    Hibachi

Came to celebrate a few birthdays in the family. Our reservation was for 6 and we were promptly seated. It was pretty empty, which was understandable due to the bad weather. After we were sat things moved kind of slowly. Drink orders were taken then food orders and then the wait. We waited for a long time before the hibachi started which we chalked up to us being a party of 11 but there was no communication about the delay. Anyways, on to the main attraction. Chef Anthony was awesome! The food was incredible! Everyone, including my toddler, had an amazing time. You can tell Tony loves what he does and he was a natural entertainer/chef/talker. He even chatted it up with my daughter who loves to talk.

We did the Hibachi grill for 6 (chicken and steak). The ingredients were fresh. And the portion is good but the asian food is definitely flavored to cater to the South-Asian community. The fried rice had no veggies (like carrots/corn/peas), literally only egg and oil/soy sauce mixed in basmati rice (not even jasmine). The menu stated you get a salad but we got a soup instead which had too much ginger and black pepper (it tasted like one of those knorr soup packets you get at the grocery store and did not taste fresh) and no one in our party drank it. The garlic noodles had no garlic flavor, the meat was fresh but the food was overly salty and surprisingly still had no taste and bland. Our chef was nice (DW) but nothing unusual for the Hibachi style. The staff aren't rude but they are definitely confused. I called in 2 weeks prior and made a reservation but when we arrived they had no record of my reservation request. They made it seem like they were really busy and were doing us a favor by serving us. The restaurant was still pretty vacant by the time we left. The servers and staff had us repeating everything multiple times since they couldn't hear us over the music and just a confusing experience. They also forgot about us after the Hibachi grill presentation was done, we had to holler to get to l-go-boxed and our bill. 2 stars because they offer halal meats and good quality ingredients and their location otherwise I'm likely not going to return here anytime soon.

AK Lounge hosted a Yelp event several months ago which I attended, and had concerns about. It wasn't well organized, and the staff distributing food made mistakes identifying vegetarian dishes, so that I ended with a mouth full of chicken, twice. Still, we found the menu interesting, and it certainly has a unique vibe among Indian restaurants. We ordered crispy pakodas and I had an "SF Martini." The martini was fine, but the pakodas were more like hash brown style, even served with ketchup, in addition to the mint chutney. For dinner we ordered dal makhani "American mild" for The Wife, and paneer butter masala for me, medium spicy, along with garlic naan. The food was tasty, but still too spicy for The Wife. We took it all home, and I was able to enjoy the leftovers for a couple days.

The restruant was not prepared for the crowd. They did not have enough staff to take orders. We had to wait 45 minutes for them to take our order. Our order came after 30 minutes. The Pashwar chicken Curry was great. There was lots of tender chicken and flavorful gravy. The palak paneer was ok. The cheese had no flavor. Our friends had a Cesar salad and chicken Alfredo. They said they were so so. If you are going on a Sunday night be sure to check it the dance group will be there as they had a big impact on the service.

Been to this place a couple of times, cute place with sort of tropical/floral theme - ordered mango lassi - did not seem fresh and had overpowering cardamom smell Waterchestut - my favourite out of all the apps Pepper chicken - comes with boneless chicken and it's okay Pasta - a bit on the spicier side so be cautious if ordering for kids Chicken Biryani - seemed a bit mushy for a biryani, not happy at all I would go back for the apps but not for main course

We came for the halal hibachi and it did not disappoint! We had KC as our chef and dude was super cool and funny! The kids loved the entertainment and enjoyed all of their food! We ordered steak, chicken, shrimp and a side of noodles. The proteins were all really good but the noodles were a bit thin (I was expecting thick noodles). The staff was nice and attentive. The restaurant was clean. Pricing is dependent on how many proteins you order. One protein is $30 and two proteins is $43. Each order comes with fried rice and veggies. But keep in mind you are paying for food and entertainment. We will definitely be back.

We visited AK Lounge Indian Restaurant and had a great experience. We started with the tandoori chicken appetizer -- it was flavorful and perfectly cooked. For the main course, we ordered chicken tikka masala with naan, which was rich, creamy, and full of authentic taste. The manager was very kind and even offered us a complimentary dessert -- gulab jamun with rabri. It was outstanding and made the meal even more memorable. Overall, excellent food and warm hospitality. Highly recommended!

*Vegetarian Foodie Review* We were looking for a new restaurant to catch up with extended family over lunch during the Ugadi (Indian festival) weekend and stumbled upon this place. It is sophisticated and classy, great place to celebrate special occasions! The huge aquarium at the entrance is such a vibe, my 4 yr old had lot of fun exploring it. We ordered: Appetizers: - Honey Chili Water Chestnuts - 5/5 - Signature item, it's their best! - Cauliflower Manchurian - 4/5 - The sauce/spices tasted very similar to the chestnuts dish so I would only order one of these next time - Amritsari Paneer Tikka - 3/5 - It was mild in taste but worked perfectly well for my 4 yr old who finished more than half of it. Main Course: - Penne Arrabbiata - 3/5 - Requested mild mentioning this was specifically for 4 yr old. It was still a tad spicy but tasted good. - Paneer Tikka Lababdar - 4/5 - Amazing flavor profile. - Shaam Savera Kofta - 5/5 - Amazing flavor profile and simply their best, must try!! - Butter Naan - 4/5 - Perfect for my 4 yr old. It was super soft and a little thick. - Bullet Naan - 5/5 - I loved the combination of chillies which gave a cool twist. Skip this item if you don't like spicy. - Desi Vegetable Fried Rice - 3/5 - Texture of the rice and flavor was very average. Sides: - Onion Chili Salad Drinks: - Sweet & Salt Lime Soda - 5/5 Service was a little slow even though they just had 2 tables occupied. Their menu is extensive and it will take atleast few more visit to cover them. Definitely coming back again to try other items on the menu!!

Food was good. We had a few dishes from the indo Chinese menu and the Indian menu. This place has a variety of cuisines, not sure how they keep up. The server did get one of our food items mixed up with another table's item but all good. The music was upbeat, however the shows on the TV's didn't seem family friendly. Service was quick and staff were friendly. Given that this is a fairly new business, the owners were friendly- mingling and chatting with the customers which is definitely a good way to creat a clientele. Parking is available outside and this business is conveniently located near a gas station, Indian Grocery Store among other businesses.

Went in the afternoon and the place was beautifully decorated for the holidays. It felt very nice and cozy. The service was prompt, the waiter was soft spoken and the food was delicious. We loved the butter chicken, tandoori chicken and chicken biryani. Would definitely visit again.

Prices have really gone up though. Food is authentic for Hong Kong/Cantonese BBQ rice plates and quick fixes. You actually get huge portions here. One white box really can easily feed two people here. Empress Chicken rice plate was very fresh and authentic. Meat portions on this one was a bit smaller with more bones in it, but you still get decent amount of cabbage/veggies. Honestly, flavors and textures were legit as if you were eating inside a larger Chinese restaurant. The BBQ pork rice plate was also very good and smothered in honey glaze. Good portion size. Tasted great! Overall, if you want a good Cantonese lunch box/meal or maybe noodles & small bites, you might find something here. Prices aren't cheap, but taste is authentic. It is next to the Hui Lau Shan, which is great when we want dessert after This restaurant is very unique, as most of the dishes main component is mushrooms, which provide a different umami taste than regular dishes. We have tried the crispy silkworms, tom yum fried chicken, beef noodle soup, mushroom hot pot, chicken liver pate and yao tiao, laksa fried rice, stir fry cheung fun, wild mushroom conserva. Out of everything, I definitely recommend the tom yum fried chicken, mushroom hot pot and the laksa fried rice! Although the fried chicken doesn't have tom yum flavor, they fry the chicken very well, and the tom yum dipping sauce is on pointtt. The mushroom hot pot is definitely a favorite of mine. They give a lot of food -- it is warm, comforting. The broth also has a lot of flavor as well. The fried rice is definitely a top fave. They do a wonderful job incorporating the wok hei, which not a lot of restaurants can do. It is very present throughout the rice, and elevates the rice past the laksa flavor. The pineapple was a great touch and give it a hint of sweetness. I would pass on the wild mushroom conservative. It feels like they just stirfry it in butter, and that was it. I like the silkworm, but I know it's not for everyone. It is crunchy and it tastes kind of like peanut butter LOL. it is a great appetizer. I'm glad this place offers it. I think I've gotten a couple drinks -- alcoholic, and non-alcoholic. Also one of their ice creams. They didn't really leave a standout impression on me but still good to try!

I totally forgot to write a review back then, because I would have suggested an option small cup of coconut milk or broth that people can mix to make the curry less spicy. Now for our anniversary dinner, I want to restate, service was impeccable! They went above and beyond! I really enjoyed the Cà Ri Khaoi Taylor, I love me crispy potatoes! But unfortunately the Bún Riêu not only came a bit later than expected. It was also slightly undercooked so it made for a harder mouthful when I bit into the dry/raw pasta parts. Our amazing server offered to change the dish and we took the lobster dandan noodles to go since we were on a time crunch, so I didnt really eat the noodles super fresh. It was good but it didnt have the kick and enticing flavor that the laksha curry pasta had. So I mainly wanted to come here and praise the servers, but also bring up that yes the laksa pasta back! Our menu included Soy Sauce Chicken, Spicy Pork, Japchae Noodle, Pan Fried Cubed Tofu, Shredded Cabbage and Carrot, Kimchi with shrimp, and fresh fruits. At first I thought the Soy Sauce Chicken was like the Chinese kind of cut-up chicken with skin and bones, but it's actually smaller pieces of chicken meat in soy sauce flavor. Kinda dry for me. The Spicy Pork is hella spicy! And when it's spicy, you can't taste any other flavors. Japchae Noodle was just plain mung bean noodle with soy sauce, no other ingredients. It's salty and the more you eat the saltier it gets. This is usually my go to dish but now I'm disappointed. Shredded Cabbage and Carrot is very light in flavor, just boiled chopped veg. It's useful to mix them with the over-seasoned meat. The cubed tofu is ok, probably my least complained dish. In general, it's a very simple lunch with little to highlight.
