We purchased a $3000 trash compactor (I know, we're idiots) to replace our 10-year-old trash compactor. We were assured that it was the top of the line, so without seeing anything in person, we took the word of the sales manager and ordered it. Once it was installed (by the installer they set up for us) it was immediately evident that it was "rickety" at best. It was also an eyesore, with bright, plastic looking chrome on the handle which would have been impossible to see from the tiny thumbnail across the counter we looked at before agreeing to purchase (totally on us). But more importantly it wasn't stable. It rattles horribly when you open it. It rattles horribly when you close it. And it moves all around inside of its compartment. When we contacted the store, complete with video, we were told "no refunds," which was never disclosed during the purchase process. The receipt is emailed to you with the disclosure after you purchased the item and leave the store. The response from the manager was that this was the highest quality trash compactor on the market, despite the videos showing the contrary. He said maybe the install was dome incorrectly but his installer, who is very nice, told us that was the best he could do, so it was basically too bad for us. Buyer beware. read more

Either they got rid of the other two "donkeys" running the sales floor or you people are just outright judgmental.... Sean was a pleasure to work with when finding a quality electronic fireplace. He went over 4-5 different brands and their differences with me and recommended one over the other. We spent nearly 45 minutes picking the right sizes etc. Unlike most, I don't sit their and complain about $100-200 in price difference. I strongly recommend not to use this company. I placed a large order January 2022. It's now Oct 2022 and still haven't received it all. That would be understandable in this day and age if it weren't for their staff members constantly telling me different info. I was told my items would be ready by May 2022. They weren't. No big deal. But they said, one more month. Then I called a month later. Again, not ready. Okay. Fine. But each time I called, they had my order completely confused, talked about delivering items I already received, telling me the remaining items would come in two weeks... etc. Each time: confused staff, losing track of my order, telling me false dates, confirming I'd have all items by Sept 2022, then finally saying perhaps my items will come in 2023. Please save your time and energy and just go to the damn Best Buy! This place is so disorganized and will waste an entire year of your time. My girlfriend went in to purchase some supplies for a our fire pit. After she returned home I looked at the receipt and noticed the items were grossly over priced. When we both went back to return the items 2 days later (no packaging, tags and seals had been removed) we were told they don't accept returns on the items we purchased. It was never mentioned at the time of purchase. For a local business to treat people the way we were treated was very surprising. I feel like she was definitely taken advantage. I would never buy anything and recommend anybody I know to shop here. I'm happy we didn't purchase the fire pit or anything else from here. I went in this morning to buy a fireplace set up with logs etc. I got home and found out my contractor purchased one so I went back to the store told him I didn't need it and I would like a refund and I must say they didn't argue with me. They were polite, and they understood, I had a retail business in Warner Center Woodland Hills for almost 40 years and it's on small retailers to give refunds so I'm very impressed with them. He sold me fireplace sand for $30 (price on Amazon 15), ambers for 30$ (price on Amazon 12). and a flex pipe for 50! price on amazon $22. Printed out some BS receipt without itemization (not sure how legal this is). It seems that he pulls these prices out of thin air. No returns of course. Bought two Viking under counter refrigerators from company in 2016. ($5,000). Both failed August 2020 (4 1/2 yrs). Both were floor displays. Had problems. Viking refusing to honor warranty. Spoke to Sean at Fireside today. He told me without looking up anything that Viking warranty is 2 years. The Viking written warranty delivered to me by Fireside states warranty is 3 years on full product, 6 years parts and labor on sealed systems and 12 yrs parts on sealed system. (Both sealed systems failed). Sean then told me no one gives warranty on display units. I old him Pacific Sales had given me a full 2 yr factory warranty on a refrigerator and honor it. He hung up. Plenty sure of himself, arrogant and zero help except to give names of repair companies. Was not told equipment was being sold with no factory warranty. Was given manual with full warranty information. Suggest you consider their willingness to help if any problems arise before buying from Fireside. read more

Great people and pricing. My contractor recommended i go here and work with Ari. He is extremely knowledgeable and very responsive. I purchased a fireplace, BBQ and 4 appliance from him. He was spot on with delivery time estimates, even during the shipping delays we are experiencing. I ordered one appliance, a small dishwasher, from an online store since they said they would have it 2 months earlier than what Ari told me. They kept pushing back the delivery date saying it was out of their control until i cancelled the order, 4 months after they said i would have it. Do not go to this place! You will be shafted and insulted unless perhaps you're a decorator representing tons of money. Nearly $7,000 blown. Armen was jaw-droppingly insulting to my wife, who is the sweetest woman in the world. Apparently Armen's father, who started the business and left it to his sons, unwittingly bequeathed his appliance empire to a couple of haughtily hamfisted, spoiled goobers who talk the jazz and the snazz, but who are composed of scant ethical substance or joy in their work. The second fireplace was delivered weeks late. The showroom displays belt the complexity of the installation required. Delivery guy had no lift-gate and smashed his hand, and was subsequently left unable to finish the job. Luckily we had another contractor there to grunt through it. Support after installation is nil. My advice is to use the showroom to look at the equipment, but just buy it online. read more

I am rather shocked to read these reviews. My parents were looking to purchase a BBQ set for their outdoor patio and we walked into this store and honestly... I had a wonderful experience. Yelp reviews are usually pretty on point...but this one, i have to admit was pretty far off. I personally am happy I didn't read the reviews before I went. First of all; they had a HUGE selection to choose from. Second of all; we had such a good experience from the minute we walked until the very end. Sean and Andy were so helpful and patient with us. My parents had no idea what they wanted and on top of that they are super picky. So, to be able to convince them of anything is near impossible. However, Sean and Andy were so informative and patient with them that they ended up purchasing their BBQ that day. Both people were so helpful and nice. 2 Days late they came out and helped with the set up and followed up with us the next week. Very professional and they truly did bend over backwards to help us out. Honestly, I love good customer service and I truly did receive that here. My parents and I also visited their Woodland Hills location to pick up some accessories for the grill and I loved my experience there as well. After being told repeatedly they could service a home, at the last minute they say they cannot because they did not install it themselves. They strung me along. Don't waste your time with them. The guys in the store were very helpful and friendly. They sent out a guy to measure for a new fireplace door and show me catalogs. Unfortunately, the picture didn't show the detail as well as it should have so when the door arrived, I HATED it!! They had one remade for me that is absolutely perfect! Jack and the two installers were wonderful. What started off as a not-so-great and "uh-oh" experience turned out great. I highly recommend choosing a door from the store so you can touch/see it. We did a lot of research before we finally made the switch from a wood burning fireplace to a gas log fireplace. I knew what log manufacturers were considered the best and then went on the hunt for a quality local fireplace store. Without question Conejo Valley Fireplace Barbecue Appliance exceeded all our expectations and more. I went there three times without buying anything asking a lot of questions and Sean always took the time to answer all of my concerns.
