Joe is a treasure to anyone, but especially to someone relatively new (4 years) to Santa Barbara looking for the "go to" contractor in any particular area. Responded promptly to my initial contact, through multiple visits and calls (I am an engineer) worked with me (lots of knowledgeable suggestions and recommendations but never pushing anything on me) to come up with the system best for my needs. Ended up at the low end of four bids from HVAC contractors. Complete replacement of old HVAC system with state of the art heat pump system, removed all of the old duct work and installed the new system with meticulous attention to detail, making sure everything was just right. At the end of the week, a bit sad to see him go. That's when you know you have the right person looking out for you. After calling several 5 star recommendations from Yelp yesterday, Santa Barbara Heating and Air Conditioning is the only one who actually answered the phone and came out within 2 hours to replace the thermostat - and they were not even listed in my Yelp list. Very pleased with the work Joe did yesterday in a house property -- he changed filter in attic furnace and checked the condition of furnace. Joe also checked a bathroom fan that I thought wasn't pulling in a enough air. Turns out I need a bathroom fan in another location to solve a humidity issue.
