I now understand why they have a 1 star rating. I had to call to figure out why the website shows a different amount than my monthly payment. The first person I talked to was rude and kept cutting me off when I was talking. I told her I wanted to speak with someone else, and she transferred me to a manager. I had set up a promise to pay plan, and the website showed I had made my payment for last month, but they were telling me I'm 33 days past due. Probably the worst finance company I've ever interacted with. A simple title update (Remove decedent co-owner) has taken over two months, a dozen calls, and two (so far) trips to the DPS. First, I was told Santander removed the decedent, which was false. Decedent still not only showing on my Santander account, but also on the title. Then I was told all I need to remove them from the title is a LOP (Letter of permission) from Santander to provide to the DPS, which was false. Then I was told Santander does not own the title (Lienholder, yes they do.) If I could leave negative 100 stars I would. last month I had an issue with them double charging me for my car payment which then put my account into the negatives. I called to speak with someone and their customer service sucks. They were extremely unhelpful and somehow made it my fault that they double charged me. I asked to speak to a higher up and finally was able to speak to someone with an executive position. She was helpful and I was eventually refunded the amount over drafted from my account, about 2 weeks later. They did not refund me for the overdraft fee and they told me they were unable to credit it to the next month so I had to pay that overdraft fee. I got over it and figured whatever that's life. Well this month I checked my account and the same thing happened AGAIN. This is so frustrating that I can't seem to speak to anybody that is able to help me this time. They overdraft my account and then speak to me like this is my fault and are extremely rude and unhelpful. I'm frustrated and tired of them. They recommended I just leave the charge so I won't have a bill next month even after I explained to them my account is in the negatives and I have other bills that need paid. I've also had to pay over 60 dollars in fees due to the overdraft. After reading the reviews it doesn't seem like I'm the only one experiencing issues.
