Limited lunch buffet daily. Naan, sweet bread, fries, fish pakora, grilled peppers, salad bar, kheer (rice pudding) & chai tea
    Brian S.

I had the $18.99 AYCE lunch buffet last Saturday. The choices were sufficient, but left me wishing to see more. Each dish I tried was flavorful including my usual go-to's of fish pakora & butter chicken. They had grilled peppers and sweet fried bread, which were both nice additions than other places. The lamb curry ran out early and was not refilled even with an hour of service remaining! All other proteins were quite empty and not barely refilled. Service was minimal to clearing plates. There was a greeting on the way in, but no goodbye or thank you on the way out. On the contrary, they expect you to leave a half an hour before closing time.

Wanted to come here for the stellar reviews. Came on a weekday for the lunch buffet 11-2:30, and we were seated immediately. Plenty of food choices but they didn't have the chicken tikka masala. For dessert they had fruits and kheer. The best part was the garlic naan (not included in the buffet I believe it was $5 per order) Lunch buffet was around $20 per person. Food was just okay. Service was okay. It was an underwhelming experience. Probably worth checking out if you're in the mood for Indian food and you're in Livermore and don't feel like making the drive to other restaurants in the East Bay.

The staff here were really friendly, and the food was good! They always kept our water glasses full and got our order in promptly. The garlic naan looked really good but it was less soft than I was expecting. The lamb curry was good, at a medium spice level it had kick but wasn't overwhelming in my opinion. The chicken vindaloo at a medium spice level felt less spicy, but the chicken and potatoes were very well prepared. The restaurant itself had a nice atmosphere, nice for an evening out. They also don't rush you out the door which I appreciate.

Big fan of Sansar! The staff is SO friendly and kind. It's usually quiet to medium busy the times that I have gone, and food comes out quickly. Personally it's my go to Indian spot in Livermore. The AYCE lunch buffet is just okay (they put out the classics and it's a good deal, but I like other menu items more) but I think where they shine is dinners. Portions are all good for the price and the medium spice level is perfect- the spice isn't overpowering the food but it's very flavorful. A favorite are the lamb curries and samosas. Easy, cost effective, and yummy dinner option!

My third and final review for Sansar.. we came here for a lunch, They have an all you can eat lunch buffet for 20$ per person. Pretty pricey to me. The had rice. Butter chicken. Salads. Fish pokara. Lamb curry. Chili chicken. Etc. the food was cold. None of it was all that great. It honestly tasted stale The service is super subpar. Very monotone and bland. Like the food... Mango lassi was tasty Don't think I will come here ever again. However I do recommend for people to try it out.

    Amazing food!

First time ever trying Indian food and I'm so glad I came here! This place has amazing vegetarian options and the plates I got were just spicy enough. The staff were really nice and helpful with answering questions. This place is also really reasonably priced. 10/10 restaurant!

I'm going to be completely honest, this place has potential. The butter chicken is good as well as the garlic naan but not great. The cleanliness of the establishment threw me off. There was old food splattered on some of their tables and their menus could use a wipe down. The service was ok, they seem to be a bit scattered, it took a while for them to sit us and give us menus. At first the waitress handed us a card with a QR square that didn't bring up their menu it seemed the website was down. She ended up "finding" some menus instead. Overall I'd say this place was just ok.

Very flavorful and generous dishes for takeout! Dishes were packaged well and arrived hot. My favorites were the garlic naan, chicken saag and tandoori chicken. We've ordered a few times and my family enjoys the dishes and we usually have more than enough food.

The experience begins in a small glass-enclosed entryway where you're greeted before the hostess is notified by radio. Moments later, the glass door opens, revealing a beautifully designed speakeasy with an elegant yet inviting atmosphere. The space offers comfortably spaced bar seating, cozy booths, and tables, all surrounded by tasteful décor that perfectly captures the speakeasy era while incorporating subtle honeycomb-inspired touches. The spirit selection is impressive, and the appetizer menu is thoughtfully curated. Their specialty cocktails are creative, balanced, and beautifully presented. We sat at the bar, where our mixologist, Kalika B, was both personable and professional. I always enjoy sitting at the bar when the bartender is willing to share their craft, and Kalika did exactly that. She explained the story behind several of their custom cocktails, the history of some of their spirits, their signature custom ice program, and offered excellent appetizer recommendations. Her knowledge and enthusiasm made the experience even more enjoyable. The entire space was spotless and clearly designed with great attention to detail. It filled up quickly after opening, so I was glad we arrived when we did. Despite the growing crowd, there appeared to be plenty of staff, and the service remained attentive without ever making guests feel rushed. There is only one restroom, but during our visit it was never an issue, and there was no wait. I've been chasing speakeasies for more than 20 years, long before they became as popular as they are today. Whenever I travel, I make it a point to seek out a local speakeasy, so I've experienced quite a few over the years. Honeycomb ranks near the top of my list. It's the perfect size--not too small and not too large--with an outstanding selection of spirits, exceptional craft mocktails, knowledgeable mixologists who truly know their craft, and cocktails tailored to your palate. The atmosphere is elegant yet approachable, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable for the quality of the experience. The Honeycomb Speakeasy in Livermore is truly a destination-worthy cocktail experience. Be sure to check their Instagram for the current password, then treat yourself to one of the best speakeasy experiences in the area.

This location is in one of my favorite quaint downtowns in the Bay Area, Livermore, and really delivers on the comfort food front with lots of creative riffs on American classics that will make your cardiologist shake their head in disappointment. The Good: * Happy Hour M-Fri 2:30 p.m. - 5 p.m. * Outdoor dog-friendly seating * Online reservations and waitlist via Toast (access through their website) * Seasonal menus so there is always something new to try. * Friendly service * Full bar with signature cocktails, as well as local beers and ciders on tap. * The brisket dinner wasn't quite what I was expecting, as it was more of a pot roast than a BBQ classic, but man, it was one of the best pot roasts I've ever had. The beef was smoky, succulent, and melted in your mouth. The concomitant jalapeño mashed potatoes were a fantastic accompaniment, as you got all the flavor of the jalapeño but just enough heat to make it an excellently balanced dish. * The BBQ beans were more of a bean soup, but delicious and smoky nonetheless. The Meh: * Limited menu for vegetarians and vegans The Ugly: * Street parking can be tough to come by, especially on weekends, but if you don't mind walking, there is a free city-run garage on Maple St. that has tons of spots and is shaded from those hot Livermore summers. First off, this is NOT on the staff working. We genuinely felt bad for them. Management thought it was a good idea to schedule ONE bartender and ONE server on a packed Saturday night. The entire place was chaotic, customers were visibly irritated, TVs throughout the restaurant stopped working, and the poor employees were drowning trying to keep up. The stress was palpable that made the experience stressful and not enjoyable. Absolute management failure. At one point I used their self-pour beer wall and poured myself half a Modelo only for it to come out warm I was able to find another beer that was actually cold... but still charged for the warm one. The food was somehow even worse. We ordered the barbacoa nachos, wedge salad, and a kids burger with fries. The kids burger was the only edible thing. The wedge salad was drowning in ranch like someone emptied the whole bottle on it. Tomatoes tasted old and gross. Then came the nachos... tiny portion, bland chips, barely any cheese, no mango salsa like the menu claimed, and the "barbacoa" -- if you could even call it that -- was tough, fatty, and completely inedible. $74 later for one appetizer, one salad, one kids meal, and 1 1/2 beers. We only tipped because we felt bad for the server. We will NEVER be back. Thanks for ruining our Mother's Day dinner.

Yes, I got here on a Saturday with no reservations. I definitely understood having to wait under those circumstances and I was okay with that. I was told it would be 20 minutes. Another group with 4 people walked in about 15 min later after us with no reservations but they were seated almost immediately. The hostess did not acknowledge us nor said anything. Awhile after that I counted 3 different groups leaving - a tota of 8 people. We waited patiently and kept waiting thinking we would be seated. 20 minutes slowly pass by, then another 5, then another 5.. I looked over and saw two tables completely empty. I was literally outside the door after about 45inutes and my phone buzzed. Come to find out that they had 3 open tables available the entire time. The decor is tiki themed along with the drinks however the music playing in the background was jazz. Not sure how that fits the theme. Also, the drinks averaged about $20 and small bites and desserts ranged from $13-$20. I'm torn about wanting to return here.
