Pretty good spot! Service was a bit slow. Good for a late night dinner. The fish tacos were an excellent light meal. We ate outside and it was very nice. PS- they may bring you a small dip sampler if it's your first time!!

Last week, my family and I decided to come to Santa Fe for the first time in a few years. We've always liked the food and service, and it's safe to say that we still do! They have a good selection of refreshing cocktails and delicious food! I highly recommend getting their guacamole and the Santa Fe chicken and shrimp entree. The entree comes with a whole chicken breast, 4 shrimp, rice, beans, tortillas, pico, avocados, and two mini quesadillas all for $19! It's such a good amount of food, I had leftovers for the next two days! The restaurant itself is very clean and modern. Definitely check this place out if you're ever in Newark!

I LOVEDDDD this shrimp burrito. It was seasoned perfectly and I absolutely loved the sauces and the fact that the burrito was grilled with some cheese on top. Best burrito I have had in a restaurant in a while. The restaurant was also very cute and clean! Fast and kind staff!

One of my favorite spots on Main Street. Was back for alumni weekend and of course had to stop in. The drinks and food are consistently good. Service was okay, seemed rushed at times but then hard to find someone other times. Fun atmosphere for groups.

The place is a bit noisy, but it is on an awesome college campus. Truly, HENything on the mHENu is stupHENdous. I had the carnitas plate, my wife had the arroz con HEN, and my daughter had the shrimp and chicken. The guacamole is better than Barrio (if you've been to NE Ohio, you'll know what I mean). We were seated immediately and had great service.

I'm always down for some Mexican food, so I was eager to stop here for dinner. The lights inside were too dark for my taste, so I wish they would have just been on. The piña colada I ordered was disgusting so I ended up sending it back in favor of a margarita. The nachos I ordered were decent. I'm thinking maybe I should have just went for some tacos or something.

U Dell eats. Great place for some great food. Chips and salsa free To all of the table. Appetizer was Guacamole (ordered traditional , they also have a mango pepper guacamole). For meal got the Crab Quesadilla (crab, mixed cheese chipotle crab remoulade, sour cream, guacamole). Very good. Will have this every time I go. ! Yum. For meal also got the Enchiladas Del Ray (corn tortilla, salsa ranchera, cheese, pico de gallo, rice, and choice or steak, chicken, or shrimp). I had the shrimp. Very good and fresh. Will be back again.

Plexiglass barriers AND they're only seating every other booth! This is definitely one of the safest restaurants during Covid.

This is hands down our go-to spot! First off, this is the best place we've been when it comes to COVID-related precautions. They just put in plexi glass between tables and booths and have always spaced out all the tables and guests appropriately. For the bar, they even have a spacer to ensure that they aren't sitting two different groups too close together. All the servers, bartenders, cooks, and staff wear masks at all times. My partner is a healthcare provider and we have never felt uncomfortable here whatsoever, and we go there a lot! Second, their food is absolutely delicious and authentic. We have never had a bad meal there and we've probably eaten there over 25 times since they opened. The servers are great and attentive and the bartenders make some delicious drinks. We've had just about everything on the menu at this point. The queso blanco and Azteca sauce are must! Some of the top picks: Alambre (either regular or order al pastor), taquitos de camarones, del rey fajitas, enchiladas, Santa Fe chicken and shrimp, and carnitas burrito. The steak is also better (and cheaper) than any steakhouse in Wilmington. For dessert, you have to try the fried ice cream or fried banana cheesecake. You won't regret it. Lastly, the drinks are delicious. The skinny margarita actually tastes like a regular one. There's a new mango one with mezcal, mango, ginger beer and some other stuff that's my new favorite. The beer selection rotates and the hard liquor options are solid. Overall, could not more strongly suggest this restaurant, especially during COVID.

Good Restaurant. I had mix reviews within my group regarding our dinner at this restaurant. Personally, my chicken chimichanga and my son's burrito were delicious. But some of my friends felt that the rice and beans were tasteless! I think that they need to do something regarding the ambience there---needs badly some TLC! The place is also little dark and had several paper boxes around the soda machine and looked really messy... You don't want people to see that and think your establishment is dirty which I personally don't think it is to be honest.

It's cozy inside with ornate tables which seem to be hand carved and painted in a vibrant traditional style-definitely awakens your senses and mood. So the food...pretty damn good! I had perfectly seasoned steak fajitas served on a sizzling plate of peppers and onions. It came with rice, salad, shredded cheese, and of course soft tortillas on a separate plate. It also comes with sour cream and guacamole but I passed on those and decided to use the green salsa they provided at the table, which had a perfect flavor balance of savory and spicy. The portion sizes are unbelievable! My fajita plate was huge, I had plenty of leftovers to take home. My husband had a Torta Niurca sandwich which was massive. He loved it and was also unable to finish it! The service was fast and friendly. This is the second I've had lunch here. The first time I came I had chicken enchiladas which was just okay. Maybe that was an off day or maybe there are just certain menu items they have that they can knock out of the park. With the steak fajitas, they certainly did!

We stopped in on a Tuesday evening and were seated right away. It wasn't busy when we arrived, and while it did start to fill up, there was never a wait. The restaurant itself was clean and casual, and they do serve alcohol (it looked like they have happy hour specials as well, though we didn't try any). They brought out complimentary chips and salsa to start, with a note on the menu that a second basket comes with a charge. One thing to be aware of: the chips are not made in a dedicated fryer, so they aren't gluten-free. Service was a bit of a mixed experience. There was definitely a language barrier, which made communication difficult at times--our questions often had to go through multiple staff members before we got an answer. Food came out pretty quickly, which we appreciated since we were in a rush. That said, there were some hits and misses. I ordered tacos al pastor but was given steak tacos instead. I tried to explain the mix-up, but it wasn't resolved, and due to time, I just ate them. Unfortunately, the steak was overcooked and tough, and the tacos themselves were very basic--just meat on a corn tortilla, with extras like sour cream costing more. On the plus side, my nephew really enjoyed his kids' cheese quesadilla and fries (the fries looked crispy and well-made). Someone in our group liked the chorizo quesadilla, and another had the birria tacos and thought they were just okay--nothing standout, especially compared to other places. Pricing felt a bit high for the portion size and overall quality. There is a small parking lot, but we didn't have trouble finding a spot, which is always a plus. Overall, Casa Mezcal was convenient and quick, but between the order mix-up, inconsistent food quality, and communication challenges, it didn't fully hit the mark for us. I'd consider giving it another try if I were in the area, but with adjusted expectations.

So I opted not to go because I wanted to experience their atmosphere, customer service and food on a normal day of operation. Fast forward to the evening after Cinco de Mayo. I came in and I was kindly greeted, and since I was flying solo I went to the bartender was quick to greet me, got my chips and salsa to me (which is on the house), and took my drink order. The music was very festive on the inside, the wraparound bar is a nice touch, and the atmosphere overall definitely sets a vibe. I ordered some queso dip cause, why not and it paired nicely with the salsa. I then proceeded to order the Quesabirria Taco dish that was phenomenal and I HIGHLY recommend. The birria consommé that comes with it, it so good so dip those tacos like your tastebuds depend on it. To say the least I am glad I went there the day after Cinco de Mayo and while I'm sure it was a vibe itself, I don't think I would have quite gotten the service and experience I did when they are operating on a normal day. All good things in moderation I guess‍.
