When we arrived the aura of the place was insane! So cozy and calming. Bryan or Brian (didn't ask the correct spelling) was our facilitator for our event. When I saw he was spectacular, that's an understatement. He was patient, knowledgeable, charismatic and overall the proctor of a memorable experience. We had so much fun blending and creating our candles. Initially I thought this would be a fun one time only experience, but I cannot wait to come back to make something else!

Various scents prepared to be mixed in a small vial, tables set up beautifully with love-themed decor, and simple instructions written out along with friendly staff ready to assist if needed. It was a fun little activity to do together while trying out a variety of scented liquids (i.e. citrus sands, jasmine, amber & plum) using tiny labeled bottles and pipettes. I loved having the freedom to be creative, though mine ended up being kinda simple and was definitely fruity, heavy on the smells of cranberry, apple, and orange. Apparently Ashy Aromas also makes customized scented candles through a similar process, a unique experience that can be booked at their actual place of business in SJ.

I'm hoping by summer, I will only be using mostly these products. The laundry stuff and bars of soap are top notch. I never get tired of seeing new stuff here to try, I much prefer buying local. The space is beautifully designed and has such an elevated, calming atmosphere that makes browsing a pleasure. I had the pleasure of being helped by Noah, who made what I expected to be a quick shopping trip into a really enjoyable experience. After learning I was looking for Citronnelle, he introduced me to the new Summer Collection Citronnelle & Géranium Body Gel. I was hooked. It captured everything I love about the fragrance while feeling fresh, sophisticated, and perfect for summer. It's something I never would have discovered if he hadn't taken the time to understand what I was looking for. What stood out most was how thoughtful and genuine the service felt. Noah was knowledgeable, answered my questions with confidence, and offered recommendations that matched my preferences without ever making me feel pressured to buy more. It felt like he genuinely wanted me to leave with something I'd love. The entire boutique reflected that same level of hospitality. Every interaction I observed between the team and other guests was warm, attentive, and professional. It's clear that creating a memorable customer experience is a priority here. Thank you, Noah, for making my visit such a positive one. Your product knowledge and thoughtful recommendations made all the difference. I'll definitely be back.

I was absolutely shooketh and super appreciative of this (first time in my life this has ever happened) and by how much time she dedicated to let me pick my birthday candle and tell me about upcoming scents and events. The whole visit seriously made my day after a super busy work week. Shout out to the team at this boutique- y'all are the best!!

I did have a couple of very specific items that I would purchase if the price was right. I had a caliper/vernier on the list. Mine has lost its tiny electric brain and is crazy. I spotted the mechanical one that I wanted. The quality was astonishing, this tool will certainly last forever. Honestly, I could include this item in my will. It was certainly more expensive than the electronic one that I got from Harbor Freight. I've tried to use the Harbor Freight version, but it was useless. So for this particular tool pay for the quality. Making a shopping list was certainly more productive than actually walking into the store with a pre-generated list. I spotted a lot of items that I knew I was out of, but hasn't made it onto any list at all. I spotted a Dremel tool at a very low price. It may have been on clearance. Now I do want a Dremel tool, but I would use it so infrequently that it's hard to justify. However, the price was low enough that I felt much temptation. I must have been completely turned around the first time I was in the store. This time I found the clearance bins. As usual I found quite a few items to tempt me. I managed to hold my horses and resist but it wasn't easy. The store is also bigger than I realized. Which means the greatest barrier to shopping is finding your item in the maze. I didn't buy anything so my take on customer service is a little shaky. However, the staff did seem to be awfully efficient And the line moved rapidly. This store is part of a chain, and I have certainly been in bigger ones. But I didn't miss the size. They have simply jammed a lot of inventory into a smaller space. But you do need a sharp eye just in case you walk by an item. I like this hardware store. But there is one way close to me at home which I like faintly better. So I'm going home with my shopping list.
