I highly recommend this place! From the moment I pulled in, the experience was great. It's right on the corner, so it's easy to find, and there's plenty of parking, which is always a plus. The guy who greeted me was extremely friendly and professional, and he had my smog check done surprisingly fast. I really appreciated not having to sit around forever waiting. The price was very reasonable, and they even have seating with some football playing while you wait. Great customer service, quick turnaround, fair pricing, and a convenient location. It's hard to ask for much more than that. I'll definitely be coming back and would recommend this place to anyone who needs a smog check! read more

They just make up prices! Quoted $310 for a simple SMOG, then when questioned about the price they dropped it to $200, then said $208 plus 10% fee if we use a credit card. Makes no sense. Scammers!!! read more

I tried two other smog places before finding this one. Of the two, one didn't know how to use the roller dyno and the other was waiting to be recertified. So i came here based on other reviews. This place is a total one-stop shop if you don't mind paying a premium to avoid going to the DMV. I had already been to AAA, however, and just needed the full roller-dyno and sniffer test for my '99. It has a very noticeable but legal (CARB EO) power-adder kit on it, and once I showed him the paperwork for it he verified everything in the system and proceeded with the test. Even still, he was pretty thorough with the visual but I had nothing to hide, and he ran my car through the full gamut of tests it needed in short order. It passed no problem (as expected), I got my paperwork, and I was on my way back to AAA for my tags. read more

I stopped by a lunch today to get my Kia soul smog check and my registration tags..and I saw in Yelp to his place did the tags..much easier than going or sending check to the DMV.. I was greatly surprised that I orange high smog was not busy..got in and out in 15 minutes as the tech stated...very simple firm to fill out and the tech does all the rest. Car passed easily got my tags for 2026..one less task to deal with. Great service..tech is friendly and knowledgeable and was a pleasure to meet and deal with. Came by Orange High Test Only today... I have an older SUV and I usually have to hunt for Smog Check locations every other year that can run an older model (1992 S-10 Blazer). Came across Orange High Test Only after the place I originally went was closed today. The whole smog test took less than 20 minutes before I got my results. The guy behind the counter told me that I failed the test and that I needed a new catalytic converter. He then told me he was just kidding, lol. While they are a little bit more pricey than other shops I would definitely return. I'll be back. read more

Excellent service and fast help from these guys on a Saturday. Not very busy, got through 3 cars in less than 30 minutes and I was up. Everything submitted to the DMV electronically and comfortable waiting area with couch and chairs + water. Peter again claimed to not be the manager and when she asked him for a business card, he gave her one with his name listed as the manager. I dont know why someone would play games like this gaslighting an elderly woman. What do you get out of being a jerk Peter? I'm sad to say this felt like discrimination against an elderly woman. I often come here for things the dealer wants me to change and repair and Sean will let me know what is more of a priority than other items, or the dealer reported items, that is not as bad as the dealer made it sound like and that I have some times before I really need to think about changing or repair. Sean had consistently proved to me that he will be honest on what you need and not on what he can earn from you. However , my recent visit(12/20/25) has changed my view on them . Their smog tech's knowledge is lacking . My car's catalytic converter was stolen last year . We purchased all parts from the dealer and had them installed by a local reputable muffler location . ( catalytic converter , oem flange , oxygen sensor , gaskets , upper and lower shields misc hardware). We added a miller cat shield to protect it.. I brought him my car for a smog. He told me everything lookred good, except the visual? I said why? He told me that the catalytic converter was the incorrect one. I told him it was the OEM part from the Manfacture. He disagreeed. I told him i had the reciept from the dealer where the parts were purchased. He told me he wasn't going to charge me but to bring it back the car with the documentation. No failed docuemntation was handed to me . I printed all records from the online dealer purchase and returend. I was greated by a different smog tech. I told him that the previous tech told me to come back to smog the car. He reviewed the car and told me the car had failed. I was confused as the first tech didn't not say anyting about failing the car. I told the new tech that i had brought it this location. He asked for the documentation. I told him the gentlemen that reviewed the car told me he was not going charge and not docuemenation was issued. I told him that if the tech failed it you smog system should have a record. He goes and looks up the car to see who pefromed the test and found it was the smog station they run. He printed out the failed report The new techc said, come back when he is here as i don't why he failed it. I asked him when the tech will be back? He stated in 2 weeks? SMH.... 2 weeks? i can't wait that long. I reverted back to the smog /repair station i went prior to finding this shop(its closer to my home). Guess what it passed the visual. Never again will i come back. It is unfortunate. 2 stars, the lack of knowledge is unacceptable. The inablity to identify an OEM Catalytic converter from the Car's manufacture is a problem.

They couldn't fail for those reasons. He was quick, got me in and out, and I'm on my way with a certificate! I even asked him about another one of my cars that I've had getting a shop to smog (it's older, but entirely factory), and he told me to run it around a bit since it's been sitting and put a half tank of gas and he'd take care of it. When I walked in the door Paul greeted me with a big smile and shook my hand. He gave me a short form to fill out, brought my car in for the smog check and came into the waiting area and shared that the cat converter will last longer if I don't try to overfill the gas tank. Very friendly guy. He had a phone charging station in the corner. I had stopped at Smog and Fix on Tustin St in Orange. Felt like I was intruding on the guy's texting time and was not welcome there. Paul said that next time I come in he hopes to have coffee and doughnuts. For his customers. He told me he normally charges a fee for credit card charges but he waived the charges. All in all a great value. I will bring my other vehicles to this establishment. read more

I had to visit this place right before work and i was in a rush. I was worried if my smog test might get delayed and i may be late to work, but I was over thinking. This place has taken care of me all in 15 minutes. From going in, filling out the paper, getting my car tested out, and getting my keys to leave, it only took 15 minutes. I also have seen that they do the registration here too, so I took care of that because i had extra time due to their fast service! read more

I've taken 5 cars here now. They are always quick, always convenient and very reasonably priced. In addition, their "don't pass don't pay" is really convenient as I took my grandmother's 2000 Buick in and it didn't pass, so I had a mechanic look at it, he replaced an O2 sensor, and I brought it back and it passed. I only had to pay 1 time. I'll keep coming back here due to the great service, convenience and price! read more

This place is a very reliable place. The service was fantastic, as I was in and out in no time at all. The job they did left nothing to be desired, as my car is working as if it were brand new, thus I give it 5 stars. Furthermore, the prices are very reasonable and the workers are very professional. I went to Orange High Smog check because my dealer's service center was too busy and my other auto repair mechanic isn't open on weekends. On a Saturday morning there was only a short wait. The test was very fast and efficient. The technician was friendly and quick. Price was very reasonable. I'll use them again and I recommend them to anyone in the area. Came here 2day and a young guy approached me and took well care of me as well as his car they served me really well i recommend anyone to come and smog ur cars here they will treat you really well they are really nice and kind poeple. Came to Orange high test only for a quick smog check, Paul was helping me, he is very friendly and professional, it took 10 minutes for the whole test. He also sent the certificate electronic to DMV, he also do Auto registration, stickers and Registration issued right away, shop is very clean, plus the best price in town. Small shop but very high quality service, quick professional, friendly, and easily found. Definitely a great experience with workers and smooth transactions. Surprisingly, when you come in the shop and mention them on yelp they even give you a 20 percent discount so if you're on a budget, this is definitely the place to go! read more

This place is AMAZING!!! They are so friendly and knowledgeable. They have an air conditioned waiting room which is rare and hard to find. They are so fast. I was in and out in 15 minutes. It's bad enough having to take time to get a smog check but to be able to get your tags and registration at the same time is awesome! read more

Great service! He scanned my truck before I even filled out any paperwork to make sure that I would pass since my truck had been in the engine shop for weeks. He had my truck finished and passed before I finished eating lunch down the street. This will definitely be my new smog shop! Honest and straightforward guy. read more

Went to another smog check place and they were unable to perform the service, brought it to Orang High Test - and not only was he able to smog it, but I was able to get my registration renewed as well! One stop shop, friendly service, clean waiting area. I will definitely recommend all my family and friends read more

I just had my car smog check done at this location a couple of days ago. The service was awesome! The technician (Paul) was so friendly and knowledgeable. He was able to get my car passed in less than 10 minutes; way much less than some other places that I have been to. Great work, Paul! read more

I even asked him about another one of my cars that I've had getting a shop to smog (it's older, but entirely factory), and he told me to run it around a bit since it's been sitting and put a half tank of gas and he'd take care of it. I trust them to BE HONEST, which is all I can ask from a smog shop.

He was rude, dismissive, and demeaning. My elderly mother had a question and the workers directed her to their manager - Peter - who was outside smoking a cigarette near the gas station (a whole other safety/legal issue). ZERO STARS -- Deceptive, Unprofessional, and Disrespectful…read more We found this smog check location on SmogTips.com, which prominently advertises that they will beat any competitor's coupon. Based on that promise, we brought in a verified offer from a nearby location for $29.99 plus $8.95 for the certificate. When we presented the coupon, the employee snapped: "I don't give a f** what it says, I'm not giving it to you for that price."* That response speaks volumes. Not only is this a complete bait-and-switch, but it also constitutes a clear violation of FTC Truth in Advertising laws. They lure customers in under false pretenses, then refuse to honor their own advertised policies. That is illegal, unethical, and a direct breach of consumer trust. The employee's conduct was aggressive, vulgar, and completely unprofessional. No customer should be subjected to that kind of treatment -- especially after being misled by a fraudulent price match guarantee. I've filed a formal complaint with the FTC and will also be reporting this incident to SmogTips.com for false advertising and abusive behavior. If a business can't back up its own promotions, it shouldn't be allowed to advertise them in the first place. Avoid this place at all costs. There are plenty of honest, law-abiding smog check stations out there -- this is not one of them.
