I ordered take out and when I went to my room the pasta was mushy and looked like mashed potatoes. I would have returned it but we were in the middle of a snow storm and didn't want to get back out. We checked in and they were already fairly busy. We waited 20 minutes to be seated, no big deal. We waited another 5 minutes for Menus and to be able to place our drink order. Finally got our drinks after three different trips to get them right. Next we ordered an appetizer & a diner salad along with our entree. 37 minutes in after placing our order.....no drink refills, no appetizer, no rolls or salad. We next got up to tell the Manager that we wish to leave and pay for our drinks. He says don't worry about it and says I'm sorry, along with a sorry from the waiter. Then we had to go somewhere else to eat, which all together turned into about a 3 hour adventure just to eat. Well I had high hopes and was sorely disappointed. We both ordered medium chopped sirloin with onions and mushrooms. House salads were passable , hot rolls light and fluffy ( only saving grace to the meal) but our sides of sweet potato was lukewarm and my mashed potato was just a smashed baked potato which was fine but wasn't warm enough to melt the butter. NOW-- chopped sirloins ordered medium. One was over done one was medium rare. So not pleased there but flavor was good. My husband preferred the rarer one so we switched and we were fine. For a chain this is a great steakhouse. I have tried many items on the menu. The steaks are seasoned well and tasty, cooked to perfection. Ribeye is a great choice as well as the Lynchburg steak it has a bourbon glaze on it. Looking for something lighter? They have an excellent caesar salad in which you can also add sliced steak or chicken. The chicken fried steak is very good and comes as a generous portion. They give you fresh hot rolls but lately they seem to be taking them out of the oven a bit too soon and come out a little doughy but they are still delicious. Texas Roadhouse blended with a Taxidermist. This is the first restaurant I have visited in a long time where I was completely confused by the interior. Santa Fe is in New Mexico, The franchise started in Baton Rouge, the Cowboy Combo has Texas sausage, and the bar displays local Oklahoma sports teams (ECU, Ok Thunder, OU, OSU). I went to the website and it seems they make a point NOT to be in Texas. The yeast rolls came served with cinnamon butter. There are peanuts to eat and throw on the floor. There are pretty college girls serving steak. As I was getting my check, the waitstaff started yelling someone's birthday. Sound like Texas Roadhouse? The steak and mixed veggies were really good, my sirloin was almost perfectly cooked. The Santa Fe potatoes were not cooked all the way. Total Bill- $19.38. Average for steak and drink. Four stars by Ada standards, two stars by Dallas standards= 3* total Beer snob side note- why no craft beer? Choc and Prairie Artisan Ales are made 40 miles away! Mediocre at best. Let's start with the positives: the bread and butter is delicious. It's the same kind of sweet rolls you get at places such as Logan's Roadhouse. Very tasty! The mozzarella sticks were also very good! (And I LOVE my mozz sticks). Now let's get to the point. As a former waitress, the service was disappointing. I wish I knew the name of our server, but she didn't wear a name tag or tell us. She kept forgetting things we asked for, and we didn't ask for a lot (just refills, condiments, stuff like that). I was drinking sweet tea, and she asked multiple times if I was drinking water. I was not. The food didn't come out together for the whole table. The mashed potatoes were cold as soon as the plate was placed in front of me. One member of our party ordered the kid's Mac & cheese. If you look at the photo, it just looks like penne noodles and Alfredo sauce. She's 10 and said "it was bland and tasted nothing like Mac & cheese" and refused to eat it. The picture was taken after we paid and were about to leave. I would say our whole table was extremely polite. We said please and thank you for everything, but we never got a response from our waitress. Nothing to let us know that she heard us. We ate at this restaurant on a Sunday evening. The waitress we had really went above and beyond and saved our experience. I truly believe the management needs to be checked up on. The restaurant was slammed busy and our poor waitress accidentally dumped a tray of drinks on her. She recovered wonderfully. She had like five tables waiting on her and came to each and explained what happened. Not once did she have a manager help her and we never seen a manager on the floor at all. Ot took us over an out to get our meal and eat. My steak was cook way to raw so the three stars I gave the restaurant was for the waitress alone. My family and I came to this nice steakhouse for dinner with high hopes. The appetizers were fantastic. But my dad found a hair in his salad, and he ordered a medium rare sirloin steak that was $20.. it came out still mooing and was not appetizing what so ever. My aunt asked for a manger to talk about the steak, she's been in grocery retail for +30 years. Now the manager came said he would give a discount, she told him it shouldn't even came out the kitchen which is exactly right. Very impressed! I ordered a 16oz steak and loaded mashed potatoes with a salad. When getting my steak medium rare. I cut into the steak and it was raw and cold to the touch. They took it back and cooked it some more. After bringing it back again it was still raw. The waitress then apologized for the situation and offered to have the cooks make a new piece of meat l. A group of us stopped in while visiting. We had 11 people. After almost about 30 minutes of waiting we were escorted to a 4 top table. We were told to wait longer. After 25 minutes I asked how long the wait would be. I have two young children who were hungry and ready to eat. I was told that we could already be seated if we would sit at different tables. Which we were offered. So it was our fault that we were not seated. She was so rude and It escalated to a big fuss. The manager walked up to us and threw up his hands and said he wasn't going to deal with this. My whole problem was how rude they were and after our party being the only one left waiting. I was told they only had one table for large groups and it was in use. There was one nice manager. Sadly I cannot remember his name. But Ernesto Campos was the rudest person to walk up last and refused to give me a corporate number and told me to look it up. I ordered take out dinner from here last night and to say it was a disappointment is a HUGE understatement. When I pay almost $100 for dinner I expect better. I ordered the 9oz sirloin and grilled shrimp with onion rings and steamed broccoli. I ordered my steak medium and it was pretty much well done. The onion rings (there were only 5) were packaged on top of my steak which made them soggy from the condensation off of the steak. My husband and step daughter order the chicken fried steak and both steaks were almost burnt and dry. The gravy they received tasted like it had a whole container of garlic poured in it. The food was just disgusting! I was told when I called the order in that it would be ready in 30 minutes but when I arrived to pick up my order I still had to wait at least 20 more minutes. I don't do many reviews, this one is worth my time to post. We went there last night with 8 people to celebrate with family and were VERY disappointed. The service was slow, all our food was cold wen it got out to us, and they messed up almost half of the orders. One person ordered the Santa Fe chicken salad, an she got a plate with a chicken breast on it. Yep, that's it! A piece of chicken! 3 people ordered the Santa Fe tilapia, which has a nice sauce on it. Two of them got blackened catfish. Then the waiter had the gall to argue with us that they don't serve catfish that way! Two of us ordered coleslaw as sides and were told 10 minutes AFTER all the food was brought out that they no longer has any coleslaw and would have to order another side. Two words: Redneck Tea! A Redneck Tea (alcoholic drink) is basically a Long Island with Everclear instead of Vodka, and one other ingredient besides a tap of Coke. It's served in a mason jar, and it's about $8... so it's amazingly efficient in getting you tossed. The food is decent depending on who's cooking that day. The wait staff is just terrible. They do not check on you, smile, or exhibit common courtesy you would expect from a restaurant.
