It was so quick and so cheap!! I paid $60 total for my 1997 suv and it took less than 15 minutes. Ran over to the bakery next door and by the time I was out, it was done. Really nice guys and they have a sitting area while you wait. Definitely coming back here in the future. read more

I received my registration renewal and had a notice to get a smog done again! My usual spot either moved or closed (I'm not sure, but could not find a current address). I found Sang with positive reviews so I called to find out if he could do my car. My car usually passes so I just need a pass check place. I brought my car to Sang the next day and he took my car and checked it right away. After 15 minutes he said I passed and I paid and went. Quick, easy and fast. Like the previous reviews before me, I would recommend this shop to all my friends and family. The entire process took about 20-30 minutes at 10 in the morning. For my Mazda, I paid $45 in total that includes the certificate (he also send electronic copy to DMV). There is indoor seating/waiting area so you don't have to wait in the sun. Mr Sang was polite and made sure I was aware of what was going on, including the cost of the service. He is also bilingual in Korean and English. I highly recommend Sang's Smog because of the great customer service, cleanliness of the premise and prompt service. Mr. Sang Lee was courteous on the phone, when I called to ask if he takes walk-ins and to ask about how busy things were at the moment (I didn't want to wait around especially not knowing how social distancing situation was on site). When I arrived, another customer was getting their smog checked but my wait wasn't too long. I chose to wait outside but inside the shop looked tidy and clean, so I think it would have been fine to wait in there, too. He was very prompt and thorough in getting the job done, and was friendly. Beware of this smog check shop. Tech Sang is a crook. He failed my car due to my catalytic converter (CAT), which was replaced 5 years ago and was in perfect working condition and, his computer diagnostic emissions test said pass. He falsely said the catalytic was not compatible to my car although I demonstrated to him that Quality Smog Check out of Mission Viejo (Smog # TC 302036) had passed the car 2 years ago and the EO ( # D-193-114) on the CAT certified the CAT was legal with the State of California Catalytic Converter database and compatible for the car . He tried to refer me to another shop to get the CAT replaced, which is illegal. It's unlawful for a test only shop to provide referrals to clients, knowingly the part and/or car is in perfect working order, proof this is a total scam. I was forced to drive to Quality Smog Check at Mission Viejo to get another test. The shop did a thorough check of the car and thoroughly inspected the CAT and passed the car. In short, be very careful with this shop. Tech Sang tried to scam me. read more

Sang is the sweetest! My aunt was looking for a place to get her car smog and I was actually recommend this place by my mom. It's super close to her house so I thought it would give it a try. Right when we got there, he greets you and explains what he'll be doing. He invited you to his "waiting area" (so cute lol) and offers you something to drink. He inspects your car and BEFORE doing the tests, he comes back and tells you the prices. Once you fill out paper work, he performs the testing and that's it! I've been going to Mr. Sang for some time now as I used to live down the street. He's always been kind and personable, this visit was no different. The catalytic converter was recently stolen from my Honda Accord so needing to get it replaced and approved was an inconvenience. Needed a smog check to renew my registration so I came to Sang Smog. Another car was just getting finished as I drove in so I did not have to wait long to get my smog check. The waiting area in the back was spacious with lots of airflow. Checks were complete and Sang made sure to wipe all the surfaces he touched (I initially brought my own wipes assuming I would have to do a full wipe down but they were not needed).
