Our servers Alex and Kayla were exceptional at both suggesting some delicious lunch items, and also giving a rundown on their different wine tastings. They gave us some helpful information on the assorted varietals and vintages as well. We went in specifically for their M5 and Riviera Rose, but discovered their extensive selection of other varietals and vintages. Came away with some new favorites: Sauvignon Blanc, Trois Blondes (a delicious white blend), Viognier, Mourvedre, and Estate Syrah. Perfect that they open at noon for lunch. We paired our wines with their Santa Barbara Smokehouse Salmon, Smoked Duck and Arugula Salad, Chicken Pesto Sandwich, and Sausage Mushroom & Carmelized Onion Pizza. You can really feel the pride and love that goes into their wines and everything I tasted was delicious! And all nestled nicely between Highway 101 and Cabrillo Blvd, and between Garden Street and State Street. Can't even start with what my favorite spots are, I find a new one each time I visit. Usually plenty of street parking on the weekdays, and on the weekends definitely need to use one of the assorted public parkling lots in the area. You'll also find Live DJ's, Karaoke, Trivia Nights, Live Music, Bingo, Happy/Hoppy Hours . . . and sometimes dancing in the streets.

We eventually had to flag down another member of the staff just to get any service at all. Even after we caught his attention, our server seemed aware of us but made no effort to approach or assist. Additionally, the wait time for our wine flights was excessively long. When the cheese board finally arrived, I was shocked to find that all three cheeses were served still inside their original plastic wrappers--not even sliced. To make matters worse, we were provided with plastic knives to cut the cheese ourselves, which was incredibly difficult and frustrating. I have never encountered a cheese board served this way at any establishment. I really wanted to enjoy this visit, and I want to give credit to the other waitresses who were working that day--they were great and were the only saving grace of the experience. However, the lack of basic service and the bizarre presentation of the food made this a trip I wouldn't recommend

The best boutique winery in Santa Barbara. I can't get enough of Silver Winery's 2008 Saviezza, so delicious. However, I could not stay silent after reading that several others have had a similar bad experience at Santa Barbara Winery. We visited recently and immediately felt unwelcome. An older white woman was very short with us and asked how many people we had and then quickly said that she could not accommodate us. There was a large empty table in open view (it had not been cleaned off yet). She was extremely condescending and rude. We were a group of 10, mixed ethnicities but all minority. We had an engineer, attorney, dentist, and school psychologist in our group- we were not a group that was going to sit around and not buy anything. We were never asked if we wanted to wait for a table, or given any options to get served. I have never had an experience like this and as we walked out to find another winery, we all shared the terrible feeling it gave us. We had 3 children with us and they were very confused about why we were rushed out and not served. I hope this business does a better job of serving its customers in the future.
