This Review is for SMP - DENSITY. First off, getting SMP (a scalp tattoo) was the hardest decision of my life. This, as a person who doesn't even have a real tattoo! A little background, I am late 40's, have hair kept from using finasteride for 20+ years, darker complexion skin (brown), but have noticed thinning as I have gotten older. I keep a longer hairstyle, dye my hair to hide roots, etc.. I considered a HT, looked at my options before doing this, and can say that I am roughly 8 months since SMP and it was the best thing I have done for my hair. BOSCO is the guy. He was honest during my consultation with him, did an absolute great job with his approach of SMP for me, and I just can't speak highly enough about him. NO. Nobody looks at me funny, no one can tell. including my wife who just feels that it really made an improvement. The pictures and the way that it looks in his office do not do any justice as far as how it actually looks in real life. This review is long overdue for Bosco. My lineup has been getting pushed back from the years of moving to different parts of the city and having to re-find my new barber. Anyone who shops around for a barber knows how painful that process can be especially on our hairline. Great experience with Bosco 5 by 5. Initial consult - I knew before hand that I didn't want it sharpe on the edges but also had no idea what shape to go for. Bosco took my hard requirement and then worked with me to suggest a good shape that would look good. Treatment - the location and the place where it's done is well thought through and very clean. I liked the touch where you can watch Netflix to pass the time while having the treatment done. It wasn't painful. My appointments were all on time and no hassle at all. After a free consultation to plan out my hairline I came back a few weeks later for my 1st session. Very minimal pain, I've had laser hair removal which is 1000x more painful. You honestly barely feel scalp micropigmentation. The 2nd session had Bosco adding more density and lasted around the same as the 1st. I began having male pattern baldness in my late 20's/early 30's and felt really insecure about it. Most of the time I would wear hats or beanies to cover it up. However, I decided to do something about it for my upcoming wedding. After much research about SMP, I chose Scalp Society based on the great reviews and affordability. I did three sessions with Bosco based on the results I wanted to achieve. He was really knowledgeable and friendly. My first session was the consultation which took about 2 to 2.5 hours. He precisely drew where exactly my hair line was going to be and which areas he was going to concentrate the most pigmentation. Also, he was able to cover up a few childhood scars on my head as well. Each touch up session after that averaged about 2 hours or less. I was comfortable in the chair each time as I watched Netflix during my appointments.
