Everything about SANS PIZZERIA gets five stars! We had "Sam's Spectacular" medium pizza with extra onions and it was close to perfect! The first bite produced one of those "eye-rolling" moments! We had the opportunity to dine at San's for the first time on a Friday early evening. They were nearly full with few tables available. We were promptly greeted and seated by friendly staff. Our server took our orders and brought the beverages quickly. Although we ordered pizza, we were also given a thorough rundown on their entrees (and their homemade Marinara) which we are eager to try on our next visit. All the food brought out to other diners looked delicious as well at those Garlic Knots. We had a ham/mushroom & the Chicken Ranch (loved it!) which were both amazing and cooked to perfection. Best crust I've had, on the thin side. Very light and almost fluffy. We both had the 14" pizzas which gave us enough to take home for later. By the time we left, there was a line to be seated as well as for carryout. We will be back soon!!! So refreshing to go to an eatery with adequate/conscientious staff that check on you often!!! We moved to Ocala almost a year ago and searched and searched for a great pizza. We finally found it at San's. Everything from pizza to sandwiches and entrees are delicious. During Hurricane Ian, we had to leave our home, headed North, and have been stayng up in Ocala, just off 75. Looking for Pizza, we had been told to visit Sans, he makes everything from scratch. . We had the best service, great prices, really great pizza & salad. Not a fancy place, just good food. Owner came out a few times, wanted to make sure we were happy. He was kind and gave his wishes for returning safely, to our town that had been destroyed. He uses all fresh ingedients, best quality. Really a great dining exerience. read more

I've been to this establishment twice. The waitress is very nice so I hesitate to leave a bad review but the food is what other is. if you were only looking for pizza, this place might be for you, however, pronto pizza in Ocala is better. Aside from the pizza, I have ordered a salad, a meat dish, and appetizer. The first time I went, I ordered a meat dish off the regular menu, and it tasted like someone had taken a raw piece of meat and cooked it really fast. It was so chewy that I only ate one bite. We had to take it home and slow cook it for a couple of hours for it to taste normal. The pesto pasta however, it was delicious. The second time we went, we started with calamari, which was very bland, and there was just something about it that gave me a stomachache, and I love calamari. it wasn't seasoned well and it seemed like it needed lemon or something to cover up a strange flavor it had. The pizza came and I did have several bites of it. It's pretty much your standard homemade pizza. Much better than Howies, or Caesars or any of the franchises, however Pronto pizza is better. I mentioned to my significant other that the place had potential to be a decent restaurant if they were too either stick to pizza or tweak their menu and start cooking there expensive dishes the day before with the slow cook instead of throwing it on a grill for eight minutes. I've had good veal before and I know it's not supposed to taste like rubber bands. And it wasn't just one part of the veal. It was the whole thing. This restaurant watches kitchen nightmares, and takes some advice from it by reducing the amount of items on the menu, and focusing more on quality. The other thing I said to my significant other was that if they change the settings, it would look more like a nice restaurant. Instead of just plain rectangle tables lined up, they could use smaller square tables set an angles with a candle in the center and turn the lights down a little bit for ambience. As of right now it just seems like sitting down and eating in a pizza place. I hope they keep the menu items in improve the ambience but mostly I hope they start cooking anything besides pizza properly. Good luck will be back to see if there's an improvement sometime in 2024. read more

Best pizza in Ocala. Roma's is almost right next door, and they are good; I won't knock their pie. But San's is better. Crust is more flexible, cheese is not greasy, salads are beautiful--I love the people at Roma's, different (not better, just different) atmosphere, but if you are interested in pizza, and I am very interested in pizza, San's is the place to go. read more

Fantastic cheese and pepperoni pizza. Great Sicilian slices too. I didn't realize the Sunday hours were different and stopped by for lunch when they were closed, but the kind staff went the extra mile and made a quick pizza anyway.
