Read the paperwork carefully before you sign. Even on an HMO they require you to pay up front. That is against contractual agreement with the insurance company. I called my insurance company and they verified this fact. There was no misunderstanding, I made sure to be very specific about why they were asking of me. Fraud alert! This dentist office is a rip off. We paid $105 cash for a consultation and x-ray in order to get a tooth pulled, only to find out that they don't pull teeth; and therefore was referred to another dentist in Concord who do their own x-rays and consultation for another $175. read more

I always feel at ease getting dental work done with Drs. Sanjay and Rita. I've had numerous cleanings and fillings done and have had no problems. Some of my fillings were on visible teeth and they matched the color of the fillings so well that I couldn't even tell you where it is. I have been visiting Dr Patel for over 5 years now, and have always had a wonderful experience, which is hard to say when you refer to a dentist. His staff is always very courteous, accomodating especially in urgent situations (i have had 5 root canals). Prior to finding Dr Patel, I had another dentist who had really messed up my RC's, so had a lot of re-work to be done, in some cases, when a cap fell off and had to be re-fixed, as happened last week. The office is modest, but very comfortable. Dr Patel is very thorough and explains clearly what's going on and what the choices are. He has this really cool camera now through which he shows you what's going on inside your mouth on a TV screen. He is very patient, and i've never had any regrets. read more

They accomodate your scheduling needs and are even open later on a couple of evenings during the week to make it easy on scheduling conflicts. Had a tooth concern on my way to Bay Area and saw Dr Patel. Dr Patel and his staff are extremely friendly & professional. Dr. Patel's dental assistant took X-rays of all my teeth then explained what to expect on that first appointment. He was thorough, carefully explaining where problem areas were by referencing the Digital X-rays on big screen TV and what needed to be taken care of right away and what needed to keep an eye on. He has gentle, yet steady hand and was really good at making sure that I was comfortable & OK throughout the dental procedure on subsequent visits. I have been going to dr. Patel for about two weeks now and I had the worse experience I ever had in my life. I went in to start the process of getting a implant done and he was very rude and inpatient, he was dismissive and wouldn't let me talk as if I didn't have anything important to say. After he filled some cavities I had terrible pain so I called four days after about It and his literal words were WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO ABOUT IT as if he was annoyed , i was speechless, but against my better judgment I went in anyway. When I got there he asked me to sit in the dentist chair as he prepared his tools and started drilling in my mouth without giving me numbing medication. Today I went in for a visit regarding my broken tooth. Well as soon as I got there Mellisa tells me I owe them $25.00 late fee for not showing up ... well this will be the last and never again will attend there office. He did not want to fix my tooth he decided to send me some where else and have a another dr fix all my problems due to him sending me to a referral. And top it off he didn't speak nor chat about what can be done. His Asst's told me what I needed and then he up and left to sit in his office. I highly recommend people don't visit this office nor do business with him .. I called to schedule a new patient appointment and was told the cost would be $70. I arrived for my appointment and after filling out paper work was told the visit will be $70 only if I paid cash. I do not typically carry cash and was not told this on the phone. I was told the credit card price would be $105; that is a 50% charge for credit card. Vending machines and even parking meters accept credit cards. I was given the opportunity to leave to get cash; I left but will not return. I will not do business with anyone who seams to be that far out of touch with modern times and neither should you. read more

I had a TON of anxiety about finding a dentist when I moved here, so I put it off for a year and a half after moving. I found Dr. Patel online and had a really hard time believing his rating could actually be 5 out of 5 (with more than just a couple people reviewing), but I took a leap of faith and finally made an appt. I have to say, it was probably the most pleasant experience at a dentist that I have ever had. He cleans the teeth (which seems to be a thing down here? I've only ever had hygienists clean my teeth). He was super fast and thorough. He went over my x-rays and made a couple of suggestions for other work I could use, but he wasn't pushy at all. He gave me his advice and left it at that. I've been going to Dr. Patel for about 12 years now with no complaints. Sanjay and Rita are the only dentists I trust, and I will not go to anyone else. I have a horrible history with a previous oral surgeon which resulted in a broken jaw. No one else wanted to work on me after that. Dr. Patel took the challenge and has been taking good care of me since. Being the big baby I am at 36 years old, Dr. Patel gives me extra shots for numbing. He does whatever it takes to make me feel as comfortable as possible. He is also very affordable compared to most dentists when you pay out of pocket. I have never had any problems with the work that has been done in my mouth. My crowns and fillings look and feel great. Rita and Sanjay provide quality dental work, and I'd recommend them to anyone. A different dentist ( they are all over), and not to mention ''them'', was going to charge me at least $2,000 more for the things I need done. Went today and for the 1st oral exam visit( he already has x-rays from '' other place'', I was quite happy with all he told me. After reading the other reviews, yes he talks fast and has a lot to say. I myself had no problem listening to what he said. His information to me ( I can only speak for myself) was priceless. Dr. Patel as you all know owns his own business with a small crew of workers. Because Dr Patel is the only dentist I'm sure he does not have a lot of extra time when others have appointments coming in after you so when he talks fast about everything you need to know, absorb, and yes he did ask me if I had any questions. I wrote down what he told me and thus far I'm a happy camper. Bottom line, he's good at what he does, and is saving me tons of money. My tooth concerns were deep cleaning, extractions & filings. His staff are super friendly & professional. Terrible experience with his associate oral surgeon. The front staff is clueless and has no front office re-pore. Needed a specialist and was referred to this office based upon my extraction complications. Had an extraction by the oral surgeon who gave me no information on what he was doing or had did. Left with no pain med's prescription or and kind of antibiotic. Two days later was in such severe pain and had called the office. No dentist was available to look at me. Told me to go to urgent care where the prescribed me oral med's and two antibiotics. The office staff had no compassion and said they couldn't do anything. Finally after 6 days I was able to see the surgeon. He said everything i was experiencing was normal and I will still be in pain for a few more days. What an ass, had no compassion for his butcher job. Do no go to these hacks ! read more
