She required that I prepay for my treatment, then canceled my appointment just a few days ahead of time, without explanation. Friday, I went in and was given another nurse with no notice or explanation. I had this procedure done a long time ago and the nurse dimmed the lights, calibrated her laser to just what was required. It didn't hurt and I left with no blisters, holes, scabs or scars. Today, was opposite in nearly every way. It was very painful and I originally had many blisters. The technician said she used the manufacturer recommendations for settings but had to adjust the machine 4 times during my procedure because she said the settings were changing without her input. I did speak to Dr Lowen who assured me that my experience was perfectly normal and there was nothing wrong. My blisters had all popped shortly after my procedure and the first few showers were painful but now that I am covered in 60 plus scabs it's not so bad. I can't shave because of all of the scabs but that's not so bad since it's winter. Moral of the story, this laser will get rid of your veins but it's so powerful it will burn tiny holes into your body every time they pull the trigger.

I will never have her touch my face with any devices ever again. She also touched me inappropriately and I voiced my concerns and no one ever resolved the concerns. Despite being a loyal patient for 37 years, with Dr Saal, I have observed a significant decline in the office environment over the last 15 years.
