korean friendly and offers a variety of dishes but what we come for specifically is a popular combination ordered by many. Once seated, tea is served instead of water but water can be requested if preferred. The appetizer by default will be a dish containing cuts of raw white onion and pickled radish with a dipping sauce of black bean paste. The best way to indulge is by pouring a minute amount of vinegar and a pinch of red pepper flakes on top based on your preference. Tangsuyook is a batter-fried protein (usually pork) which comes with a sweet and sour sauce containing carrots, pineapple, onions, peppers and wood ear mushrooms. The tangsuyook also comes with a refreshing side of sliced cabbage slaw salad topped with a light mayonnaise-based dressing. This dish however arrived to our table lukewarm and was a bit of a disappointment this time around. The jamchamyon is two different dishes separated in the same bowl for indecisive diners. The left side contains jajangmyon which is a blackbean sauce noodle dish containing sautéed beef, peas, onions and potatoes. It was a little too starchy this time around for my taste as I like a more drier solid consistency but to each their own. The right side contains jamppong which is a spicy seafood noodle soup containing squid/octopus, cabbage, shrimp, wood ear mushrooms, jalapeño and sometimes fish. It was a bit on the saltier side this time around and was missing fish but the savory broth was consistent to what I remember this dish by. This is a go-to spot for this combination of items and I really recommend you try it out for yourself as it is loved by many in South Korea.

The food here isnt the same as it once was but its still delicious. The jjampong has a fresh seafood broth and the meat dishes were so tender. The best korean style chinese food in PA.

The food and the service was good. Ordered jajang and jjampbong. Combo, the sweet and sour pork, fried dumplings. They were all ok. The sweet and sour was good. Probably the most disappointing thing was the Yu San sul bop. They didn't bring out the chili pepper sauce so when I asked about it, they had no clue what I was talking about.

The salad was a bit underwhelming and we wished there was more salmon sashimi in it, but the dressing was good and it was a nice and light dish to start with. The Pork Regular Combo was plenty for us, and had a good variety of pork belly, jowl, and spicy bull-dwaeji to try. We ended with a really tasty marinated galbi. Our meal also included steamed egg, corn cheese, and doenjang and kimchi jjigaes, which did not fall short, either. Our waiters were extremely attentive and accommodating! Our original reservation was scheduled for 8:30 PM and our plans changed, so we wanted to come in earlier. The staff did their very best on a packed night and were able to get us in at 7:30 PM and made sure to call us to let us know. We had a waiter grilling at all times, so our food was ready quickly. SALT is tucked in a plaza with plenty of parking on a busy night. The restaurant itself was cozy, but one thing we did notice was how quickly we ran out of space at our table. We felt a bit rushed to clear things out, but otherwise, a really great experience!

If you've been to an Hmart, BornGa is basically the Hmart food court but its own independent restaurant, and that's not a bad thing. The menu is mostly made up of Korean soups and noodles, and I got myself a seolleongtang (ox bone soup). Really good among the seolleongtangs I've had, with a soothing beef flavor, a good amount of boneless meat that was easy to eat, and surprisingly some noodles in the soup along with the usual cup of rice. You do have to add salt as is usual for this dish, and there is a jar on every table. The highlight though was perhaps the only non-soup/noodle dish, the tonkatsu. My partner got it and it was HUGE, literally the size of your face. Perfectly crispy with a really nice sauce, no notes on the katsu itself. We did wish it came with more rice and the side salad, as the portions of those felt too small compared to the enormous katsu. However, there is complimentary and UNLIMITED kimchi (both the usual cabbage kimchi and radish kimchi) that you can serve yourself from a fridge, which is a great accompaniment to any meal. Just be reasonable and considerate with it, I'd hate for them to take it away because someone ruins it for the rest of us. Both dishes along with plenty of kimchi were incredibly filling, and every dish on the menu is a flat $16.99 (plus since it's counter-serve, no pressure to tip). All in all, BornGa is not the kind of Korean place that gives you a whole royal spread of banchan or piles of meat from the grill. But it's a great spot if you know what you're getting into - casual but affordable Korean comfort food.
