Enjoyed the people, the views, the wines and the nice patio breeze here at SB Winery! The owners were so nice and took great care of us, bringing us out a pitcher of water as well as a bowl for the pup and some treats for her, too - so sweet! I got a tasting - you get to choose any 5 that you'd like which is nice instead of a preset menu. I liked how they came out in little glasses that you pour into your own glass, kind of a DIY tasting. I enjoyed the wines and they have some great full bodied reds. Overall great experience and I will be back during my next Funk Zone visit!

We enjoyed sitting on the patio on a warm day here, the bartenders were nice and the wines were good. Definitely sit outside on a warm day and enjoy the people watching.

What great pairing Wine and Chocolate!

I have always been a fan of Santa Barbara Winery... back in the day, I used to come up here for their Riesling. They used to be a little sweeter than the current one on the list now but I had a taste of the Dry Riesling and it was crisp and complimentary to any spicy dish or refreshing enough for a summer meal. The 2021 Reserve Chardonnay was a winner too! While I was there I also chose a 2018 Petit Verdot a lush red wine to which my daughter didn't waste any time trying... she gave it an enthusiastic THUMBS UP! If you like the Boudreaux region you should definitely try this one. If you happen to come up and find yourself wanting an impromptu picnic on the beach they have items here for your basket. Plenty of seating around the main tasting area with additional seating out on the deck with plenty of shade. Oh yeah and high top tables inside as well. Respectfully Reviewed.

We had a nice time at SB Winery. The staff were friendly and enjoyed the self-paced wine tasting experience. The price and pours are fair. We like that we could bring our own munchies to enjoy with our wine.

In Vino, Veritas! Ah...the allure of the vine. The orchestra of olfactory and tempered taste of the grape, the air, the soil and the ferment. An exploration of the nectar of the grape gods. This is the motivation that moved us to venture to Santa Barbara Winery in what is known as The Zone of Funk in this fair city. A friend and I entered the epicurean establishment. We were greeted a bit coldly initially, but the service grew warmer from there. We sat outside on their lovely astroturf and shaded patio and were given a list of myriad varieties to choose from, instructed to select 5. I went the "reds" route while my companion went for the "whites". Our 5 choices were numbered and placed in glasses in a wooden flight holder. As veteran imbibers, we appreciated this win-win tasting strategy. We could try wines at our own pace and chat without interruption or waiting for the next pour, and employees also don't have to check on patrons constantly. Bonus: they provide welcome oyster crackers as a palate cleanser. If one was an amateur imbiber, wishing to acquire the knowledge of each varietal from the "wine seller" (pun utterly intended) then this set up may not be as desirable. In this case, one could sit inside at the bar for a more personal and informational vino experience. Together, we enjoyed most of the tastings on offer, but the Granache/Syrah was our ultimate favourite. .

Nice tasting room and cute outdoor patio with view of ocean and funk zone . Everyone was courteous and kind. Wine was above average for sure . Our favorite was the Syrah.

Wine tasting

My favorite winery in the funk zone! We were immediately greeted and the wine tasting was only $25! You pick 5 and they bring them to you in a flight so you can serve yourself. For all the comments saying that they turn you down 15 min before closing. I would to! They shouldn't have a bad review for that. When you have wine you want to sit down and enjoy it. Don't make the bad reviews fool you. Happy wine tasting!

This really is the perfect place for both wine AND food…read more So far we've been in a couple times sitting in the bar area and also out on their comfy patio space. Our servers Alex and Kayla were exceptional at both suggesting some delicious lunch items, and also giving a rundown on their different wine tastings. They gave us some helpful information on the assorted varietals and vintages as well. We went in specifically for their M5 and Riviera Rose, but discovered their extensive selection of other varietals and vintages. Came away with some new favorites: Sauvignon Blanc, Trois Blondes (a delicious white blend), Viognier, Mourvedre, and Estate Syrah. Perfect that they open at noon for lunch. We paired our wines with their Santa Barbara Smokehouse Salmon, Smoked Duck and Arugula Salad, Chicken Pesto Sandwich, and Sausage Mushroom & Carmelized Onion Pizza. Still so much on their menu to enjoy.

I'm giving this place 3 stars because of the efforts of one server to keep things afloat outside…read more When we arrived, another large party had just left outside and she immediately cleaned one of their tables so we could sit. It was chilly so she tried to light the heat lamp at my request but both that one and the replacement did not work. The replacement actually had the propane disconnected so I assume someone knew that tank needed to be changed out but didn't do it. The other tables from the large party were full of wine glasses and a half eaten pizza. Those sat there for over an hour, and we watched several groups of people come but leave without being seated because no server was available yo seat them and the only open table hadn't been cleared. When it was finally cleared, one guest at a near by table commented that the pizza shouldn't go to waste. The girl who cleared the table initially carried it inside but came right back out with it and served it to that guest whose kid ate it. I'm all for not wasting food and if the guest had gotten up and grabbed the pizza himself, that would be one thing... but to serve old food that had been sitting out for a long time to a guest is a no no for a business. We otherwise enjoyed most of the wines in our tasting flight. Would've given 5 stars if service had been more timely, tables cleared and old food not served up.

The aesthetic is intentional and well done. Mexican icons on the walls, thoughtful decor throughout, and fresh flower centerpieces that quietly say someone here actually cares. It feels curated, not forced. I've seen a review floating around claiming Angel is rude, which hasn't matched my experience at all. Every interaction I've had has been professional and friendly. This feels more like a busy Friday night where people were camping without ordering wine and didn't love being reminded that a wine bar is, indeed, for drinking wine. Wine + service * Tasting flights are $25 and well curated * They occasionally offer two-for-one wine flights * Small-batch wines produced in the Santa Ynez Valley by Esfuerzo Wines * Standout favorites include the Coyote Rojo Bordeaux-style blend & the Sauvignon Blanc is crisp, refreshing, and easy to love * Marissa, one of the tasting associates, is consistently hospitable and attentive and makes the experience feel effortless Vibe and events * Fridays feature Lotería with a DJ from 6-10pm * Lively without being chaotic * A solid mix of locals, regulars, and people actually there for the wine If you're looking for good wine, a fun atmosphere, and a Funk Zone spot that blends culture with care, Orgullo Wine is doing it right. Order wine, enjoy the space, and let the night unfold.

We had a series of issues from the start. Our assigned waiter was completely inattentive; he ignored our table, failed to check on us, and never brought the cheese board we ordered. We eventually had to flag down another member of the staff just to get any service at all. Even after we caught his attention, our server seemed aware of us but made no effort to approach or assist. Additionally, the wait time for our wine flights was excessively long. When the cheese board finally arrived, I was shocked to find that all three cheeses were served still inside their original plastic wrappers--not even sliced. To make matters worse, we were provided with plastic knives to cut the cheese ourselves, which was incredibly difficult and frustrating. I have never encountered a cheese board served this way at any establishment. I really wanted to enjoy this visit, and I want to give credit to the other waitresses who were working that day--they were great and were the only saving grace of the experience. However, the lack of basic service and the bizarre presentation of the food made this a trip I wouldn't recommend
