I came here a few months ago for a new hair system and wanted to give the business a few months for a fair assessment and review. Pros: Cindy is overall very nice and responsive when it comes to text and calls for booking appointments. The latex hair system I bought from her is high quality with little to no noticeable degradation after 2 months of ownership under normal wear and tear and maintenance conditions. Cons: Her English comprehension is severely lacking. When asked questions beyond anything basic she struggles to give an appropriate answer, which is a significant pain point as a customer. The hair system cost me $1200 which Cindy was upfront about, however, she failed to inform me the up sell charges (hair system shampoo, conditioner , and leave in conditioner) she pushed on to me costing $18 each. Along with the hair system tape. When I asked her how much in quantity the tape was she didn't know the answer.. Lastly, this place is not the cleanest, with years of customers old hair and caked dust throughout. I felt that this shop was concerned in making me a satisfied customer more than a sales person making a commission. The pricing was much lesser than the other shops I visited. I want to leave a consultation that ended in me putting a deposit down review and leave the type of info that was initially looking for. I'm the kind of neurotic person who will look at every Yelp review, spend hours on YouTube and social media looking people who got what ever I'm looking into do reviews and share experiences so "this place is great, highly recommend!" Doesn't work for me, I find it hard to just go with other peoples opinions and need cold hard facts and to see with my own eyes if possible. This was my second consultation since my first one was 2021 and I shortly after lost my job due to pandemic. I had a great experience then and was also shopping around as hair systems were a new thing to me at the time. I initially talked to different places probably the same the many other guys did. I found another high rated place to be very overwhelming, pushy, EXPENSIVE, and almost slight of hand-ish. I was worried this is what the industry was like. I ended up talking to Cindy and had a great talk about what I want and she was pretty good about expectations. After I lost my job I put it aside but recently was like "yeah, it's time" I had another great conversation on this second 2 year apart consultation. Cindy is really nice and I honestly feel like she isn't trying to rip anyone off, overcharge, or push you on anything. For what I want, she even helped me with how to save a ton of money. What's great is I showed up and was able to see a client walk out with a fresh system and was blown away, it looked so good and completely natural, which gave me even more confidence as this was the first time I was aware I was looking at a system. We talked hair style, color match, long term and short term goals. She encouraged me to not go too crazy and stick try regular hair match/texture and experience it for a few months; see what I like and don't like before I buy multiple units. I've seen other comments saying that the place was dirty but I find that hard to believe, the place is spotless and very nice. Working on customer service my whole life I think I know what kind of people are leaving those reviews. While true she is busy, understand this is a 1 woman show. If you can't respect that, then you are probably just a bit too entitled. At other places I went they had multiple employees with up to 3 people in the consultation which tells you why they hike up the price so damn much. Be upfront about what you want explain the best you can (pictures help) and Cindy will tell you what she can and can't do (so far no "cant's") I find Cindy to be a busy woman and really direct which some people take as rude or rushed but I did not feel rushed ever even when I asked the same question multiple times. I found her to be really sweet and sincere about what she does, some people actually enjoy being sold to and fluffed... you won't find that here, just all business baby! I cant say enough how happy I am when I found Cindy!! I immediately bought the package after my first facial. I am now all set for another year to go !!! She is very nice, gentle with your skin, but knows how to do the extraction very well. I haven't found a facial spot with a good massage in a long time, she does give a good massage on my head, neck, shoulder and arms, such a nice way to reward yourself ladies. I came here for facial with a groupon. I absolutely loved the facial at the time cindy was giving me the facial. Also her hot stone massage on the hands was a 5 star experience. She is very polite and will share her ideas on how to take care of your skin once u get home. One thing that i did not have a good experience with was her salon was locked when I arrived and after knocking the door for several minutes no one opened the door. I tried calling her several times too. There was no sign saying they were open. I decided to knock the door hard before leaving the place and fortunately she came out and opened the door. This is a review for hair replacement. Quick background, started having hair loss at 20 y/o- as a female definitely changed my confidence. Went to see specialists about hair transplant- not a candidate. Tried hair laser combs, Rogaine, the cover up powders, suction and pull on wigs- nothing really worked. Finally- I tried a couple different hair replacement centers- HAIR CLUB- I was with them for almost 4 years Pros- - multiple centers around the Bay Area - When you leave, you feel like you have just left the salon - Depending on who you have, they know how to cut hair and do modern hair styles Cons- - Not the best quality hair - The products used to secure hair was decent - would stay for 1.5 weeks at most without me touching it - Doesn't last as long so after 1.5 to 2 months looks fake and thinned out - VERY EXPENSIVE, from the last time I was there, the cheapest plan was not less than ~$300/month. - Getting appointments became a lot harder. For me, if I am paying so much money- I would expect to get 85% of appointments when I need it. NEW LOOK INSTITUTE- I was with them for maybe 6-9 months Pros- - The quality of hair is amazing. Cons- - the products used to keep hair on was not all that great, I was scared it would come off sooner than later expected - They didn't have options for monthly plans that were all that appealing - The hair cuts were ok ILOOKGOOD - this is where I am currently at for 1.5 years Pros- - Cindy knows how to do hair replacement. - The hair is good quality and last for at least several months. - I ordered only 2 pc last 1.5 years- finally in November 2018, had let go of one and ordered my third piece. The piece I tossed out, the hair cut was really nice so Cindy was able to add hair and I got to use it for another 2 months. - She uses microlinks to secure so you can grow your hair out underneath and blend. - The best part, it is secured when it get put on. I don't have to worry for at least 3-4 weeks that the font or back is lifting. Very strong hold. - I get appts 95% of the time with no hassle. - The blow dry is nice- like being in a salon. - The price is reasonable. Not the cheapest but for the quality of the hair it is good. Also the price of services is very reasonable. - Also she only takes one client at a time so no one is waiting in the lobby. You don't feel self-conscious. Cons- - The hair takes some time to come in. So you need to prepare at least 6-8 weeks ahead. read more

Ive been getting waxed for years and this was the absolute worst experience I've ever had. Setting up the appointment took 3 days and then it was changed again 10 mins before I arrived. The "salon" was filthy, the table and pillow were covered in hair, my skin was burned(first time thats ever happened), my hands are covered in wax from assisting, she double dips(gross, didn't realize it was happening until it was too late) and I have large patches of hair left. If you're going to bother with a Brazilian wax the last thing you want to do is come home and pluck hairs for an hour. Do NOT get waxed here! read more

The facilities are basic but I am very glad I found Cindy through Groupon. This was my first visit and I was very pleased. I even ended up purchasing a facial package! What I loved about my facial was how much Cindy focused on extractions - something highly important because that is something that a professional needs to do. Slapping on different masks and cleaning my face is something I can do at home myself. She did an excellent job extracting my blackheads and left no scars at all. She got some that were very deep as well and somehow did not leave my skin inflamed at all. She is very detailed oriented. Be brave for the extractions! They can be very painful but push through the pain because it's worth having your pores cleared!! The facial also comes with a nice massage around the head, neck, shoulders, and arms.
