My friend and I mostly stuck to the book sections, and we had to leave because they were closing at 8pm (it's a weekday), but we definitely would've stayed longer if not. I ended up getting two children's books for my daughter plus a paperback for myself ... two were $5 and one was $7. I did price check one on Amazon (the $7 one) and it was $6.25 there, but this way I already have the book in-hand (and it was a sensory book full of things she can touch, so she loved it). Overall this place was fabulous and I highly recommend. It's apparently a chain but I'm not sure how many exist - I know there are some in Japan though.

It was a fun place. It was a mix between a dollar store type place and a dollar general type store. They had so many adorable items, like those cute pens and pencils and stickers I took a photo of. They had a very small variety of a lot of items, like a dollar store. They only had around three small refrigerated/ freezer areas. They had their isles separated like a dollar store, home items, cleaning items, shelf stable foods drinks and candies, pet items, small child items, craft area, etc.... I found some items I was looking for like sesame seeds and metal chopsticks. We also found items we had been searching for, for over a year, like the peach ice creams. Those the kids had wanted to try for ages. I feel that even though they were expensive, I had seen them for $10 each, and they were around three for $17 here. They also had tons of the viral candies, drinks, and noodles people like. We love treats, so we stocked up on our favorites. All in all we had fun shopping here and might return.

Yesterday, Friday November 8, 2024 I sang songs written by author/musician Heather Buchanan and Tracy Kash for Heather's newest novel titled, VICTORS. It is about Black musicians who went to France to help fight in World War I. Ultimately, they were largely responsible for our victory and when they weren't fighting they were playing music, sharing the new jazz sound which influenced not only Europe but the world. My dress, purse, fan, long strand of pearls and headpiece, all purchased from the Peacock Room in the Park Shelton were a smash hit! They had stationery (e.g. notebooks and cards), Japanese and Korean makeup, a lot of gachapon machines, and other anime merchandise. We had a nice time browsing! The makeup section was a nice surprise. The gachapon is a bit expensive (1 token is like $2 and the machines require like 4 or 5 tokens depending on the toy) but I don't know the going rate for gachapon so maybe that's standard pricing? The drinks area is at the back of the store and there is ample seating to the side. The employee was friendly. I ordered a milk tea which was pleasant, not the best I've had but the price was very reasonable. The tapioca was interesting, irregularly shaped and chewy, and the core was a bit harder than the rest of it. My friend enjoyed her matcha. I can see this being a nice place to bring your sushi/bento from One World Market next door, grab a drink, and hang out!

Some Japanese items, so many Manga figurines and key chain charms and stickers too. The slippers and sleep gear actually looks comfortable. Lots of Japanese makeup here too. The green tea is ok. Service is quick and fast. The tapioca is so, doesn't taste ad chewy as I had hoped. The Mango bubble and mango tea is ok.
