As usual, great service from Mr. Sang and son! The place is easy to come by though parking is limited, especially when they're busy. However, even with 5 cars in front of me I was in and out of there in a reasonable amount of time. They're certainly efficient. Mr. Sang waa still kind enough to hand out cold bottles of water while I (and the others ahead of and behind me) waited patiently. I hate having to get my car smogged but Mr. Sang makes me hate it a little less. read more

When I arrived, someone else was getting their smog check done. I got in right after and we were done fairly quickly. I would say it didnt take more than 20 minutes to finish the diagnostics. I have a 2010 Acura sedan. Sang was friendly, professional, and efficient. As he pulled the car in to get tested, he offered an area where we could sit down and wait and gave us cold bottles of water as well. He explained the pricing and the fees and how it worked. I paid $50 for the service and certificate. $41.50 for the check and $8.50 for the certificate. If the car is older, from 1996 to 1999 he charges an extra $20 ($61.50) And if its from 1976 to 1995, it's an extra $20 on top of that. ($81.50). This pricing is only for sedans. He charges more for bigger sized vehicles. When I need smog check services, I will be coming back here again. He is reasonably priced and offers great services. read more

Mr. Lee Sang was incredibly friendly, kind and knowledgeable. He got me right in and right out, and was very helpful for my disability. My highest recommendation and I will suggest this small business to all of my family and friends. Cost on 6/2/25 for a small 2013 car was $41.75 plus $8.25 for the certificate (total $50) . Never thrilled to see the inevitable "Smog Check Required" clause before getting to renew the registration tags, but this spot definitely alleviates the headache. Even with a few "test only" spots right by our place, I still would go out of my way to handle my business at Sang's Smog. Clean, efficient, courteous, and reasonable, Mr. Sang himself handles each vehicle and is incredibly seamless at what he does. I took my car in on 06/24/2025 for smog certification and arrived a bit before 8am. The location is designated a STAR station. It seems to be a father and son business. I believe Andrew (son) was the one that helped me out today. He was very genuine, kind and attentive. I was in and out pretty quickly. He did offer a water bottle while I waited, a very nice detail to service. I also appreciated the conversation about Honda and suggestions regarding those with a manual transmission. Overall service was efficient and worth the price, $50 for my car however seems to depend on a few factors. They have clear pricing posted in their business and that's what you're charged based of those factors. The parking lot is a bit small however I still think the place is worth it. I will be recommending this place to others and if you're a local to Anaheim, great place to support. read more

Came here for a smog on a Saturday morning. I was immediately greeted by Mr. Sang and asked if I wanted to wait inside. Shortly after, I was offered a water bottle. Very friendly service. The whole thing took about 15 minutes. They are star certified which is always a plus. The cost was $50 dollars with a free retest within a month (if needed) Thankfully, that wasn't necessary. Love to support small businesses! But I won't do it just for the sake of supporting. The service, the value, and the experience have to actually be good and this place exceeded the bar on all levels. Mr. Lee was super efficient and straightforward to work with. I didn't feel like I was being ripped off at all. Love working with fair Korean business owners! Took my car in for a smog check and was in and out in less than 15 minutes. It was a hot day and he offered me an ice cold water bottle. Smog check was $50 even (test analyzer $41.75 + state certificate $8.25) and this place is STAR certified! Will 1000% be back here if a need another smog test. read more

I looked for a smog place on Google maps and this place is close to my house. I called to ask how much they charge and they told me it would be $50 for my 2016 Camry. I headed over to the shop and there was one car ahead of me. The young man, I believe he's the son of the owner, greeted me and let me know I would be next. He then let me know that I could wait inside so I went and sat down. The father then brought me a cold water. The shop is clean and they have the doors open so it was fresh. The son then explained to me the breakdown of the fees, and how it works if it failed. The actual test took a few minutes and I was out the door. I paid with my debit card and they didn't add additional charges like some places do when using debit/credit. I will be returning and will recommend my family to go here. read more

I went today at 8 am and I was attended with so much kindness. Gave me a bottle of water without me asking and told me to have a seat. He got my information and started to work on my car. In total it was $50 and I was out. Very efficient and quick place. Client forever now. Within about an hour, he figured out that it wasn't the air flow sensor at all--it was just a blown fuse. That alone saved me a lot of money and potentially from being overcharged elsewhere. What really stood out was the honesty and communication. He explained clearly what went wrong, didn't try to upsell anything, and made sure I understood the situation. On top of that, he even aired up my tires for free, which was a nice touch. Fast, honest, and affordable service like this is hard to find. He told me that **half** would be credited, meaning $100, which I felt was fair. Based on that, I expected something close to the following: * Diagnostic: $200 ($100 credited) * Labor: $200 (install time is .9 hrs + 1 hr diagnostic) * O2 Sensor: $179 (the same OEM part costs $59.98 at any auto parts store) Brian then quoted me **$579 total**. When I asked about the previously mentioned diagnostic credit, he declined to honor it. I also asked if I could bring in my own part. That's when things really went downhill--and honestly, I wouldn't have posted this review if it weren't for what he said next. In a very belittling tone, Brian responded, *"Do you bring your own lunch to a restaurant?"* He then continued by saying the building costs $10K a month and that they're expensive because they can be. Mark apologized, agreed the situation wasn't handled properly, and confirmed I did not need to pay since no inspection had been completed. I let them know that I did see a transfer case drain/fill on the CarFax report before I bought it. Jared thinks they just didn't torque it properly so they were going to retorque and clean up around the area and keep an eye on it. Worst case scenario, they would need to order a new drain plug gasket and I'd have to come back to get it replaced. Thankfully, the drain plug just needed to get tightened. I was in and out in almost exactly an hour just as Robert promised. Thanks The Toy Shop team!! Pro Tip: they are booked out at least a week in advanced so make your appointment ASAP!
